Yeah, but he is a rich and successful chuffing yokel idiot.

successful? he might have got lucky in his original field of interest but he hasn't got a clue when it comes to football.

Leon Crouch unlike any other Director put his money where is mouth was. He will always find a warm welcome at SMS unlike Lowe, Askham, Wilde, etc etc who I doubt will want to show their ugly faces down Brittania Road.

Good luck to you Leon.

AND paided a hundred thousand or so for the replacement Ted Bates statue from his own pocket. Better, but not as funny as it's predecessor! (bit like Saintsweb!)

pretty lucky. Still, what's that got to do with anything? It doesn't take a criminal to know that murder is wrong.

Just because its fun pointing out whre your wrong ;)

He offered to pay or the re-do of Ted Bates Statue by way of loaning the club the money to get it done. The check was written and with the club but it was never cashed. I think it came out that it was a loan so the club just paid it themselves.

As for him losing some money,

In some ways he can blame no-one other than himself, He backed the Pinnacle bid which to be fair, fooled more than just Crouch but they took the 21 days exclusivity aways from our eventual owners. Had they had the 21 days they could have completed before the wages needed to be paid and there for saved Crouch the 21 day 500k and saved him the months wages if both of those are true. The chances are they were not donations anyway and he is now one of the creditors that the club owes so will get a good portion of that money back.

If he has lost it then im not bothered either and dont give him special treatment. Only thing that should be said is while the other 2 skulked off he stuck around to deal with the problems he was a part of creating. The other 2 should have done the same IMO.
