Joesaint Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Just with regards to our great situation wonder if anyone can play trumpet or something I just think that everyone would love to hear it in St Marys. Just having a couple of big drums as well, carnival atmospheres what we want, bring on the season (after a new manager is installed!!) Would make the atmosphere even better, its probably sorted or something and if so axe to thread. COYR
Saint Fan CaM Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 If it's over in the Northam then yep, bring it on. Anywhere near my seat, no thanks.
lee_saint Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 It's a skate thing....no thanks, it annoys me at England games.
CWD Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 My brother is learning the trombone. But seeing as he's 9 and so far can only play the pompey chimes im guessing he doesnt get the job? im working on getting him to play OWTS so dont worry

Also, if anyone in the Northam dares bring a trumpet, or drums or any other stupid musical instrument, then expect to be regurgitating it for the rest of the season. It's football, not a carnival, leave that to the mong Westwood.
Gingeletiss Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 We had this debate before.............NO THANK YOU!!!....blo ody annoying things.

Seriously, musical instruments at football in my eyes would be as popular as a yank wearing the Stars and Stripes in Tehran High Street. Its not just Westwood, that bloke from Blackpool's constant banging on the drums should have his sticks rammed firmly where the sun dont shine...... Which is probably Blackpool!

CB Saint Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Whatever happened to football rattles? Christ no. They were giving them out free a few years back to the kids. I was positively murderous by half time. An oompa band would be more appropriate.
Arizona Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 F*ck no. Musical instruments at football matches just sound awful. Even the England supporters band, who you'd think would be sh*t-hot, just sound like a boy Scout band at the school summer barbeque. Playing the great escape on a trumpet over and over again, with someone whacking a drum completely out of time. My mind was made up 2 years ago when that Blackpool fan brought a drum to SMS and killed the atmosphere stone dead. IIRC a steward planted one on him after 25 minutes and they all got dragged out by the old bill.
Thedelldays Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 i think it is a fab idea...infact I want you to be near me...my season ticket is in the Northam, block 44...
