saint peach Posted 9 July, 2009 Posted 9 July, 2009 Whoever the manager is, make sure a Saints scout heads down to Cannes this weekend, please. It's the FIFPro tournament - a competition that offers out-of-contract professional footballers the opportunity to put themselves in the shop window. In previous years there have been some real gems and, looking at this year's list, it could be a great call... http://tournament.fifpro.org/index.php?mod=pcat&sess=l37915707
suewhistle Posted 9 July, 2009 Posted 9 July, 2009 At least 6 of the Swiss team have Georgian names, how odd!

matthieu Posted 9 July, 2009 Posted 9 July, 2009 we should sign the number 5 in the dutch team simply for his name... Lion Axwijk (Left back) coming to strange names, Atlante (Mexican team) have an attacking midfielder called Hobbit Bermudez

spank_182 Posted 9 July, 2009 Posted 9 July, 2009 Kiki Musampa is playing, but a bit above League One i'm afraid (although must be getting on a bit)
saintbletch Posted 9 July, 2009 Posted 9 July, 2009 Kiki Musampa is playing, but a bit above League One i'm afraid (although must be getting on a bit) Best nickname in football in my opinion...Chris.
saint peach Posted 9 July, 2009 Author Posted 9 July, 2009 Kiki Musampa is playing, but a bit above League One i'm afraid (although must be getting on a bit) I am pretty sure that Kiki would jump at the chance to sign for us. The lad almost headed to Wrexham last season, which would suggest that he is 'open to offers.' If he's fit enough I'd like to see us sign him. Another player in the Dutch side I'd like us to sign is goalkeeper Roy Oukerwerk. This time last year he was in goal for Ajax against Inter Milan. He's young and would provide good back-up to King Kelv. He'd also be better than Bart, Weather and Poke.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 9 July, 2009 Posted 9 July, 2009 Best nickname in football in my opinion...Chris. The best nickname in football was 'One Size', given to Fitz Hall.

Ludwig Posted 9 July, 2009 Posted 9 July, 2009 Wooter would be good. Was alright for Watford back in the day. Except he's 9 years or so older now.
