saint_bert Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 Can't wait for this. Are we planning on taking over a weatherspoons like we did at Watford?
bungle Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 Can't wait for this. Are we planning on taking over a weatherspoons like we did at Watford? No. Wetherspoons are a load of cr*p. I shall be frequenting a real pub.
saint_stevo Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 i'll be in swindon bout 2ish. Which is gonna be the pub of choice then?
Nexstar Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 How close is the ground to the station? A 30 second look on Google tells me it is 0.7 miles away.
Northant Saint Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 I rang the ticket office this morning and they said the game was sold out. Will they give us some more? Does anyone know anything? Thanks.
Michelle Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 No. Wetherspoons are a load of cr*p. I shall be frequenting a real pub. So that's why you had breakfast in one on Saturday then...
Arizona Posted 10 August, 2009 Posted 10 August, 2009 I rang the ticket office this morning and they said the game was sold out. Will they give us some more? Does anyone know anything? Thanks. I bought a ticket from the office at about 2pm, so they had a few left then.
bungle Posted 11 August, 2009 Posted 11 August, 2009 So that's why you had breakfast in one on Saturday then... They serve a purpose at 9am when they are the only establishment open.
scott_saints Posted 11 August, 2009 Posted 11 August, 2009 2 hours to get there. 2 and a half to get back (on train). Changes at Reading and Basingstoke. There is a cross country but for double the price and to save 20 minutes?? Lots of crates to be consumed on the train methinks :)
saint_stevo Posted 11 August, 2009 Posted 11 August, 2009 4 spare seats for journey there, leaving from Eastleigh at 1:30 £5 per seat Return Journey 11:30am morning after to Eastleigh £5 per seat PM for details
Chez Posted 11 August, 2009 Posted 11 August, 2009 I rang the ticket office this morning and they said the game was sold out. Will they give us some more? Does anyone know anything? Thanks. just bought 2 (Tuesday 11th) online for behind the goal for £16 each. Hope it doesn't rain.

I rang the ticket office this morning and they said the game was sold out. Will they give us some more? Does anyone know anything? Thanks. Bought an extra ticket this morning was told then they had onlty approx 120 tickets left of 1735 tickets they've recived so far. According to Kelly in the ticket office, dependant on demand tonight they may ask for a further allocation
saints_is_the_south Posted 11 August, 2009 Posted 11 August, 2009 Bought an extra ticket this morning was told then they had onlty approx 120 tickets left of 1735 tickets they've recived so far. According to Kelly in the ticket office, dependant on demand tonight they may ask for a further allocation I was under the impression that they were definatly going to ask for more tickets once these had sold, not on the demand tonight! I've got mine already but hopefully they do ask for more so we can get 2k + up there next Tuesday.
scott_saints Posted 11 August, 2009 Posted 11 August, 2009 More than 2k would be awesome for a Tuesday night!
Mouldy Coat Posted 11 August, 2009 Posted 11 August, 2009 I think we will definitely have more than 2000 at Swindon if we ask for more tickets. I would expect us to be able to sell another 400 - 500 now there is a buzz around new signings and it's not far to go.
stevegrant Posted 11 August, 2009 Posted 11 August, 2009 They didn't have any left this evening when I tried to swap my main stand ticket for a Stratton End ticket - they're expecting more to arrive tomorrow.
Mouldy Coat Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 does anyone know how many extra we will be getting?
saints_is_the_south Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 Mr Luker has just informed another 500 are on the way, should get them today.
Nexstar Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 Nice, looks like we could have about 2,200 up there!
RedAndWhite91 Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 What is the process of booking on the phone? Do I have to give them card details and they send it in the post? Or do they reserve them and you pick them up? What happens? Cheers.
saint_bert Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 What pub will we be taking over? Gotta be a spoons!! that Watford game was brilliant. I know BUngle isn't a fan tho!

