Merovingian Posted 12 July, 2011 Share Posted 12 July, 2011 lol @ some of the comments. Some seem to get it and some dont. There are a few there that still seem to think TBH owes them and he is a money grabber. That may be the case for signing up to a lucrative contract that was offered but he cant be at fault for expecting his wages to be paid. nor can he be at fault for the club not allowing him to play. Still, it is no doubt a nice addition to the wage fund for the blue few. If CSI are using the 400 mil loan to fund this venture the fun will start again when its time to start paying that back. A good chunk of it will be going toward filling the squad up with quality over quantity (or high wages on players others dont want) and a bit more will at some point go towards paying the CVA (wonder if that is something they are considering or not??) All they will need then is to over fill their shed for both home and away games to make it look like they are living within their means and everything will be hunky dory. not sure its a nice addition as such, I would assume that his wages would have already been penned in for the period of his contract in the accounts, due diligence etc fortunately for us we have at least got rid of Hughes 20k p/w Brown 25k p/w Nugent 25k p/w
rallyboy Posted 12 July, 2011 Share Posted 12 July, 2011 like most football fans, the few who have done a U-turn and welcomed him back are saying he's a good player. Then again anyone being paid enough to finance three proven championship players should be pretty good. Approx £280 of every current season ticket holder's money will go directly out of the club and into the pocket of one player. His presence continues to damage the business. Any small creditors been paid by these overly-generous Russians yet? I thought not.
saintjay77 Posted 12 July, 2011 Share Posted 12 July, 2011 not sure its a nice addition as such, I would assume that his wages would have already been penned in for the period of his contract in the accounts, due diligence etc fortunately for us we have at least got rid of Hughes 20k p/w Brown 25k p/w Nugent 25k p/w From our point of view it's a nice addition as it puts your outgoings higher. When the rules kick in to get teams spending within their means it will make life harder for your lot. Honestly speaking though, its good that it has been settled before getting to court or wherever it was heading. I suppose it shows the russians are at least trying to tie up loose ends. If the creditors owed £2500 or less get paid up too it will look even better for you. So far it looks like money is being spent but unless you lot have an amazing season I can only see more and more money going out. I wonder how long a business plan the Russians have worked out before they start looking like they are breaking even? Let alone getting a return on their investment. I suppose our owners would of been looking to invest a similar amount into sfc to get us in the prem and showing a return on their investment but that investment has been ploughed into infrastructure and building for the future. Your russians have to spend like there is no tomorrow to get your squad able to compete and to get past debts out of sight. Infrastructure is an add on and will cost allot more. Still many questions that don't make sense about what's going on down there but on the face of it things seem to be looking up for you.
Merovingian Posted 12 July, 2011 Share Posted 12 July, 2011 I am very much in favour of the new rulings regarding teams and means etc - its better than watching us nearly go to the wall every 10 fecking years. In reality, yes its great to be above your rivals with the banter etc etc but I'd rather have a club in league 2 / conference to watch than no club at all or a club spending waaaaay above what it can afford. Maybe they're getting restless because there's a rumour doing the rounds that the club is about to bid £2m for a player. Corporate Ho Posted 13 July, 2011 Share Posted 13 July, 2011 Lol and isnt amusing the link you posted has the first quote of you saying you never disappeared when things got bad. Yet again you are back now things are looking up. You can say what you like but we know you werer bigging it up and believed a lot of your links to players. As you now are back again, can we assume your mum or wife have now allowed you to have a computer back and can use it as long as you eat your tea. You are so easy to easy to assess. You were a bullied child, no friends, a chip on both shoulders, can't take any criticism, a bit of a loner,in fact at work you would be seen as a real life David Brent. Love the cod psychology Nick Nack. Ref your current obsession that I've somewhere said I only post when my wife let's me use the laptop (PMSL) I've always said that I only post on here when I'm at work. I'm sure there might have been od occasions when I've posted at a weekend but 99% of the time it's when I'm in the office. Now your mum might have to take you to work (special needs centre is it?) but I manage to struggle in on my own. Here's some quotes of me saying about me posting from work, most of them to you funnily enough. I went "AWOL" for 3 weeks because I was on holiday. Pompey were, as far as I can remember, around the top 10 of the Prem at the time. Just what is it you're saying I was running from? I only tend to post once or twice a week because I'm not in the office as much as I used to be and as I keep telling people, I only post when I'm at work. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?4319-Pompey-Finances-are-boring!&p=99154&highlight=post+work#post99154 Thart one's from November 2008. You were accusing me of running away when the going got tough back then as well, apparently failing to notice that we'd just won the up and were shortly to play AC Milan in Europe. hard times indeed Nick nack. Here's a couple more posts on the same subject of posting from work Look Mave, I know you're not that bright but as I've explained dozens of times I DON'T POST ON HERE AT WEEKENDS, ONLY WHEN I'M AT WORK. That's why you saw no posts from me after we lost to Wigan until Monday. Do you think you can finally grasp that concept now? http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?4319-Pompey-Finances-are-boring!