I had this last season (but with a junior ticket) and basically you could phone up the ticket office and ask to upgrade it but they just said to my dad that it would be ok anyway. So he just used my ticket and the stewards didn't check the age, just what stand it was for.

No disrespect but you would hope that our new management team would put procedures in place to avoid the club being so easily ripped off. To be safe would it not be better for you to buy two adult tickets or simply pay for an upgrade as and when you need it. You and your Dad will look a bit stupid if you try to blag it and the stewards do check as a result of tighter ticket controls implemented by the management team. Sounds like the club were throwing money away last year, mind you I think you could have handed them a till receipt and got in. I hope this loophole is tightened up, if the London Underground can tackle fair dodging why can't our club.

I wouldn't be setting out to rip off my club though, I'd just rather not go to a match on my own and so that's why I asked the question in the first place. If we did buy two adult tickets just for that game could I ask to have them in the place where our 2 season ticket seats are?

To be fair I know someone who renewed online and were meant to be young adult instead of junior like last season (so paying £252), but the online system hadn't update age brackets, despite having the right DOB, and he was charged £135 instead, meaning the club shot themselves in the foot by missing out on £117. Surely you jest, you have accused him, and hundreds others of being (sic) 'fair' dodgers. I'm sure there is much mileage in allowing this situation to occur. Because without it, these people, be they young or old, will not commit to a ST IF they cannot go to EVERY game, otherwise, there becomes a point when buying a ST becomes more expensive than paying per game. It is also a commitment up front for money into the club and not a 'possible' income from walk ups on the day that may or may not come. Especially, where young adults or children are concerned, ie, our future, we should 'encourage' ST's not punish them when they can't go. And as for the elder generation that get their discount, after years of labouring and supporting this club they 'deserve' and are entitled to a discount. No disrespect? Disrespectful to the young, the young adultds and the seniors if you ask me. Let's make it easier to support Saints not harder. If someone gets a ST and goes to 90% of those games, they shouldn't be punished by having to find extra money to fill an 'empty' seat. God man, get a life! Tighter ticket controls will cost a lot more money and time than the 5 pound increase in the seat price, let alone the ticket office, the phone call made, the ticket being printed and posted out. You sir, are a jobsworth, get over it, support this 'family' club and stop moaning about people 'turning up'! Jeesh...

You sir, are a jobsworth, get over it, support this 'family' club and stop moaning about people 'turning up'! Jeesh... I take it you're not in the commerical sector as you sound like a civil servant being ever so politically correct and inefficient with the tax payers money. Are you condoning that anybody who currently buys an adult pair of ST's can buy an adult and junior or OAP and junior and save themselves a nice few quid? For every genuine situation that has been discussed here others will cotton on and try and milk the system so yes I would prefer strict ticket checks to maximise revenues as oppose to turning a blind eye to the less scrupulous who may 'play' the system. If you have ever forgotten your ST on a match day you will be aware the club is not quite so friendly and charitable in charging you in essence a fine for a genuine mistake on top of the grief of queuing and perhaps missing the start of the game. If you offer concessions its pointless if they are not policed otherwise we will have a fanbase made up solely of teenagers and OAPs! Beware of people who use phrases like 'you sir' in posts, I nearly felt the flick of your glove across my face, what a dandy you are sir.

I guess we don't need to worry about saving on postage anymore :-)Warning! Apparently there has been a bit of a mess-up within the ticket selling process. Staff where meant to have given season ticket holders the option of free Ajax tickets at the time of renewal. This did not happen in many cases. Some fans have assumed that the tickets would be included automatically but this is not the case unless specifically requested. If in doubt I would check with the ticket office. Nope, not a civil servant, and yes, am in the commercial sector. But it's not me that's being politically correct, but you that is being rather anal in your approach. Sure, some will take the p*ss, but by far the majority, have in the past and presently, shared their tickets when they couldn't go. If you couldn't, you probably would feel less inclined to go. What about the hooligan element, should we all be considered hooligans because a small minority give our game a bad name? The 'sir' part in my response was because I can;t believe that you are being serious, and that it was essentially tongue in cheek, I was obviously wrong. You're a ******! System did that for me several years ago too. At the time I was a bit strapped for cash, what with studying and only working part time, so I wasn't going to argue with it! The 1,300 newbies that have been mentioned, I assume that includes us lot who were on our "noble boycott" as GM put it t'other day, rather than us returnees being included as renewals. Would be interesting to know actually, how many are returnees - for no other reason than intrigue, before someone starts all that off again!
