Bookies odds on next Southampton manager

It all seems to be controlled by nothing more than rumour an innuendo. I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't a rank outsider or even somebody not even listed.

Then the bookies get to keep all the money that idiots have wagered on something they know sod all about.

i mean when you bet on a horse you usually know he'll actually be in the race, why MLT is quoted at 33/1 when he doesn't even have the coaching certificates necessary just could say, that's daylight robbery.

do you need coaching certificates in L1? thought that was just for Prem/CCC

Pardew is now 4/6 fav on SkyBet. Strachan 7/2.

Been a crazy book. I wonder how much action there has been on it. Shame Betfair didn't run one so you could see how much has been bet...

Well I have lost track to some extent but at least 3 people have now been odds on !

WGS- short as 1/5

Adams 8/11 I think was the shortest price.

Now of course Pardew. In other words it could still yet be anyone!

What were the longest odds available, I'd imagine about 33s

The odds posted on Wednesday had him at 25/1. Without checking back further I'm not sure when he 1st appeared in the betting but I suspect it will be on one of these many posts!

was 25/1 at the beginning of the week?

A pretty reliable source told me they had travelled to London to meet Pardew

I wasn't 100% convinced, so I phoned Sky because he wasn't even on the list at the time

They gave me 20/1

Edit: Just looked at my account - I placed the bet on Saturday at 5.30

And you never thought to let us all in on it so we could have cleaned up ! :smt102

If he had mentioned it he'd have got the usual personal attacks from a few of the posters on here.

Not from myself, Bungle, Hatch and a few more who are always happy to receive good tips though as Bungle often says " Tips are only of use if posted BEFORE the event!"

Skybet's initial odds

Strachan, G 13/8

Wise, D 4/1

Keegan, K 6/1

Adams, M 16/1

Shearer, A 16/1

Wright, M 20/1

Dowie, I 25/1

Bond, K 25/1
