.after the last 100 days trauma, it's nice to look back and see who has distinguished themselves in the loyalty stakes.

First has to be Mark Wotte. He has shown both loyalty and diplomacy in his behaviour concerning club matters without ever knowing who he was responsible to, or who his next boss would be. He will doubtless be criticised next season for bad results, but for the last 3 months. Well done MW.

Next Kelvin Davis. The club has yet to confirm stories that he has re-signed, but - if so - well done KD. Someone else who took a lot of stick from sections of the fan base in his early days, but has become a fans favourite. In turning down a cushy number as reserve keeper for a Prem. side, he has put club loyalty before his bank balance. Nice one Kev.

Hopefully, too. Matt Le Tissier. There aren't enough pages to praise Mattie's contribution to SFC, not to mention the pleasure of seeing some of the best goals ever scored by a Saints player. His support for Pinnacle was done in the right spirit and made long before Herr Liebherrs takeover bid was known about. MLT should not be punished for his faith in the club, and if as hinted by Andy Oldknow, there is a role for him in the new organisation - well done I say, he deserves some acknowledgment for buying his Titanic ticket in April when some others were already sat in the lifeboats.

Anyone with other candidates for loyalty recognition.?

Leon Crouch for trying to keep the club going

Leon Crouch for trying to keep the club going

Sadly some people just won't have the good grace to say that.

Hopefully Leon will have some role on the board but nothing more than that so he can just enjoy being a fan again. New start an' all....

How about the fans who've stuck by this club through thick and thin (mostly thin) and have put up with more than their fair share of misery and disappointment over the last 4 years I'd say - remember without us there is no club .

Well I did but I am not a Leon fan in the least but he has shown loyalty and determination in keeping the club going .

Although I have been critical of Mr Wilde because of his mismangement of the finances but his stance that the only way forward was to get rid of Lowe and to get in investment has proved to be correct

I know, and that's why I highlighted your post...

The two people most guilty of screwing this club are Lowe and Wilde. Crouch did **** up but he more than redeemed himself by keeping the club afloat whilst the other two skulked away and hid....

Anyway, I digress, it's ridiculous for me to slag either of these three off when the future is so bright. Goodbye bickering boardrooms, goodbye splintered fanbases...

You have singled out one paid employee, what about all the other employees, their future's were unsure, their pay dates mucked about and they stuck around.

MW wil benefit from sticking around, he get's the managers job and if he doesn't he gets a nice pay off. If he left do you think ML would have got him back to manage, no he gets it because he stuck around. He knows where he is better off. As for the dignity, he has learnt not to shout his mouth off.

I won't campaign againts MW, but I will be happy when he is no longer part of our club.

Hello Marcus...

OK I will be the first to admit i have been critical of Crouch for what IMHO have been errors of judgement - BUt certainly done with the right reasons, and also for his big gob at time when he should have taken better counsel...BUT I will also give praise where its due to him for his contributions that have had a Very practicaol impact on staving off worse fianancial melt down - myy only point though would be be do we know for 100% certainty what he contributed? Did anyone ever get the truth on the Pinnacle deposit?

Mark Wotte - carriage clock, dutch oven, and P45;

Kelvin Davies - gold medal and pay freeze with add ons;

MLT - Mid-lifetime Achievement award, gold plated golf clubs, and statue;

Leon Crouch - Ceramic Dusty bin, and free Corporate Box for life.

On the subject of loyalty, I would also like to officially start the 'Bring Back Woggy Taylor' campaign, with Woggy as a beacon of all that was best in our past as we enter this refreshing new dawn...

I dont get this loyalty bit for Wotte. Sorry but, he SAYS he turned down a job in Egypt (not known what) that he originally went for as his pride wouldnt let him prepare a team for someone else. Hardly dedicated to Saints.

I suppose when you're not really in that much demand you have no choice but to try and stay where you are. Loyalty? or personal necessity?

Sounds like KD is off to West 'Am. SSN 10 mins ago.

Solent said he had signed a three year contract on the 08.20 sports report this morning.

Tony Lynam for trying his best to save the club...

I think Pinnacle deserve some credit for putting the fight to the football league over the points deduction and if some are to believed saving us from a further deduction.