&p=99732&highlight=post+work#post99732 No, Nick Nack, I don't post either when I'm not at work or when I'm too busy http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?5395-Buy-Pompey-for-£1&p=132102&highlight=post+work#post132102 Are you starting to get the picture yet? If so, how would Antonov use it to fund Pompey when he hasn't taken over SAAB yet? pmsl I cant be bothered to find where it has been said before but I thought the SAAB deal was already done ages ago. SAAB didnt want to sell to them so they sold to someone else. The Ruskies then bought that company so became the owners of SAAB anyway or something along those lines. Then there was some 400 mil loan to help bail out SAAB or something which doesnt look like it has actually gone anywhere near SAAB yet. When sniffing round Bompey the Ruskies were dropped as it was thought they didnt have the funds. By the time they shack up to buy Pompey they are labled with having around 400 mil. Strange that init? Now the money may well be naff all to do with the loan and they may really have 400 mil to throw away which is why I started my comment with the word "IF". Because (doesnt matter where a loan like that is intended) borrowing 400 mil will come will a pretty hefty payment plan. Bare in mind even a full house every week down your ground will struggle to break even on current finances, its not a complety mental idea to think repayments on a 400 mil loan might be difficult too. So it may have nothing to do with it and you can chuck money about without a care in the world. But what IF? What if its another punt on the never never? Where will your club be left with another round of balifs at the door? Can you be sure that the money is there and finances will be fine now? Can you be sure the CVA will be getting paid? Can you be sure the court cases for previous directors wont come back to bite you on the arse? While the questions that are raised on here may well be wide of the mark you cant seriously discount them 100% in the knowledge that everything is rosey can you? Yampolsky was informed about this by Central Bank Deputy Chairman Melikian, who also promised that the newly merged bank will qualify for a stabilization loan for at least 10 billion rubles. Rumafia correspondents reported that in early February Yampolsky met with the head of the Russian Railways, Vladimir Yakunin. During the meeting they discussed the creation of the merged bank, what will happen to the debt and a possible stabilization loan from the Central Bank and the purchase of ... English Portsmouth. According to the same source, top managers of Russian Railways also expressed interest in the purchase of this football club. It is worth mentioning that Vladimir Antonov has been long haunted by the fame of Roman Abramovich who owns football club “Chelsea”. Antonov also wants to be a legal billionaire and owner of any team. Meanwhile, he cannot even become a legal owner of “Saab”. GM flatly refused to sell Saab to Spykers Cars for as long as Antonovs are the cowners of the latter. Father and son faked the sale of their stake in Spykers Cars (it was a bogus deal). This left Vladimir Antonov as of of the owners of Spykers Cars and the company then proceeded in purchasing Saab. Antonov just recently announced that he is going to purchase Spykers Cars again, which already owns Saab. Vladmir Antonov was not much more successful in purchasing a European football club. His negotiations to purchase “Glasgow Rangers” or "Bournemouth" ended in failure, after that he suddenly expressed interest in Russian football market. In 2010 he announced his intent to purchase Moscow Region “Saturn”. This was not a random choice. This club was on the edge of bankruptcy and owed 800 million rubles to MOITK. The amount of the debt became the purchase price for the club. The Antonovs, Yampolsky and STB were well familiar how to work with this entity, since they have been feeding on it for a long time. STB still owes 800 million rubles to MOITK. Antonov chose to play on this fact. He knows that this debt will be paid out of Central Bank budget, so you can just add couple hundred millions and get “Saturn” from MOITK. “Saturn” itself cannot pay a penny. However, Antonov’s plans did not find any support among his partners – Russian Railways already owns football club “Locomotiv”. As a result, “Saturn” has ceased to exist, and the masterminds of the grand scam decided to focus their efforts on the purchase of English “Portsmouth. ===========================

Still asking questions of those in charge as we dont want to go down the same route as we have in the past. All this is after spending a bucket load on coaches and developments behind the scenes, Training ground revemp including a nice shiney new buillding with state of the art equipment and tech, purchacing of some of League 1's top players and holding on (for the time being) one of the UK's hottest youth prospects despite the call of Arsenal being so strong n all. So things are looking pretty good for us yet we still want assurances. we still ask questions and we still have a vivid memory of how it all went so wrong. For you it seems no matter how wrong it all goes time and time again you are still very keen to jump into bed with anyone who shows interest. No questions asked and all smiles again. Many people have been mugged off by your club and you appear to be happy to sit back and let it all happen again without a care in the world. If any of us are at a dinner party and someone asks "what's the difference between a Southampton fan and a Portsmouth fan?" show them this post using the words 'nut' and 'shell' with gay abandon. Merovingian Posted 14 July, 2011 Share Posted 14 July, 2011 Maybe they're getting restless because there's a rumour doing the rounds that the club is about to bid £2m for a player. I don't have a source, other than the mutterings of Mr TF who's as angry about the small creditors and charities as are we. £2.5m if the mirror is to be believed. saint lard Posted 14 July, 2011 Share Posted 14 July, 2011 Arkadi sold his football club today and apparently PFC are going to be front page in 'the News' the Portsmouth newspaper. The reporter won't let on what it is about however. Here's hoping for something interesting. Of late, the 'news' and PFC have not been the greatest of allies. Dark Munster Posted 14 July, 2011 Share Posted 14 July, 2011 I have no idea about Pompey these days. Are they rich or skint? Has some filthy, laundered and borrowed-never-to-be-repaid money. Skint in the clean, honestly-earned stuff. Allegedly.
