How about local ales, I would be loving that.

When I went to a rugby match noe long ago (I know we arnt allowes beer in the stands) but before the game there were loads of people with what I can only describe as a keg of beer on there back walking around serving people before the game. Great atmosphere it was quality.

COYR

Good idea, how hard would it be for the club to support Ringwood ales or someone.

1 - the ability to both leave and return to the stadium during half time to have a smoke outside away from people who dont like it

2 - employ kids behind the refreshment stands that can serve more than 40 people an hour

3 - have one member of staff per till and at least one coffee machine per 2 tills

4- have coffee that tastes like, well coffee

5 - only allow people who can read to go to toilet, i.e no entry means you use the door marked entry!

6 - allow post match reporters(if we have one) to ask questions that might upset people without the fear that they will lose there jobs or not get any further interviews

7 - strikers that at least look like they give a damn

8 - players that score

9 - a team that wins

10 - a designated penalty taker that can take penalty's

11 - ive bought my ST again and intend to keep doing so, can i have a plaque with my name on it and the words keep your arses off my seat!

i love to moan if you hadnt guessed

Lift the whole stadium and plonk it down in monks brook, stoneham, by the m27 where it should've gone all along.

that would have been the worst idea ever

i for one, am so glad that rupert (for what ever reason) did not build/get the chance to put our new ground there

Instead of plastic seats, a selection of comfy chairs and sofas, scatter cushions, chaise longues, pouffes and beds - oh and a small library please.

Blimey! You're either Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen or an Arsenal fan pining for a return to Highbury!! :D

Why?

it would have been a bland design (much like now i guess) with a cinema attached to it..or even a souless business park

we have a BIGGER stadium in the heart of the city and a stones throw from where the bloody club was formed almost 125 years ago...it is soley used for saints and THEY deceide if it used for concerts etc..not a business park or a cinema..

It would NOT have had a cinema next to it! How many bloody times?

Because that last idiot who ran the club (whose name I forget) wanted a cinema and a shopping development, the project was vetoed by Eastleigh Borough Council.

either way...would you rather we had a 25k stadium on the outsjirts of the city or a 32k stadium in the heartbeat of the city and right next to where the whole thing started....?

I love SMS and would not change it fo for anything/other option

Redecorate the concources, particularly at the Northam and Chapel ends. No more bare breeze blocks. We should be able to find someone with talent who can paint lifesize images of players from the past on the walls - perhaps in that simplistic, posterised style. I remember one of the big football websites did T-shirts in that style. Just a three or four colour job ought to do... Imagine Matty's last goal at the Dell or Bobby Stokes wheeling away imortalised on the walls. Keegan, Channon, Ball, etc. etc.

Also I reckon they should suspend stuff from the beams and ceiling space over the concourse. I'd say scarves and flags but that's a fire hazard so we'd have to make do with replicas made out of flame-retardant material.

You can imagine the atmosphere down on the concourse for an evening match in winter, 1-0 up at half-time on a promotion push, beer flowing, fans singing "Oh When the Saints" slow and loud and soulful, with the reminders of 100+ years of saintliness all around... Sends a little shiver down my spine :-)

Ah, but what I said DD is to lift sms and place in that location, not to have the stadium as it was planned back then, whatever those plans were. See?
