St.Patrik Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 It looks like a training shirt to me. Will get one anyway for sure.
saint.tom.clancy Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1722538,00.html Obviously is the new away kit. I like the little carving behind the saints badge
krissyboy31 Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 I wonder if this thread has forced the club's hand in revealing the shirt this evening?
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1722538,00.html Obviously is the new away kit. I like the little carving behind the saints badge Yeah agreed, tis very nice. I quite like that shirt, I may actually purchase one!
Spades Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 So its confirmed... im not a fan... especially with yellow shorts and socks... wont be buying it
Nexstar Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 The carving by the badge is very nice, just not sure about the colour. Might grow on me though.
saint lard Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 I quite like it to be honest, much better than the grey, sorry, flint.
Scoobysaint Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 I think it looks pretty smart. Can we still sing yellows, yellows even though its mainly blue!
scott_saints Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Don't like it, but will buy it anyway. Do like that carving though!
Channon's Sideburns Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Would have preferred all yellow...or yellow and navy stripes... But then again, all kits seem to be returning to the 80's in style...Everton and West Ham's both look like their from 1985... Won't be buying it... BUT....better than last season's god-awful Grey kit...
Griffo Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 The stuff around the badge looks decent. The yellow bit looks ****e on Wotton's shirt, and really square, although it looks rounded on Lloyd James', this may be because of the way they're standing and because Lloyd has his shoulders slumped?
SaintsAddict Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 I thought we would be getting a special 125 commemorative shirt and if this is it then I am a bit underwhelmed by it tbh. I think that either the colours on the shirt should be the other way round or the shorts and socks should be navy. Maybe we will get a one off home shirt ala spurs a few years ago as well as this, could potentially be a money maker and would be a nice bit of memorabilia.
Ponty Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 This shirt will separate the men from the boys. It'll hang like snot from a toddler's nose off of the rounded shoulders of most of our feeble squad.

Seeing as it's only 2009 now, and will be 2010 at the beginning of next season.
offix Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 I quite like it to be honest, much better than the grey, sorry, flint. agreed
krissyboy31 Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Wouldn't that be next season though? Seeing as it's only 2009 now' date=' and will be 2010 at the beginning of next season.[/quote'] Correct. 21st November 2010 so not the upcoming season.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Of all the colours to major on the shirt it had to be blue - our fishy friends will be cacking themselves over this. On the bright side, its better than the dull grey shirt that matched the dull performances last season. I wonder whether there will be a corresponding new home shirt and if its radical in design?
Bristol_Benji Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 From a psychological / trinny and susannah (!) perspective the use of horizontal divide by the shoulders will at least give the impression that our multitude of skinny youngsters (james, thomson, gillet, mills etc) are bulkier than they really are! In a league like League One, most teams are made up of brutes, so the kit may actually be good from a psychological perspective. It looks horrid though. Disclaimer: my gf knew about the trinny and susannah thing, not me!
saints_is_the_south Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Horrible imo, had asked the missus to buy me our new away shirt for me birthday but told her not to bother now. I do like some of the new training gear though, any news on when that will be on sale?
bigchrisy Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 I like it to be honest Would have prefered all yellow though Any ideas on prices yet? And how many seasons?

The Blue Dimplex from 93/94 or the similar blue to this we had at the turn of the century. It's different, not too bad, it could of been alot worse.....alas the Newcastle away.
Michelle Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Not overly sure about this just yet, but think it's gonna be a grower.
Red And White Barmy Army Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 just what we need in league 1. fat and ugly. stern john will love it. seriously, this is awful. bets on lowest uptakes on an away kit since the purple aston villa 1 about 10 years back?
saint_disco123 Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 hmm the yellow doesnt look good but hey, we are in L1 but i mean with the take over we could at least have a bit more class surely
Colinjb Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 It's not great, but hey, another one for the collection.
Saintleigh Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Correct. 21st November 2010 so not the upcoming season. Hopefully without a sponsor's logo to fade/peel off ala Leicester as we're loaded now and won't need the money!
M271 Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 I don't like it, in some pictures it looks like someone wearing a yellow bikini top on top of a dark blue shirt, bit too high up to be a bikini though I agree.
GAS Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Yikes that's new on me. Not sure itf I like it but at least it's got some yellow. New kit accidently leaked on ebay? Is Flybe still our sponsor?
paulwantsapint Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Typical of OS no release date or price, online shop still showing 08-09 as only away shirt At least no stupid Box around sponsor
equalizer Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Typical of OS no release date or price, online shop still showing 08-09 as only away shirt At least no stupid Box around sponsor To be fair it is hard to spot but they say its on sale from the 5th August, your right no price though, I wonder how much they'll pay me to wear it! You can also win one if you find a Willy Wonka style golden ticket in Saturdays programme!
saints_is_the_south Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Typical of OS no release date or price, online shop still showing 08-09 as only away shirt At least no stupid Box around sponsor OS says release date is 5th August & fans can pre-order from next Monday.
SaintDonkey Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 A truly awful kit, it's blue ffs. Some of our best seasons were with blue away kits - and much bluer ones than this. It's growing on me, the OS photos look so much nicer than the crappy ebay on a hanger job. And surely some one at Umbro is losing a job over this!
Saint Jude Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 ...would love to see what some of you lot choose when you go shopping - this is absolutely awful....they couldn't find a shirt designer but found there was a local wood carver out of a job, so they thought they'd use him.....
Scudamore Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 I see The9 has been bidding then...wonder how far i can push the price up on him?
Tractor_Saint Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 I see The9 has been bidding then...wonder how far i can push the price up on him? Think you may find the auction is pulled before it finishes....
Spades Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Iv been looking at it... and iv decided now that i actualy quite like it... its quite smart
Hatch Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 It's alright. Could be pink for all I care. As long as our 10 shirts are different from the opponents 10.
Draino76 Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Wimbledon circa 1980/90's :-( Maybe thats the kind of spirit we're trying to galvanise this year, or maybe suggested by Denniss Wise? Anyhoo, after a few hours....I like it. So that means it must be good.
St.Patrik Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Thank god its better looking the this anyway.... http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/page/Gallery/0,,10337~1577285,00.html
