I was just thinking to myself that Pompeys behaviour over the last 10 years and this thread in particular would make a great film documentary. So come on guys, what's the title gonna be?

How about:

From the Prem to the Pritstick.

Or

Godfather parts 4,5 and 6.

Or

From FA Cup to p1ssless pot

The Shredder 2

I'm amazed theres still 1500 people employed there!

I was made redundant in 1982 after i finished my apprenticeship because there wasnt enough work and the shipbuilding industry was in decline, I was led to believe the place was in moth balls with just a skeleton crew carrying out maintenance.

Oh well its a sh*t hole anyway. When i worked there I was one of only 2 saints fans in the whole place, great fun winding them f*ckers up all day.

I look forward to the day when I can at last say they have not got away with it. Tonight I think we are as close to waving them goodbye as they were when that female judge gave them a reprieve.

I have tempted fate and now the worlds richest man will by chance read about their plight and bale them out!

The HMRC must act again, I would have thought some of them would have a score to settle after last time, dont rely on the FL thye will do whatever to keep the integrity of their league Lol.

Back to the movie names....

The Borrowers - a story of liitle people, with little brains, who borrow things.

Another 48 hours - Admin Andy stars in this tense thriller that keeps you hanging on, and on, and on....

Dirty Harry - Redknapp's back to tear up the rule book.

For a few dollars more - A must see movie, you must see it before it disappears forever.

One flew over the cloud cuckoo's nest - If you thought the original was based in a mental hospital, wait until you see the sequel.

Honey I Maimed the Kids.

Four Administrations and a Liquidation.

In other news, I can now see the way forward for the few....

option A

Continue to defend and finance the crooks that have been raping the club and the community in the name of PFC for the best part of a decade.

option B

Accept that the club is a dirty and tainted animal that needs shooting and launch a new honest community club.

Take 3K fans to non-league grounds, sign players on sensible contracts who want to play for the shirt, win some, lose some, give a few little teams a hammering, and have a great time watching proper football as you make your way up the league pyramid.

Surely it has to be the latter?

The current club is finished, it has to be - even if AA physically drags it into March the pompey brand is sport's answer to an audience with Barrymore and Glitter.

I don't recognise the last cup win, I don't even accept their current league position now as it's been obtained through breaking FL rules, someone has to get some tongs and a rusty needle - just lance this festering wart on the genitals of the game.

I would welcome proper local rivals who want to play on a level playing field.

Big respect to anyone with the drive to launch a new clean club.

So bring on PFC2012.

So they still have a rabbit.

Right now they say they owe CSI nothing (to avoid a points penalty for unfair advantage when they don't pay it back)

But IF they elect for or Chinny or AA puts them into admin, what is the betting that the 10.8mil once again rer-appears.

Add Football Creditors (well at least any players wages) to the 10.8 and HMRC are outvoted AGAIN on a CVA

I don't think it could work that way. Remember that the winding-up petition changes everything. With that served, they can only be put into administration by a secured creditor. So, if CSI/Chainrai/Andronikou (all pretty much interchangeable) put them into administration, they are in effect admitting the debt. And, if this does happen, forget that £10.8M when it comes to the CVA - it'll be secured debt, so can't be used to outvote HMRC (they vote with other unsecured creditors).

That, at least, is my understanding. I think that the arrest of Antonov has holed all of Chainrai's plans well below the waterline; the charge he took out over CSI was an act of desperation as he saw his money disappearing. Unfortunately for him, it hasn't had the effect he'd have wanted, as no buyer will be showing up for either Pompey or CSI. He does still own Fratton Park though...

Nick, you're like the canary in the coal mine. If you say they won't get away with it this time they are truly screwed.

I just think that they will come out of this. God I hope I am wrong, but just can't see them getting a points deduction or any form of punishment. And I do think that either someone will come in and buy them or Chinny will keep them afloat.

Then you and I differ. Given what is out in the public domain about their inability to pay the HMRC and inability to survive without funding from the parent company, I simply cannot see any way that the FL can just sweep it under the carpet this time.

Having viewed the inhabitants of Portsmouth on December 18th from the top deck of a double decker bus and having read the most recent offering from pfc 123, it surely has to be

Shameless

AFC Shameless in the minor leagues would be the totally appropriate name and the right destination!

I'm sure we went through the film titles a few hundred pages ago (as well as some padding).

Panda's scenario makes most sense to me but will Chainrai get lucky with finding another owner which reminds me of Clint Eastwoods character Dirty Harry... Which reminds me of a certain court case starting tomorrow!

I can't see how they are going to get out of this mess. Toast... Though I hope they make it till April 7th

In the short term they will be ok. I bet Balram Chanrai will provide Portsmouth a short-term loan to clear the debt to stop the petition and buy time to find a buyer. In turn players will be sold to repay the loan (with significant interest) in this transfer window. However, their future wellbeing still looks grim.
