Wes Tender Posted 13 July, 2009 Share Posted 13 July, 2009 Got mine this morning, as a man of my word promising to renew the minute that Lowe was gone. Business at the ticket booths is brisk, with several dozen people queuing there at 10am. Looking at the screen to choose a seat in the Northam, it looked as if there wasn't that much available in that stand.

LeBenali Posted 13 July, 2009 Share Posted 13 July, 2009 Anybody wondering what constitutes a 'young adult' or what student ticket offers are available - I emailed David Luker earlier, and a young adult is 17-21 years old.

Rather ****es on NCs and GMs parade as they were spouting off how people like us would find reason not to go and how Lowe was just an excuse. While I was queuing I spoke to others who had been in the same position and who knew others themselves who had renewed after boycotting last season. One lady told of her circle of friends where she was the only one left with a ST out of 7 who had formerly attended regularly. Seems as if many are returning to the fold. saints_is_the_south Posted 13 July, 2009 Share Posted 13 July, 2009 Correct - no booking fee for paying by credit card for your STs BTW Anyone received their ST though the post yet? Was one of the first to buy one via the phone on Friday but, alas, Mr Postie just shoved loads of junk mail through the door this morning. I too renewed mine on Friday, nothing in the post today. Emailed Luker earlier & he told me they were starting to send ST's out today & tomorrow.

Rather ****es on NCs and GMs parade as they were spouting off how people like us would find reason not to go and how Lowe was just an excuse. C'mon guys. Can't you just be positive that there is enthusiasm in the fan base again without having digs at people with views, just as passionate as your own, just different? I am sure there are genuine boycotters and people who used it as a convenient excuse. Who cares. RedWillie Posted 13 July, 2009 Share Posted 13 July, 2009 I am waiting to see who the manager is. If it is someone I think will make an impact I will get my first ever season ticket after 35 years of going (and even one for my daughter as well ) . If they are not then I won't. Simple as that. I am sure there are genuine boycotters and people who used it as a convenient excuse. Who cares. There's a genuine chance we can be one Saints again (save disagreements as to whether Telfer is crap or not!) Who's not positive? View from the top was quite right to remind us that GM and 19 Canteen in particular were quite abusive to many fans who did not renew their STs last season on a matter of principle, accusing them of being fair weather fans using Lowe as an excuse not to go. Those same people do perhaps fall into two groups. Those who genuinely did it on principle can feel quiet satisfaction when they renew that they played their part in bringing about the regime change that has brought us the wealthiest owner in our history and bright prospects ahead. Those who just used it as an excuse not to attend, might well be pursuaded to change their minds because of the exciting developments also brought about by the fall in revenue when they absented themselves. But either way, it is feasible that had both groups continued attending, the extra revenue might have kept the previous regime in place and we would certainly have still been relegated and had to endure the next season as the paupers of the division heading towards the trapdoor to the fourth division. So whilst being positive, let's also be thankful for what's come about and spare a few moments to consider what might otherwise have come to pass. Neil Posted 13 July, 2009 Share Posted 13 July, 2009 Got mine during the Ashes lunch break on Friday, great to hear people whining about the queues during their lunch hour, never thought I'd hear that again! I decided that if I didn't get one there might be the odd game I would end up not going to, despite my enthusiasm for the Brave New World, so decided to bite the bullet and get an ST. Looking forward to Ajax now!

Business at the ticket booths is brisk, with several dozen people queuing there at 10am. Looking at the screen to choose a seat in the Northam, it looked as if there wasn't that much available in that stand. After the passing of Lowe and a new sense of belief around the club, how could I not be there first thing on Saturday morning, with my father, purchasing 2 ST's for next season. Like I said, I won't be going whilst Lowe is in charge, he's not so I am. Wave to you all this season! And for those Lowe whingers that went last year and moaned all season, watch out, I can give my breakdown on the tactics and the decisions made that influence the game, I know you've all missed them! Isn't it sweet to be returning to this bright new future knowing that finally we are rid of those charlatans? Thanks Wes, also, think it's also worth pointing out why I didn't go last season. Because, with Lowe in charge, we would end up with poor management selection, playing the kids, we'd win a few but then lose confidence, resulting in relegation and admin. AND, even though that was my belief, I still got stick on here when I said that I actually wanted Saints to win under Lowe and for us to get promoted, it was just that I didn't believe it was possible, I still hoped we'd survive. At the end of the day, I didn't put us in admin, as many of the pro-lowes insisted, I wouldn't be missed and then all the other expletives that generally followed. I said I would support us in League 1 and that's not why I stopped going, I want us to win every game and will always be disappointed when we lose, that's because I am a fan, and now with my season ticket in my pocket, even GM has to call me a fan again! And there's your silver lining! lol

Scoobysaint Posted 14 July, 2009 Share Posted 14 July, 2009 Off to get my season ticket this afternoon. And there's your silver lining! lol I have also returned after the evil one has left us. I had fully expected to pay more for my ST because I missed last year, but was able to quote my number from the previous 15+ years and was sold my old seat (almost one out) at the same "renewal" price as every one else. They also gave me a free ticket for the Ajax game. As the Chapel end is "reserved" for something that day I choose a ticket as near as possible to Markus for that game to say "thanks". (sorry to the ST holder that has now lost his seat for that game). rejoice, rejoice, rejoice we are now lowe free (prehaps "john lowe" will leave this messageboard now). oldsarum Posted 14 July, 2009 Share Posted 14 July, 2009 I think it will be after end of July .... (the expiry date for ST renewals ???? ) You can change seats now if you want to, I have already done so. The only limitations are that the seat you move to wasn't occupied by a season ticket holder last season or hasn't already been taken by a new season ticket holder. After July 31st you can move to any seat not held by a season ticket holder for 2009/10 season

My mate used to have some bloke who stood behind him, who constantly spat when singing and talking, straight on to the back of my mate's neck. Nice. Although he didn't move seats, he just put up with it until the next season when he moved stands altogether. I am hoping, praying, I am surrounded by nice people...
