Then went on to say they may as well look to clubs like Crystal Palace, Sheff Utd, Coventry etc which would be a much wiser investment due to their fan base and less dodgy accounts. Within minutes there were 25 replies (mainly typing their song 'he made me feel sick so I hit him with a brick') and 9 friend requests. I mean, I'm actually starting to get annoyed by their incompetence instead of finding it funny now... RSS Fans Urged To Contact Club Portsmouth Football Club urgently needs to make contact with three supporters who purchased season tickets with credit cards via telephone on Tuesday, April 26. One supporter made a transaction for £1,115 at 5.15pm. Another made a transaction for £865 at 1.15pm. A third made a transaction for £865 at 6.20pm. If you think this is you, please email the club’s IT manager at fred@pompeyfc.co.uk Please provide your name, client reference number and contact details. Thank you for your assistance. The club wishes to clarify details of the purchases after the 3 men concerned were overheard in the car park speaking in Russian accents, discussing their surprise that they managed to buy the whole club without exceeding their credit card limit

That deal has proven to a bargain for the Blues, with Lawrence and Kitson helping to comfortably keep them in the Championship." Gemmel Posted 28 April, 2011 Share Posted 28 April, 2011 So ... The credit card companies will only drip feed the money on a game by game basis. pompey try and get the fans to book through Zebra finance, but fans want credit / debit card protection. The stand off = poor sales. Club announces credit card payments for a week (Starting this week - only 3 working days) Fans go and pay by credit card and everything is hunky dory....... Or not, the first one to check their credit card statement, finds the debit is too..... wait for it...... Zebra finance http://www.fansonline.net/portsmouth/mb/view.php?id=345213 Someone needs some cash fast and will have sacrificed a percentage to Zebra to get in all in one go as opposed to drip fed. Don't ask me what it means, if channy if off on his toes or not, but they continue to stick two fingers up at the authorities and bend the rules to breaking point. If anyone was really questioning how skint they are, the answer is all in the above. Three days of season ticket sales is a lot when the fans have been holding back payment waiting for the credit / debit card option.... 3 days and what is it today, oh yes that's right it's pay day. An amazing bit of hypocrisy in this quote by King Chestnut on the News website! Well, in fairness, the Cheats didn't purchase success. Considering that they used players that they couldn't afford and are paying back pennies on the pound (if that) it's more like that they stole success. So rather than calling them hypocrites (which they are), it's perhaps even more apt to describe them as cheating, lying, filthy scumbags.

So if the club goes pop, does the credit card actually offer them any protection? This could get REALLY interesting...

Panda Posted 29 April, 2011 Share Posted 29 April, 2011 Anyone buying a season ticket this way is entering in to a transaction with Zebra Finance. If P****Y do eventually go under, season ticket holders who purchased their tickets this way will have no protection. Only if Zebra Finance cease to trade will they have any come back and then only if they go under before their season ticket arrives in the post. P****Y out of business will mean season ticket holders out of pocket as they will have no games to watch. It will have zero effect on the banking system as a whole UNLESS Zebra Finance are giving season ticket holders guarantees about refunds which I very much doubt.
