SO16_Saint Posted 20 July, 2009 Posted 20 July, 2009 to save me reading the whole thread. Who gets my £5? Ultimately, SFC
ooohTerryHurlock Posted 20 July, 2009 Posted 20 July, 2009 I'm in! Payed me money! - How about we go for first dibs on the first new signing for AP - or even go for AP himself with a match worn shirt signed by the whole squad? At least that would show the new gaffer that we are 100% behind him as we march on!
Nineteen Canteen Posted 20 July, 2009 Posted 20 July, 2009 WOW - £1005 all ready and still a week to go at this rate we will be able to sponsor 2 players AND donate to Saints in the Community. Love Dubai Phil's idea of day in the life of player - not a lot of work from the player and a closer bond for the forum to the team. Well done boys and girls keep it up COYR :-) Reminds me of Shoot magazine back in the more innocent days when it didn't feel embarrassing to ask your newsagent (in front of you neighbour) if they had the latest copy of Shoot! in stock. The players could answer questions like what car do you drive? BMW? Audi?? Citreon Saxo 1.1 full bodykit. Don't be embarrased you could drive an X5 or Q7! Apparently when Peter Crouch was asked what would he be if he wasn't a footballer, he answered: probably a virgin!

stevegrant Posted 22 July, 2009 Author Posted 22 July, 2009 The list should now be up to date, including any online payments made and anything sent through the post. Let me know if you've paid and your username doesn't appear on the list.

I didn't read the thread before I paid and forgot to add my username - I've just donated £10 this morning - can you it find it?
trousers Posted 23 July, 2009 Posted 23 July, 2009 Any inkling as to when the club will publish the 'unsponsored' list? Cheers
Guided Missile Posted 23 July, 2009 Posted 23 July, 2009 It is apparent that the fantastic support that the posters have provided, is likely to mean that 2 players are sponsored and thus double the number of prizes are on offer. I'm now just hoping for the extra donations to now allow us to give to Saints in the Community. I am sure that everyone is aware that the possible presentation of a cheque to the club for this worthy charity, (hopefully by Steve Grant on our behalf) will give this forum and it's members so much respect and kudos that it could become the focal point for the fans/club interface. The power of the internet and the future of fan representation....IMHO
thefunkygibbons Posted 23 July, 2009 Posted 23 July, 2009 just send £10 (last 2 minutes) but no name attached so it was me

Guest Dark Sotonic Mills Posted 25 July, 2009 Posted 25 July, 2009 Can I sponsor a stud....? Ron Jeremy?
hamster Posted 25 July, 2009 Posted 25 July, 2009 Surely we should get a feature in the programme?? Yeah, they could interview Nick Illingsworth as our spokesperson.
TheSaintPhil Posted 25 July, 2009 Posted 25 July, 2009 Wierdly I didnt have a box and it was from lewisuk.com and trans code 7K589592LD423515T sorry!

stevegrant Posted 27 July, 2009 Author Posted 27 July, 2009 Right, entries to this are now closed. We have raised a total of £1340, which is excellent. There is one PayPal payment which was un-named, if you have contributed via PayPal but your name is not on the list, please let me know asap. I'm still waiting for some direct payments to clear, so if you paid directly into our account, your name may not be on the list yet. If that's the case, don't panic I will be creating a temporary sub-forum, access to which will be restricted to those who have contributed. This is simply so that I can easily restrict who gets to vote on which player(s) we sponsor. Watch this space
Saint_clark Posted 27 July, 2009 Posted 27 July, 2009 How much is it to actually sponsor a player? And therefore, how much extra will be going to a charity?

Or are you worried of calls of foul play if your name comes out of the hat?!
stevegrant Posted 27 July, 2009 Author Posted 27 July, 2009 So are yourself and the Badger not taking part in the fun? Or are you worried of calls of foul play if your name comes out of the hat?! You answered your own question there I thought it best not to get involved - I also didn't have a pot to p!ss in last week
stevegrant Posted 27 July, 2009 Author Posted 27 July, 2009 How much is it to actually sponsor a player? And therefore, how much extra will be going to a charity? It varies depending on the player(s) chosen.
hamster Posted 27 July, 2009 Posted 27 July, 2009 Right, entries to this are now closed. I also didn't have a pot to p!ss in last week Woah Steve, woah there. As per the second quote I too was waiting until payday to join in the fun. I was thinking you'd keep it going and get enough to sponsor 2 players. Never mind though, don't want to upset the applecart I know this can be a thankless task mate.
Block 5 Posted 27 July, 2009 Posted 27 July, 2009 I noticed Simon Gillet appeared to be without a sponsor so far. Ideal candidate IMHO.

stevegrant Posted 28 July, 2009 Author Posted 28 July, 2009 OK, the sub-forum has been set up - if you've contributed, you should be able to see it on the forum front page. Please go in that forum and vote on the two polls asap. I don't know for certain how long I'm going to be able to leave those polls open, so please cast your votes as a matter of urgency.
