pilsburydoughboy Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 I have not seen his name mentioned yet. I would like to see somebody rule the team with a rod of iron.He is a proven winner and a true battler. I think he would fit the bill exactly.

Seriously, I despair at the lack of knowledge of some of the fans on this board, I really do.

Matthew Le God Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 He was appointed Ipswich manager on 23rd April 2009. They have a rich backer. Why would he leave a team in the Championship manager with a rich backer to go to a League One side with a rich backer?
Matthew Le God Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 My hovercraft of full of eels Why do you need matches?
eurosaint Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 He's at Ipswich. Seriously, I despair at the lack of knowledge of some of the fans on this board, I really do.[/QUOTE] Totally agree, do they live in little cocoons and just come out every so often to post garbage ????

It's just basic football knowledge, really ****ing basic. I mean Jesus H Christ.
Tractor_Saint Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 You're even worse than those Ipswich supports who are asking for his resignation since they lost their pre-season friendly! Only been in the job a few months there.
S-Clarke Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 There was someone on the Echo comments section yesterday, recommending Coleman, as he's unhappy in Spain - or something along those lines.
Bentley Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 He was a ****ing **** to us when we got relegated from the Premier League. So no.
kpturner Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 There was someone on the Echo comments section yesterday, recommending Coleman, as he's unhappy in Spain - or something along those lines. Perhaps time warps do exist
pilsburydoughboy Posted 10 July, 2009 Author Posted 10 July, 2009 FFS yes he is at Ipswich. We have a rich owner. Yes i was at SMS when he scored against us for us to go down. One game does not put us down over a complete season. Some of the ******s on this board make me laugh. This is new dawn of SFC.Maybe you should realise that we need somebody who will lead from the front and not put up with the ****e we have had in recent times. A hardline manager is what we need if we are to build a team with youngsters.

SFC Forever Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 THE ONLY KEANE I WOULD BE INTERESTED IN GETTING IS ROBBIE FROM SPURS. hcdafgjfu
westofshannonsaint Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 aside from the fact that I don't think he likes us very much (wanting us to go down) I would like Keane to commit to one club (and through a difficult time) for a while and become a good manager, I would not be happy for him to come here so soon after joining Ipswich and walking out of Sunderland.
CB Fry Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 This is new dawn of SFC.Maybe you should realise that we need somebody who will lead from the front and not put up with the ****e we have had in recent times. A hardline manager is what we need if we are to build a team with youngsters. Maybe you should realise that Roy Keane is not going to leave Ipswich for us in a million, billion years. They have a rich owner and want to be in the Premier League at the end of next season. Roy Keane is not going to "put up with" being a League One manager on minus ten when he could be challenging for the Prem all next season. You are an idiot for thinking otherwise.
matthewb Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 Yes i was at SMS when he scored against us for us to go down. One game does not put us down over a complete season. I hope you didnt mean the last game of the season, when Man Utd sent us down as I thought it was Fletcher and Van Nistelrooy who scored against us. I think most Saints fans hate Keane because of his antics after the game when a few of the players came back out on to the pitch to do some warm down excercises.

But he did 'warm-down' and gesture our relegation to the Saints fans who were mortified with grief. Hence anger.
Tractor_Saint Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 Roy Keane is not going to leave Ipswich for us in a million, billion years. They have a rich owner and want to be in the Premier League at the end of next season. He's in an unenviable position of being given the cash to splash and buy new players as well (is it six new signings in the last month?) and the owner is a local boy although, amazingly, no one has any pics of him so no one is really sure what he looks like. Not sure how Marcus (Evans) has managed to not have his photo taken by the press....
Smirking_Saint Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 Not to mention read his autobiography when he moans about how much of a nothing team we are and how much he ****ing hates us !!
Yate Saint Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 He was crap at Sunderland anyway. He did well getting them up but then wasted a lot of money. Should have done better with the funds he had.
Mower Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 I hope you didnt mean the last game of the season, when Man Utd sent us down as I thought it was Fletcher and Van Nistelrooy who scored against us. I think most Saints fans hate Keane because of his antics after the game when a few of the players came back out on to the pitch to do some warm down excercises. That's why I hate him....for his gestures to the Northam during his warm down exercise. From memory, he wasn't on the pitch at the final whistle. Me thinks that PDB wasn't there at all ;-)
1976_Child Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 this may be a p!ssed up comment but Boll0x to Keane. I want The Wee Ginger One From Scotland, or, The Fuzzy Haired One.

eurosaint Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 There are at least 40 other managers currently in the Prem and the Championship who I could start a thread about but they will not come to Saints (nor possibly would we want them!) so why pick out Roy Keane ???? I'm afraid (with due repect) Mr Pilsbury that the dough has gone to your head !!!
Stud mark of doom Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 he didn't even play FFS. But he did 'warm-down' and gesture our relegation to the Saints fans who were mortified with grief. Hence anger. I'm sure it goes back further than that. He got wound up good and proper and sent off early doors during the famous 6-3 result. (No doubt trying to extract revenge for the 3-1 'two shirts' defeat the previous season.) Never liked him. He was a disgrace when we went down.

Badger Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 Roy Keane is an A Grade arsehole.I would not want that b^stard anywhere near Saints.
Mase Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 This thread is probably worse than the threads about Adams...
cellone Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 Would like to see him recieve a right royal slap. He even had the steward's handed a rollicking for removing him from the pitch for his own safety. woosh'thud.
qwertySFC Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 There are at least 40 other managers currently in the Prem and the Championship who I could start a thread about but they will not come to Saints (nor possibly would we want them!) so why pick out Roy Keane ???? eelpie Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 Keane hates Southampton Would be a match made in hell, but I agree, we need someone tough like him, though our cherubs would cry and collapse from shock if he came here. Strachan though has the humour, personality and drive to make the kids want to work out and get fit to succeed, imho. He would haul Lallana and co out of the clubs and pubs too. Just what we want.
eelpie Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 Lets get tony adams! I dare you to sing that on the Northam.
1976_Child Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 I dare you to sing that on the Northam. yeah! go on... dare you. sing it in the Northam....
eurosaint Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 Was Roy seen in M&S Hedge End as well then because that is the hot bed of our manager appointments It's a long way from his house in Cheshire and also his rented place in Suffolk but maybe we should start a new thread just in case this new info has any substance !!!!!
Badger Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 Was Roy seen in M&S Hedge End as well then because that is the hot bed of our manager appointments buying prawn sandwiches perhaps ?
Tractor_Saint Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 yeah! go on... dare you. sing it in the Northam.... Best not buy a ST quite yet though..
St Chalet Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 Can we rename this thread: 'Roy Keane Nobody' please?
