BWP set to sign for Plymouth

**** me, I can't believe people who watched this clown play can actually think we should have kept him. I am absolutely delighted he's gone. It occurred to me th other day that during his 3 years at Saints, the only time we were any good in that period was at the end of the 2006/7 season when we made the playoffs. The strikers then were Jones, Saga, Best, Rasiak. BWP wasn't even making the bench. Even Whisky George could see he was ****ing useless.

Hooray you say...

The question is can we or will we get any better in his place?

I doubt it.

I doubt we could find anyone worse!

For a striker and appalling record (1 goal in every 6 games), countless times caught offside, brought the name of the club into disrepute by antics in Portsmouth night club ..... a total waste of money and space.

Patterson - you've got to be kidding?! Neither he nor White should be counted on to lead the line this season -support, subs maybe- but we need proper replacements, ideally style for style (so we need the pace of a BWP, something which Patterson hasn't got). We will be exposed again if we get complacent and do things on the cheap.

I mentioned Patterson based on having witnessed him play at Bournemouth last Saturday , anyone who saw his goal will confirm this lad shows promise . Personally I'd have him in the team rather than yet another disappointing string of BWP non performances . All just my opinion of course .

I agree with you we do need more established players as our main strike-force this coming season .

we certainly need pace, but don't underestimate Patterson. In every game he has played he has shown strength, touch and desire. He certainly didn't look out of his depth in the CCC and a division lower is going to help him shine. We need four strikers and I'm happy for him to be one of those.

So have most rapists, but I wouldn't play them up front in League 1. I think Paterson has a potential, but he barely made it onto the bench for most of last season. He was, in essence, not good enough to be back-up to a team, which wasn't good enough for the CCC. I'd hesistate to say he'd be ready for League one based on the little we've seen thus far.

I'd agree on the 4 strikers principle, but he wouldn't be one of them. For me I'd be Rasiak, Saga, Lallana (reliant on whether any of those 3 want to be here), plus one more. Preferably someone with pace, but who also knows the offside rule and has shoulders.

I would agree with this - when I saw him last season I thought he did well and has potential.

Apart from scoring the winner against Leeds in the penultimate home game of the season keeping our hopes of reaching the play-offs alive.
