Webby Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 Are you having a fricking laugh? What's he done to be worth £5m? Is that what premiership reserves are worth nowadays?
Arizona Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 Saw him at Hull when we got stuffed 5-0 a year and a bit back. He was absolutely class, even in that Hull team. Reminded me of Theo at times. Trouble was, so did Henrik Pedersen, so maybe that game wasn't a true reflection of his ability. I'd say £5m was a bit steep, but more has been spent on worse players.
brightspark Posted 11 July, 2009 Posted 11 July, 2009 In 5 years, players like Frazier Campbell will be worth 15 million, and Real Madrid will be spending 500 million on fantastic young talents such as Ryan Smith.
Andy_Porter Posted 11 July, 2009 Posted 11 July, 2009 If there are 3-4 clubs willing to pay that much then he obviously is worth 5m.
Saint Martini Posted 11 July, 2009 Posted 11 July, 2009 If Kenwyne Jones was worth 6 million then I'd say 5 million for Frazier Campbell isn't that bad. They've performed similarly in the Championship, the only difference is that Jones didn't have a failed season at Spurs inbetween and that Frazier Campbell is younger.
the stain Posted 15 July, 2009 Posted 15 July, 2009 Anybody continuing to pay money for Bobby Zamora is, IMO, a mental.
Hatch Posted 15 July, 2009 Posted 15 July, 2009 not to mention Bobby Zamora going for 5m I saw that in the paper this morning. fell off my chair in shock.
Saintjersey Posted 15 July, 2009 Posted 15 July, 2009 If Darren Bent was worth £16.5m (I think) then Campbell is worth £5m. Just shows how overly priced English players are.
saint1977 Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 I saw that in the paper this morning. fell off my chair in shock. Brown has also bought Murphy from Sunderland. Hull just can't seem to attract the players, unless Brown can pull off a couple of big signings Hull sadly look likely to compete for Derby's "record".
