red&white56 Posted 10 July, 2009 Share Posted 10 July, 2009 There should be a 'Don't care / Not bothered' option. But... I voted yes. It's another income stream and it gives fans something to buy into even if they can't afford or justify a season ticket. You're right - I can't commit to a season ticket but I want somehow to show my loyalty to the club and to be recognised by the club as a loyal fan - membership achieves this imo
StInky Posted 10 July, 2009 Share Posted 10 July, 2009 Memberships raise vital cash to help run the club, we can't expect our new sugar daddy to pay for everything so its a good way to ' do our bit '. I can't get to enough games to make it worth buying a season ticket and memberships give me the ability to buy tickets online. Also, who says we won't get full houses ? A good cup run or play offs and those memberships could be vital to get tickets. Finally, my membership says something about me, it gives me allegiance to my club, my vote is a resounding yes +
thesaint sfc Posted 10 July, 2009 Share Posted 10 July, 2009 Whenever I buy a membership I think, hmm. I better go to a couple of games this season otherwise its a waste of £10. Thus, yes they should.
allsaintsnocurves Posted 14 July, 2009 Share Posted 14 July, 2009 The membership gets you into the Dell ball at the stadium as well and discounts in the shop. I think they could easily extend this maybe to include membership to the Saints TV. Or they could set up a special Saints membership forum, where members can be consulted for various things at the club. Season Ticket holders should get membership included. Which hasn't been the case before.
sotonjoe Posted 18 July, 2009 Share Posted 18 July, 2009 Not without offering a huge range of additional benefits, but why bother when there's no physcial need for them?
Ash Posted 18 July, 2009 Share Posted 18 July, 2009 Not without offering a huge range of additional benefits, but why bother when there's no physcial need for them? There is no physical need for face cream and all that ********, so why do boots sell it?
Justin Posted 18 July, 2009 Share Posted 18 July, 2009 i would love to get a membership as work commitments keep me from getting a season ticket, this way i feel i am helping the club and showing my support and also i can get a ticket when i can! RonManager Posted 18 July, 2009 Share Posted 18 July, 2009 How is face cream like membership to a football club? I think it's an analogy - obscure - but an analogy nonetheless
Ash Posted 19 July, 2009 Share Posted 19 July, 2009 How is face cream like membership to a football club? It isn't. My point was if people want to buy something and you can make some money selling it to them, why worry yourself about whether or not the consumer 'needs' them? Thedelldays Posted 19 July, 2009 Share Posted 19 July, 2009 no need in league 1...tickets wont be a problem and when you buy you can be added to the "database".
NickG Posted 19 July, 2009 Share Posted 19 July, 2009 ticket database is the fairest way to allocate tickets for any future game when they maybe in short supply - playoffs, away games or cup final!
