StInky Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 Did you really? No, I didn't. Apologies for the exaggeration. :smt022
Rut Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 Pardew is now 4/6 fav on SkyBet. Strachan 7/2. http://www.skybet.com/skybet?action=GoLastEvent&z=3292#market_div_12591795 Been a crazy book. I wonder how much action there has been on it. Shame Betfair didn't run one so you could see how much has been bet...
thorpie the sinner Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 lol, it has the most comical book ever!!!!!
krissyboy31 Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 lol, it has the most comical book ever!!!!! It all seems to be controlled by nothing more than rumour an innuendo. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't a rank outsider or even somebody not even listed.

I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't a rank outsider or even somebody not even listed. Then the bookies get to keep all the money that idiots have wagered on something they know sod all about.

Window Cleaner Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 do you need coaching certificates in L1? thought that was just for Prem/CCC I think you need at least UEFA B to coach any professional side.

Well I have lost track to some extent but at least 3 people have now been odds on ! WGS- short as 1/5 Adams 8/11 I think was the shortest price. Now of course Pardew. In other words it could still yet be anyone!
RedFear Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 its interesting to see the names linked with newcastle on the sky bet page id rather have our list! (adams excluded)

NickG Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 he lives here, get over it! He will go to local shops, go to local golf clubs - none of that has anything to do with what job he may or may not take!
saintwarwick Posted 16 July, 2009 Posted 16 July, 2009 he lives here, get over it! He will go to local shops, go to local golf clubs - And maybe get a local job
chrisobee Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 LOL As I thought our new manager was not even listed in the original betting on Skybet. They'll be very happy !!

jasonbenali Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 Is it too late to put a fiver on Pardew? I have this funny feeling it will be him...
chrisobee Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 Is it too late to put a fiver on Pardew? I have this funny feeling it will be him... Skybet might give you 1/100,000 if they are feeling generous. They can afford it
chrisobee Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 fair play to anyone that got big odds on Pardew!! Which is probably nobody TBH !!
Hatch Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 What were the longest odds available, I'd imagine about 33s

stanthemanfairoak Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 I had £5 @ 20/1 at the beginning of the weekwas 25/1 at the beginning of the week?
Dicko Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 (edited) was 25/1 at the beginning of the week? A pretty reliable source told me they had travelled to London to meet Pardew I wasn't 100% convinced, so I phoned Sky because he wasn't even on the list at the time They gave me 20/1 Edit: Just looked at my account - I placed the bet on Saturday at 5.30 Edited 17 July, 2009 by Dicko

Ziggy Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 And you never thought to let us all in on it so we could have cleaned up ! :smt102 If he had mentioned it he'd have got the usual personal attacks from a few of the posters on here.
chrisobee Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 If he had mentioned it he'd have got the usual personal attacks from a few of the posters on here. Not from myself, Bungle, Hatch and a few more who are always happy to receive good tips though as Bungle often says " Tips are only of use if posted BEFORE the event!"
Aardvark Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 Skybet's initial odds Strachan, G 13/8 Wise, D 4/1 Keegan, K 6/1 Boothroyd, A 10/1 Le Tissier, M 12/1 Adams, M 16/1 Shearer, A 16/1 Wright, M 20/1 Dowie, I 25/1 Bond, K 25/1 Souness, G 33/1 Hoddle, G 40/1 Redknapp, H 66/1 They are abit short I would bet that our new manager isn't even on that list Good Call!! I hope you put something on it, presumably at better than 66/1!
Dicko Posted 17 July, 2009 Posted 17 July, 2009 They take a while settling the bet don't they? I'm about to receive £105, but no sign of it yet
