Saw him at Hull when we got stuffed 5-0 a year and a bit back. He was absolutely class, even in that Hull team. Reminded me of Theo at times. Trouble was, so did Henrik Pedersen, so maybe that game wasn't a true reflection of his ability.

 

I'd say £5m was a bit steep, but more has been spent on worse players.

In 5 years, players like Frazier Campbell will be worth 15 million, and Real Madrid will be spending 500 million on fantastic young talents such as Ryan Smith.

If Kenwyne Jones was worth 6 million then I'd say 5 million for Frazier Campbell isn't that bad. They've performed similarly in the Championship, the only difference is that Jones didn't have a failed season at Spurs inbetween and that Frazier Campbell is younger.

If Darren Bent was worth £16.5m (I think) then Campbell is worth £5m. Just shows how overly priced English players are.

Brown has also bought Murphy from Sunderland. Hull just can't seem to attract the players, unless Brown can pull off a couple of big signings Hull sadly look likely to compete for Derby's "record".
