Huffton Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 Can't get through to the ticket office, does anyone know if they are doing the monthly direct debit payments this year?
Toadhall Saint Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 I think it 20% upfront then the rest in installments (4) but needs to be supported with a Credit/Debit card.
JustMike Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 I think it 20% upfront then the rest in installments (4) but needs to be supported with a Credit/Debit card. how do you apply for this?
Toadhall Saint Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 how do you apply for this? They asked me if I wanted to pay that way when I called the ticket office this morning to renew.
Master Bates Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 Yes they are, you have to pay the first month in advance, even though that wasn't mentioned on the OS, as such I can't renew. C**TS! C**TS! C**TS! C**TS! C**TS! C**TS! C**TS! C**TS! C**TS! C**TS! C**TS! C**TS!
Master Bates Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 Oh, and it's brand new staff at the Ticket Office, being trained today.
krissyboy31 Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 If you pay by Barclaycard it's 0% for ST purchases, so if you have nothing else on the card you can spread payment throughout the season that way.
NickG Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 Don't take anything up front. No agreement to sign. Will take money off credit card you give them within first few days of easch month. Interest free. I did it takes seconds.

Dimond Geezer Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 I've just bought my tickets on the 0800 number. When paying by credit card, the total cost of your tickets will be spread over 5 equal instalments. The first is taken now, the 4 subsequebt payments will be taken from the same card (or different if you wish) around the 1st of each month.
Saint woody Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 Thinking of buying one for 1st time. Via installment plan how many monthy payments after deposit and if went with mates could i change my seat?
eelpie Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 I've just bought my season by phone and they did ask me if I wanted to pay in instalments, but as I didn't I don't know how the scheme works. (It took me three attempts to get through by phone and then waited about three minutes in the queue -this was at 11am)
lordswoodsaints Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 It used to be 6 months interest free instalments,I've used it a few years now so I suspect a few people will be upset at having to cough up a deposit.
Alain Perrin Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 You went via the installment plan and you didn't have to pay a deposit? An over reaction by a poster on here..... surely not.
Dimond Geezer Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 There isn't a deposit, the price is divided by 5. The first payment is now, the other 4 are monthly. I guess it won't be interest free if you don't fully pay your credit card bill. I do, so it'll be interest free for me.
The9 Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 Everyone keeps saying "credit card" for the monthly payments, do they accept Debit Cards/DDs on the phone ?
sotonjoe Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 Check out you lot and your catalogue-esque payment plans.
The9 Posted 10 July, 2009 Posted 10 July, 2009 (edited) Check out you lot and your catalogue-esque payment plans. I'd better get a free pen with my ST and a shiny brochure, or there will be stropping. I've paid a few STs up front previously, but having the prospect of forking out for Car Insurance, Holiday, Flat Deposit, MOT, Rent, Mortgage and Road Tax in a single month (with furniture to follow), I'm not gonna stump up the £288 for the ST before I have to.
