Ampersound Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 I talked a mate into buying a season ticket... he is a Hibs fan but has always had a soft spot for Saints. More the merrier I say!
saints_is_the_south Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Great to see alot of new buyers for ST's, hopefully with them + renewals we'll go past double figures. 12 or 13k would be awesome, almost sure to be getting near on 20k crowds with that amount of ST holders. With no debts to service & 20k gates we'd be in a very good position even without Mr Liebherr's money.
Joesaint Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Ugly inside have said about 1 in 4 season tickets are new customers! Thats got to be great for saints.
Guest Dark Sotonic Mills Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 main grandstand, row ee, seat 10. spent most of the day eating a selection of different pork pies. Insufficient data, I'm afraid. What were the makes of the said pies, and what were your thoughts on them? Which was the best? Which had the better seasoning? Come on... (I was going to ask you for your impression of the pies, but I realised it's really, really hard to do an impression of a pork pie. A tub of lard, that's different. Many people I know can do an impression of a tub of lard.)
fish fingers Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Insufficient data, I'm afraid. What were the makes of the said pies, and what were your thoughts on them? Which was the best? A tub of lard, that's different. Many people I know can do an impression of a tub of lard.) Apologies for my brief comments previously. It was a Tesco Pork Pie selection, totalling six individual pies. 2X Cheese crust, 2X pork and pickle and 2x melton mowbray. The cheese crust was a complete let down, it was essentially a basic pork pie with what can only be described as a sprinkle of cheese powder on the top. It added nothing to the taste. 2/10 it gained 2 marks purely as it was still a pork pie and therefore deserved points. The pork and pickle was excellent, the pickle really added something to pie. A cavalcade of tastes. Most welcome and would be enjoyed again. 8/10 The Melton Mowbray was exactly what you would expect. A good solid all-rounder. 7/10
saints_is_the_south Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Anybody received their ST's in the post today btw?
Tractor_Saint Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Anybody received their ST's in the post today btw? Nope - keep hitting F5 on the letterbox but nothing. Grrrr
saints_is_the_south Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Nope - keep hitting F5 on the letterbox but nothing. Grrrr Lol. When did you renew/buy yours?
Tractor_Saint Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Lol. When did you renew/buy yours? Ordered at 9:30AM Friday via phone. @ St David - did you receive yours through the post or buy them in person?
saints_is_the_south Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Ordered at 9:30AM Friday via phone. Same as me then. Not home yet but won't be expecting anything in the post when i do get back, then hopefully to my surprise it will have arrived!
Dr Octopus Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Anybody received their ST's in the post today btw? I renewed by phone on friday. No ST yet but got Ajax ticket through letterbox today.
Nexstar Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 I expect mine to be here tomorrow (ordered online on saturday), usually take 1 or 2 days to come.
Michelle Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 I had fully expected to pay more for my ST because I missed last year, but was able to quote my number from the previous 15+ years and was sold my old seat (almost one out) at the same "renewal" price as every one else. We also didn't have ST's last year, quoted our customer numbers from the previous x number of seasons, and were charged as a new holder, not a renewal. Would've loved the renewal price, but as returning season ticket holders, not renewing ones, we quite rightly got charged the full whack. You got lucky!
brianoneils slidingtackle Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Got the Ajax ticket, but no season ticket !!!
Michelle Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 Got the Ajax ticket, but no season ticket !!! Don't panic! With Ajax being three days away, and the start of the season being three weeks away, you can imagine where their priorities are lying atm!
beatlesaint Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 I renewed by phone on friday. No ST yet but got Ajax ticket through letterbox today. + 1
saints_is_the_south Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 No Ajax ticket or ST in the post, got my Carlisle train tickets tho!
The Rover Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 I got this reply by email from David Luker today to a query I sent to Andy Oldknow before the prices were released: Hopefully you have now seen the pricing structure and are happy with what we have produced. We have tried to keep pricing attractive to both new and renewing season ticket holders, and having over 1000 new season ticket holders in the first 5,500 sold hopefully underlines that we may have got this right. The corners will certainly be opened if demand dictates this, but we still want to keep an eye on operational costs in the interim I rushed down to get a good seat on Friday morning.
Guest Dark Sotonic Mills Posted 14 July, 2009 Posted 14 July, 2009 I renewed mine on the phone on Friday. I got a text from the Ticket Office this morning saying that mine had just been printed and would be in the post tonight. They also told me that my Ajax ticket had been sent yesterday.

ssaints Posted 15 July, 2009 Posted 15 July, 2009 Just spoke to the ticket office only 8,000 tickets left for the Ajax game. This maybe due to the free ticket offer but even still this is heading for a near capacity for Marcus's first game. COYR

SaintBobby Posted 15 July, 2009 Posted 15 July, 2009 I renewed 3 x season tickets on Monday and they arrived (in London) today. V impressed with the quick turn around. Will be close to a sell out for Ajax? I imagine so if we have an exciting managerial announcement before Saturday....

Considering the results pre season and lack of manager I doubt we will get more than 12-15k.I do hope Im wrong though On official site it says it had already printed 15,000 tickets yesterday (which I think includes 4,000 given to local kids football teams in Chapel) http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1721970,00.html so I think at least 20,000 will be there

Um Bongo Posted 15 July, 2009 Posted 15 July, 2009 Just ordered mine, said to myself last season i wouldn't, but I just felt compelled to waste another £250 for this season. Here's hoping we win some games.

So there will be more than I expected, still wont be a sell out but will give the new man a good welcome.
brianoneils slidingtackle Posted 15 July, 2009 Posted 15 July, 2009 Season ticket arrived this morning, would of preferred going back to the swipe card type of entry, but really just glad we still have a club at all to watch. :-)
RonManager Posted 15 July, 2009 Posted 15 July, 2009 Ajax ticket arrived in post today (envelope creased with a boot print on it!) but no season ticket yet.
