I just popped over the road to my school and asked 24 kids to draw/describe the Swiss flag on a piece of paper. 14 got it spot on. Two nearly got it right but did the cross all the way to the edges and three got it the wrong way round. The others barely even bothered to try - with one asking "why?" and another asking "what are you doing in our class sir, where's Mrs.Bryce?"

 

So 14/24, so about 58% of kids actually know what the Swiss flag looks like. Although I am not in Southampton, where, I should imagine, many more kids are now aware of what the Swiss flag looks like.

That's a terrible % for a school in Geneva!!!!!!!!!
