Mole Posted 11 July, 2009 Share Posted 11 July, 2009 The swiss were always in the background, but we were lucky that the Pinnacle deal fell through. BTW IF Tony Adams is chosen as manager, if, we should at least give him a chance if that is who then new owners have chosen. If Adams has our support he has a better chance of succeeding and wha t a disaster it would be if our new owner left us due to a few moaning minnies ! Well said Dalek. So long as it's not Hoddle. ottery st mary Posted 11 July, 2009 Share Posted 11 July, 2009 The Lowe Luvvie crap should be forgotten instead of bringing it up you few Lowe Luvvies....Enjoy what we have instead of whining all the time....Onwards and upwards.... Lowe is gone for Fluuuuck sake..Let it go up and away in the clouds... Whoever talks of Luvvies should be shot.. Micky Posted 11 July, 2009 Share Posted 11 July, 2009 I am ecstatic, but also very realistic. Whichever way you look at it, administration is not the way to go. Shortsightedly we got rid of Lowe and his cronies - all well an good. Step back, take a longer look, and how many others have suffered and lost money through our administration - a fair old few. Yes I'm very happy with where we are today - but I would rather build a successful business (and therefore club), on professional business practice and not have to rely on administration as a way out. As I have said - we were very lucky (and I am happy) but others have not been, so let's not do the old Russian Roulette bit again eh?
Crab Lungs Posted 11 July, 2009 Share Posted 11 July, 2009 Been saying for years now we have the biggest whingers in football as fans, its unbelievable. Granted, we've been through some bad times but there is an element of cackers that just want to do nothing but pick holes and whinge. Having said that, Adams WOULD BE A DISASTER. There in lay a serious problem the word you used SHORTSIGHTEDLY:smt039 DO NOT WORRY ABOUT RUSSIAN ROULETTE, LUTON TOWN or The cronies mob. Those who suffered through Administration will be sorted...That is except the cronies.:smt073....A few genuine peeps will get my sympathy etc....But maybe we can repay the real peeps somehow. A sucessful businessman is now:smt007 here to rebuild the business and THE CLUB.... So why should you worry about what happened regarding the cronies and what they did to this great club....Medication is now needed for all the fans to survive this roller coaster of HOPE:rolleyes: sO WORRY NO MORE...Look forwards...ADMINISTRATION IS HISTORY AND WE must CONCENTRATE ON THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE:smt007
Clapham Saint Posted 11 July, 2009 Share Posted 11 July, 2009 Lets move forward. We've had so much sh*te over the last few years can we worry about how things might or might not have been done differently another time? For the first time in ages I'm excited about football. Let's keep it that way for as long as possible!
gjphilsaint Posted 11 July, 2009 Share Posted 11 July, 2009 We have had 5 years of contemplating our navel. Can't people just enjoy this new era, we have been waiting long enough ! Thats the point isnt it.. atrophy has set in and we are all set in our ways of being used to poor management/leadership... carp performances... rotten seasons ... and amongst us all we looked for people to blame ...face it kelvin got a helluva lot of stick in the last few years but look at him now... setting his stall out with an amazing gesture of faith in our club. Perhaps we should all take a leaf out of his book. A new beginning.. for us all, but with a realism that all us fans can do is get behind the club and support it in the way we used to do. The rest of it, selecting a manager (we cannot exert our preferences in the way we did for a proposed Hoddle return under L*we), buying players, selecting the team we have no influence (even though we will all have our opinions). We have been looking down for some time and now we are starting to realise that standing up straight and setting our targets for the stars is going to hurt, new muscles will be used to adopt a diiferent posture. We are like an athlete fallen on hard times, but with the revitalisation on offer can once again reach the heights of former times! All IMHO of course. L1Minus10 Posted 11 July, 2009 Share Posted 11 July, 2009 Alpine is 100% correct. Some people just can't live and let live and be happy - they have to throw in a conspiracy theory and try and make people worry. Just bask in the glow for a bit FFS. Obvious this would happen though. I'm considering retiring from the forum because I know people ae going to be so impatient when the football starts...

scotty Posted 11 July, 2009 Share Posted 11 July, 2009 Absolutely, but it hasn't even been a week since the best thing that has happened to our club for years occurred. We need to remember that we have looked into the abyss and even a week ago, survival was not certain. Now, for the first time in years, something promising has HAPPENED to us. As I did not spend any money (Don't have spare!) to buy Saints, I will support the decisions of the person who has paid up for us to have a Team. By the way, I think Alpine has been right more often than some of us give him credit for.
