Kasey Wehrman: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kasey_Wehrman (not offered new contract)

There's a name from the past. I've often wondered what became of him, as he really impressed me playing for Perth Glory, must be six seven years ago. I recall him hitting a ball

45, 50 yards and putting so much back spin on it that it stopped deada couple of yards in from dead ball line. The opposing back turned and cantered back as he thought it was clearly going out of play, but the Perth winger sprinted after it and scored an easy goal. I read that he'd been perfecting it at training and I for one was very impressed with his skills. Didn't seem to go on with it after leaving Australia.

who would do the running around if we had Rasiak and John upfront

I think young Mills will do a runner to S****horpe - we shouldn't have let him get out of cotract

Prutton wants to return to the South Coast apparently - as does Baird by all accounts!

Rumour has it Matt Oakley would like to come back down south, what a signing that would be.

Yes please! ex player or not he did a great job for leicester last season and seems to now know where the back of the net is too.

I don't think we need to be signing players who are clearly past it, so that rules out Savage, and especially Duberry, and who in their right mind would sign Bridges, who plays about 3 games a decade and hasn't done anything ANYWHERE since 2001 ? We may as well sign David Hirst again... or Geoff Hurst for that matter. You can stick Prutton on that list, and Oakley's another year on, though he did well last season in the same league.

I'd like to see us sign someone like Gavin Mahon from Watford. I'm not quite sure why though, but he's like a Wotton who can pass.

Oh, also, I heard Lloyd James had a six month extension to his contract...

Saw Bridges mentioned - would only have him on pay as you play. Stern John would be much preferable. Shame Douglas has gone to Swindon, would have been a useful CM with bite. Prutton is no way past it - still only 27/28 and was voted best player at this level season before last. Whoever said Ricky Lambert needs a gold star - Huddersfield won't pay £1m for a 27 year old but we want to get out of this league within 2 seasons and anyway, Jason Scotland was even older when Swansea bought him and he's just gone to Wigan for £2m at the age of 30.

Reckon we need a decent left-back as first priority and should try and keep Mills, if only for backup.

Murty at right-back would no doubt be OK, but like another poster's idea of Ifil from Colchester.

Getting Size back would be good, although the defence has rather an old and slow look about it. Maybe Lancashire will improve this season, or that Racine kid.

Would like to see Lloyd James get a go in midfield. Wright-Phillips and Holmes on the wings, with Lallana 'in the hole' and John upfront. If we can keep all of them, I reckon that would cause problems for a lot of Div1 defences. And that still leaves Rasiak as sub, along with up and coming players like McLaggon, Gobern, Thomson, Paterson and White. Euell can still be useful for us as well. Assume Saga will be off though.

Juan Pablo Angel from New York Red Bulls, the ex Aston Villa striker! Would do a fantastic job in this league for us and still got a couple of years in him I think, can't be much older than 30/31.

Baird I would welcome back, Bennett I aint too sure on, JPS would be a great signing after the job he did for us last season! For a LB I'd like to see Insua from Liverpool on loan, would do a fantastic job for us!

Last thing we need are players that think that now we have a rich backer they can get big money while playing sub-standard football. We need players that want to be here and that will add something to our club. Had enough of players putting their hands out while not putting in.

Nigel Quashie?

Need him in midfield IMO...

that's strange - exactly what I said to a mate last week.

I would look at the old Shankley method of getting the backbone right. GK (KD is OK for now) , Centre Half (try and attempt some-one like Morgan from Sheff U), cente midfield - someone like Quashie, centre forward........

off subject - but can't be bothered with new thread - I notice ticket prices for Millwall fans - reckon we might see a few under 12s that are already shaving! Same price for adult + under 12, as for one adult

The main thing in this league is a massive centre back, massive centre midfielder and a massive striker.

Perry and lancashire would get bullied in this league...Thomas would be ok but only if he can stay fit.

I say a punt at Vincent Paricard would be good. would run all day and hustle L1 defences and force them into errors. Then someone with him you can finish in-front of goal!

Just wanna know who the new manager is first...reports today say Shearer is interested but not sure he'll come here!!
