trousers Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 "I am looking forward immensely to attending my first match at St Mary's for our friendly with AFC Ajax on Saturday," he said. "It will be my first visit since late May when I first become convinced to make my investment in this great Club. "I do hope that as many supporters as possible will be able to attend the fixture to cheer the team on." Top man
Frank's cousin Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 Lookng good for 25k they say - which would be great - although a full house would really be great - show the man what the true potential is and what great fans we really are... Should be a good day, even though I am worried we might get trounced... ;-(
kpturner Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 Gonna be pretty much a full house unless a large proportion of the freebie tickets don't show up.
MINIBARCELONASAINT Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 I lost my ticket on way home and as i paid by cash i cant get another!!! (angry face)
ART Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 The sad thing is that a stadium full of potential regulars look to be shocked into returning for the rest of the season. I feel he should have waited till we had signed one or two players and had our next manager in place. As long as the players on show give it their all folk will understand but any lackluster performance like last season and a slaughtering will be a complete commercial disaster.
NickG Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 I'm going, was lucky enough to find a ticket in the street.
Big Bad Bob Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 I lost my ticket on way home and as i paid by cash i cant get another!!! (angry face) They'll have your name and address on record so I'm sure that if you explain nicely they'll give you a replacement!!
INFLUENCED.COM Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 "It will be my first visit since late May when I first become convinced to make my investment in this great Club. Was convinced in late May to buy us, if only we knew that then.
Big Bad Bob Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1724000,00.html Maybe, reading between the lines, he's hinting that we need to be there to hear the good news of Alex Ferguson and Rooney signing for us!!
skintsaint Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 I'm going, was lucky enough to find a ticket in the street.
Dicko Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 I'm going, was lucky enough to find a ticket in the street. :D Proper LOL moment Nick
NickG Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 Was convinced in late May to buy us, if only we knew that then. Cortesse heard about it one day. He was in UK next day with ML and took him to St Marys and Staplewood with Fry and by 5pm ML verbally offered the price. source - Cortesse's interview spread in Echo
Tractor_Saint Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 I'm going, was lucky enough to find a ticket in the street. lol - one mans loss and all that
OldNick Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 all the consortium spotters with their cameras missed him then.Lol. Too interested in earlobes
krissyboy31 Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 all the consortium spotters with their cameras missed him then.Lol. Too interested in earlobes Were they dressed up as two chancers from the Channel Islands?
OldNick Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 don't think it was match day. But we did have our spotters out. You know the ones who said KK was at the club with a load of people when it was Mervyn King
LostBoys Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 I think we will be advised that WGS is the new manager and I think we will get a real dicking until they give up at half time
wightman35 Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 I'm going, was lucky enough to find a ticket in the street. My biggest laugh of the morning. Even if naughty!
kpturner Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 If he can log on here he can even get a list of the names of the people going: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=14953 I think a personal note of thanks to each one would not go amiss.

Not really............I suspect most fans (and not just forum members), are expecting a thrashing, we all know the change has just begun with the new regime.

eelpie Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 I lost my ticket on way home and as i paid by cash i cant get another!!! (angry face) If you are on the database and have a membership number or you are a past season ticket holder you should be able to get a duplicate one. I have in the past. Or there are some on this site who have got free tickets and aren't able to use them.

He is so enthusiastic, Art, he can't wait. And he will know the truth of our squad weaknesses, which will not be a bad thing. I expect he will be here when we have a new manager too.
Clapham Saint Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 Cortesse heard about it one day. He was in UK next day with ML and took him to St Marys and Staplewood with Fry and by 5pm ML verbally offered the price. source - Cortesse's interview spread in Echo Do you have a link? If he made an offer in May which then wasn't accepted until July...
leehoudini Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 I'm going, was lucky enough to find a ticket in the street. That made me laugh!!

Weston Super Saint Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 If I can get Stu away from the face painter for long enough I might be able to get my four year olds face done for her first ever game

Saint Fan CaM Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 Ajax thumped Bristol City 4-0 last night and made them look garbage... god help us !!!! Yeah, well THAT will not be happening to us. Weston Super Saint Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 nah i paid cash not a St holder etc so lost out on a ticket i paid for there, anyone wanna help a fellow fan! I've got some old Tescos bags I could let you have, so next time you can put your ticket in the bag and run less of a risk of losing it
CWD Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 Well i listened to ML and booked my tickets this morning. He is a top bloke
Patrick Bateman Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1724000,00.html Would love to have gone, but unfortunately, whilst this match is on I shall probably be in the middle of my 3 peaks challenge and either getting very wet, very hot, very injured, or all 3.
iansums Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 Hope the crowd is about 25K, that would be great. I will taking my 10 year daughter along in another attempt to convince her of the importance (and enjoyment) of supporting Saints.
stevegrant Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 Word from Baj who's just been to SMS to get tickets for the game - apparently they've sold 26,500 :smt103
qwertySFC Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 Come on lets fill it , only 6000 to go , good weather and a decent walk up crowd , would be fantastic to show ML our club was worth the investment
saints_is_the_south Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 Word from Baj who's just been to SMS to get tickets for the game - apparently they've sold 26,500 :smt103 It was 17,000 earlier today so they've manged to sell nearly 10k in 1 day? Very unlikely, would be nice tho!
saints_is_the_south Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 Just spoken to David Luker, just under 20k sold so far.
