Crab Lungs Posted 16 April, 2011 Share Posted 16 April, 2011 To take the highest paid XI in the division and coach them to mid-table mediocrity amid chaotic disciplinary problems sets Cotterill apart from most managers. Miracle worker? Maybe not, but he is certainly special... Though I'm still not convinced about his definition of quality in the whole ongoing and disastrous quality over quantity experiment that he intends to repeat next season. If there is one. I've enjoyed the terrific job he's done as much as I'm enjoying the craggy old prossie-botherer's latest relegation debacle. You can't take his spirit, but if you pop down to Upton Park you can have the three points anytime you fancy. Class as always, rallyboy!

Well Steve the Cardiff player stood where he was and Rocha approached him aggressivily and put his head into the Cardiff player. Damn those pesky refs interpreting things to ALWAYS go against Pompey! I'm loving the Russian takeover too by the way, as it's a win, win for Saints fans. Win 1, they pass the F&PPT [there's no way they can but who knows!], and takeover. The club is then owned by some crooks with links to organised crime and Russian Mafia [deja vu all over again?]. We all know what happened the last time with Gady and co, which means lots more lols for us! Some more classic toilet bowl stadium plans wouldn't go a miss too Win 2, they don't pass the F&PPT and there are no end of Skates crying about how it's all so unfair and the authorities have got it in for them. Forgetting of course that it was their club / fans[sic] who petitioned for much tighter rules governing the F&PPT in the first place As for promotion, even the most delusional skates must have accepted the inevitable by now! With ten games to go I pointed out that they needed to average 1 point per match more than everyone else just to make the playoffs. With four games to go they have to now average 2.5 points per game more than everyone lower than 5th place

Before their nasty overpaid squad disbands for the final time I wonder if Chanrai mentioned to the Russians his ongoing legal right to the majority of any transfer monies? Or the fact that the surrounding land isn't included. Do they know about the CVA? or the pending court cases? Or the liquidation investigation? At least they have three years of parachute payments to come...... There must be loads of little surprises awaiting the unwary. Hope they got someone better than Al Fahim to do the due diligence. Gemmel Posted 18 April, 2011 Share Posted 18 April, 2011 I think we should help them out - 1) gaydamak owns part of the land that the stadium (loosest sense of the word) sits on 2) A previous Director is in court in May, the result of which, is likely to incur a points deduction 3) The squad will be down to 9 players in about 3 weeks time. 4) chinny boy has a personal claim to every transfer fee 5) There remains an ongoing investigation with insolvency commision. 6) There is an additional forsenic investigation into the affairs, that could well uncover some nasty old truths, that...................might incur another points deduction. 7) Unfortunately to break even, they had to spend next years parachute money. There is no training ground. 9) 20 million left to pay on the CVA 10) The bestest fans in the world are very shy and don't like to leave the house, on a Saturday afternoon. Gemmel Posted 18 April, 2011 Share Posted 18 April, 2011 Some back of a fag packet maths. Chanarai is a secured creditor for 24 million Gaydamak is secured for 5 million The CVA is 20 million Assuming, that chinny will walk for 24 million, , together with gaydamak and the CVA, that is 50 million commitment. Let's say that they didnt really spend all of next years parachute payments and there is still 30 million to come, Then that is 20 million to take them over. They will then need to sign 15 players, say 5 loans, 5 frees and 5 with a fee..... being very reserved, say they can do all that for 5 million. Then they need to stop the cash loss on gates of 12 - 14,000. So say 30 million (Could be more, if they have spent next years parchute money) for a championship club, who need a new stadium, don't have any training facilities, face a points dedcution and whose crowds are falling. That's a pretty big gamble....

Saint_John Posted 18 April, 2011 Share Posted 18 April, 2011 I find it interesting that the russkies have turned up now and whether they have any links to Daddy. As there is a chance that Daddy may be going to get off on the Money Laundering case in Israel. Gaydamak money laundering charges may be dropped .....minister of justice to signing the directive the coming into effect of this article until February 18, 2002, he only signed it on May 19, 2002, and the law was published on May 22, 2002. http://www.globes.co.il/serveen/globes/docview.asp?did=1000624723 Arcadi Gaydamak yesterday won a round in his ongoing court case: The judge ruled that the prohibition on money-laundering, on which most of the charges in the case against the Russian-Israeli businessman are based, didn't exist at that time. http://english.themarker.com/gaydamak-wins-big-round-in-money-laundering-case-1.344712?localLinksEnabled=false So all the bad times the Cheats FC have gone though over the past couple of years, because the "Family Business" had it bank accounts frozen in Israel, may have unnecessary.
