SaintDonkey Posted 11 July, 2009 Posted 11 July, 2009 Sorry if reported elsewhere but the SSN League 1 ticker thing is reporting that MLT has confirmed he is in talks with the new owners over a role at the club.
Ewell Posted 11 July, 2009 Posted 11 July, 2009 If you watch the full interview when it is on next then it does not come across as anything to get too excited about. He says he will definitely not be manager despite being 20-1 with the bookies. He also said he could not see himself being chairman and the call from Pinnacle came out of the blue. A kid asked him if he may have a role at the club and he said he was going to speak with the new management team soon but if he did accept a role it was very likely to be a small one. He will be a pundit for our game against Millwall. No mention of his soccer Saturday position.
manji Posted 11 July, 2009 Posted 11 July, 2009 They have just shown an interview with Matt saying he is having a meeting with Andy Oldnow about a possible position at the club.
SaintRobbie Posted 11 July, 2009 Posted 11 July, 2009 (edited) Thats good news. MLT did nothing other than try and save Saints over Pinnacle. Legend. I like the humility being shown by the new owners if this is true. Nice... gets better and better. (Not manager though Matt!) Edited 11 July, 2009 by SaintRobbie spellink

Yep have to agree with you SaintRobbie, MLT tried to save our club as saints is in his blood. Whether he is part of the new structure or not he will remain a legend.

70's Mike Posted 11 July, 2009 Posted 11 July, 2009 All very positive from the new owners, get it right on the pitch and this could take off
Lets B Avenue Posted 11 July, 2009 Posted 11 July, 2009 He said on Wednesday (when SSN were asking him about the takeover) that he was back on Soccer Saturday for the forthcoming season.
SaintRobbie Posted 11 July, 2009 Posted 11 July, 2009 He said on Wednesday (when SSN were asking him about the takeover) that he was back on Soccer Saturday for the forthcoming season. Probably some ambassadorial role then?
corsacar saint Posted 11 July, 2009 Posted 11 July, 2009 Would be another excellent move by the new owner to have MLT on board in some capacity.

The futures bright, the future is RED AND WHITE.
S-Clarke Posted 11 July, 2009 Posted 11 July, 2009 Maybe they're tapping into his manager knowledge, as he spoke to a fair few people during the pinnacle debacle about becoming our manager. Then they'll offer him a DoF position? It's the sensible move really, when you've got someone as high profile as MLT available - use him.

He'd have enough sense to tell AO that Adams (T) is NOT the right choice