RedAndWhite91 Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 If you book on phone hey take card details and send them to you in the post Thanks, how long does it usually take?
oldsarum Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 Thanks, how long does it usually take? two days at most
scott_saints Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 Gotta be a spoons!! that Watford game was brilliant. I know BUngle isn't a fan tho! Doesn't bother me. I'll go where the most red and white go!
tombletomble Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 Is there anyone heading to this match from Bristol? I would really like to go but can't pursuade any of my mates to come along. I would rather not spend the evening onmy own.
RedAndWhite91 Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 Is there anyone heading to this match from Bristol? I would really like to go but can't pursuade any of my mates to come along. I would rather not spend the evening onmy own. You won't be, there'll be over 2000 other Saints fans there
Mouldy Coat Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 are there more available if and when we sell the other 500?
Block 5 Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 I'd better get my sh1t together and get my tickets sorted for this one!!!!
Hemel Saint Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 Need to sort my ticket out too! ...and Bungle, for someone who hates Wetherspoons.... what about Swansea away fella? oh and Watford away??? oh and.....
Neil Posted 12 August, 2009 Posted 12 August, 2009 Surely we can sell out the Stratton Bank, as well as that section in the side stand can't we? Local pride at stake here. Would imagine a fair few fans still to get tickets at the last minute. Damn good value at £16 and just up the road...
saints_is_the_south Posted 13 August, 2009 Posted 13 August, 2009 will they turn drunks away? Hope not otherwise me + 2 others won't be getting in!
Appy Posted 13 August, 2009 Posted 13 August, 2009 Hope not otherwise me + 2 others won't be getting in! Seconded.
Block 5 Posted 13 August, 2009 Posted 13 August, 2009 Still tickets left... bought mine today. 4 of us driving up.
The Fat Controller Posted 13 August, 2009 Posted 13 August, 2009 i think that the old bill will send us to the Merlin pub 10 mins walk to the ground
Hemel Saint Posted 14 August, 2009 Posted 14 August, 2009 i think that the old bill will send us to the Merlin pub 10 mins walk to the ground THE BULLDOG Queens Drive Walcot Swindon SN3 1AS Well this pub seems to think its the away-designated pub. from their web-site... "Visiting Football supporters welcome This is a designated away football supporters venue, approved by the local Police" here is the link http://www.bulldogswindon.co.uk/
Hemel Saint Posted 14 August, 2009 Posted 14 August, 2009 Just seen this brilliant Pub Guide to SWINDON TOWN from a Southend fan... http://www.southendunited-mad.co.uk/news/loadfeat.asp?cid=EDW8&id=438072 Steam Railway looks a good option. 9 real Ales, large screen TVs and pool.... Steam Railway 14 Newport St. SN1 3DX Telephone 01793 538048
oldsarum Posted 14 August, 2009 Posted 14 August, 2009 Further 500 tickets just been requested bring allocation up to 2700, should be at least 2500 up there now as nearly 2200 already sold
saints_is_the_south Posted 14 August, 2009 Posted 14 August, 2009 (edited) Nice but why don't we just ask for the full allocation (2,100 behind the goal) now instead of wasting time with blocks of 500? If we get a win on Saturday then you can bet there will be big demand on Monday for more Swindon tickets but the club won't have the time to get anymore with it being all ticket so no ticket sales on Tuesday i assume. EDIT Just spoken to David Luker who confirmed about the extra 500 bringing the total allocation to 2700. I asked him why the club hadn't asked for the full allocation of 3,300 & he said that Swindon are only letting them have set allocations at a time. Edited 14 August, 2009 by saints_is_the_south
Dan Posted 14 August, 2009 Posted 14 August, 2009 I am getting my ticket Monday if there are any left.
marc_saint Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 Im going to my local. But thats 4 miles from the ground!
red and white saint Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 Only decided last night i was going to go but tried to buy online this morning and its sold out just hoping Mr Luker asks for more tickets but i doubt it as the game is only 3 days away
Yate Saint Posted 15 August, 2009 Posted 15 August, 2009 Anyone got their tickets yet? I ordered mine on Wednesday night and still not recieved them! Post has been today already. I know I got untill Tuesday but its cutting it a bit fine.
