lol out on 5Live....

Boro fan (at the game) 18k there, only a handful from Pompey

Next up - Pompey fan from Stockport (not at the game) - we deserved to win today, new owner with ambition, they're keeping it quiet but got big plans, we're a sleeping giant blah blah blah

Didn't hear the rest as I was laughing too much!!

Another one crawls from the swamp, proving that evolution is real. Stick around for your blue few chums, they love it here and keep coming back for more home truths. :)

Apparently Boro wasted a load of chances

the thicko from Stockport twice announced that pompey the sleeping giant is the biggest club on the south coast.

Presumably he doesn't have a telly.

Or access to attendance figures.

Nor a league table.

Or a grasp of geography.

Today is day one of the next 27 years, and more.

Nice.

No it was 4 times he said 'they are a sleeping giant'. not sure who he was trying to convince; himself or everyone else. But he was struggling to string 2 sentences together. Had to laugh when he said 'they should have won the game' followed by 'he wasn't there'.....lol

Shame about the Saints fan after him who said everything correctly except 'Saints are the biggest club in the Championship'...knob. We are one of about a dozen biggish clubs. Leeds are the only real big club in this league...I know they have fallen from grace but they will beat all other clubs in this division for home and away support.

Good to see normal service resumed with Saints being the highest placed south coast club.

Let me get this right, you've been a member for 4 years, and that was your first post. Not exactly worth waiting for was it.....

Or has it taken you that long to type it like the rest of the illiterate blue few?

Poor result for the 4th biggest spenders in the Championship.

Need to get a few points in the bag before Harry has to be careful picking up the soap and you have to cop a 20 point deduction.

5 yellow cards too. Lampitt losing his touch?

Lol.

5 yellow cards = how much of a fine?

I wonder if they can pay it, or whether they'll be asking H&W to cough up for them ;)

Was Harry at the spuds game v athetico bilbao? Noticed it was Jordon who gave the interview after and there was no mention of Harry. He is not usually shy in front of the camera's so wondering why he didnt do the interview himself or if he was even at the game.

Did wonder that myself, couldn't see anything in any of the reports in this mornings papers to say whether he was there or not. I'm sure if he wasn't, it would be mentioned somewhere.

Had a look on the spuds site and they seem to have direct quotes from him regarding the game and so on so guess he was there.

Bit weird for him to not be at an interview in front of camera's and things though.

Perhaps the spuds are training Jordon just in case 'arry is unable to do so for a few weeks or months ?

I cannot understand why Dave Jones said on "Goals on Sunday," that he fancied the Skates as black horses for promotion. With that sort of nonsense no wonder he nearly took us down. It was interesting though, to hear Warnock say that it must be wonderful to manage a club like Southampton.

When he said it H/T during West Ham vs Cardiff, he qualified it by saying that SC was his mate, and when he made the prediction Gabby Roslin looked at him like he was mental. Which he is if he actually believes it!

that business with the coach is crazy, they could have lost half of their fanbase in one crash, thank god no one was hurt.

Shame it wasn't the team bus. Wouldn't want any serious injuries but a 3/4 out for a couple of weeks would have been interesting!

"Since June 1, £130,000 has been spent on relaying pitches at the club’s Eastleigh training ground."

More spin.

Yes, £130,000 has been spent on relaying pitches. But not by p****y. I'm told it was spent by King Edward's school as part of their refurbishment plans for Wellington.

P****y did not contribute a penny to the cost. As usual, they not only freeloaded, but claimed the credit for the outlay.

Presumably, they'll offset the cost they didn't pay against the tax they won't pay.

How is that court case coming along?

There's a rumour doing the rounds that Redknapp has been sentenced to 13 weeks in prison - his regular column in Saturday's Sun was missing, but I don't think anyone's actually been able to prove or disprove that one yet.

yeah Gemmel - they paid off the outstanding cancer charity with a full public apology and confirmed that the small creditors had all been paid in full as well.

They are now starting the CVA next month at 50p in the £ to clear the debt as quickly as possible, and the Russians have confirmed that Cotterill will have to make do with younger players or frees that will fit into a £8K a week wagecap, as the last thing they want to do is trade insolvently.

They also apologised for the misleading financial statements that have been presented to courts over the last two years, just before returning the fa cup that had been illegally obtained through deception and financial irregularity - the fa accepted their apology and scrubbed their name from the records.

Lampitt admitted that he was only in there to protect the image of the football authorities and confessed that he felt out of his depth, the team also went on a sponsored and incident-free trip to the States that really helped their preparation for the new season.

They beat Real Betis 4-3 in front of a packed Fratton Park before overcoming the mighty Boro on the opening day in front of 1,200 travelling fans, the goals coming from £6K a week Ben Haim and £4K a week and totally uninjured Lawrence.

The club also intend to finance the ward at QA that had to be closed when the taxpayer was robbed.

Other than that it's been pretty quiet.

Oh, and the few pretended they hadn't seen us destroy Leeds on the telly, though several of them look pale and anxious at the thought of the rematch.

See BBC iPlayer 1:16 in - the look on Gabby Logan's face is Priceless! :-)

LOL.... Actually I've just found the links and had a browse through the docs.

It would be such a shame if they get a points deduction...well anything under 15 would be a shame, should be minus 40. As for arry in the slammer, I can't see it...why would there still be a press ban if he has been found guilty, but regardless, I hope the FA have grown some balls over the summer.

Directly linked to the other trial, I guess.

Woo hoo! I've just had a reply from 'a journalist' to whom I sent 'the link' last week, as follows:

Thanks very much for this. Yes, these proceedings cannot be reported at the moment, but this is very useful and interesting, so I'd be very grateful if you would keep me in touch with it as you get more.

with best wishes
