Pompey Takeover Saga

I was in Poopey yesterday and the smell of rotten fish was certainly alarming, it put an unsavory taint on my fish and chips.

Im finding this whole 'season ticket' daylight robbery rather amusing. Most people get paid this week, so they can plough all of there disposable income straight into Leivs and Chinnys slush fund. Im not forgetting that most skates dont work very hard, so its probably coming from the state somehow, or some silly credit card. Any means necessary for Chinny and the boys though!

Only a couple of days left before you lose your seats, how harsh is that?! Putting a gun to the heads of your most loyal customers, an emotional raping which demonstrates to me that Chinn and co are learning a bit about the football business, and are bringing a strong influence of their other business interests into the operation of fraud fc: viscious money lending and outrageous repayment demands... Weve already done the club for 22% interest, lets do the mug fans now!

I anticipate the skate attandence to take another considerable hit, as most clubs do suffer a far greater drop in the second season post prem, with the skates hillarious problems ahead I think they will be hit really hard. So, 2012 season ticket monies plus two years of parachutes to get through the first season of ccc footy, before paying any of the creditors for the CVA agreed in 2010 (which should be well underway by now). Well done Pompey, well done indeed.

So Cotters has done enough to earn himself a bit of speculation. Going by his frustrations, and his lack of career loyalty so far as he climbs the game, I would say he would grab a move away and would have no problems jumping ship before it crashes in the the Spinnaker.

Im not sure about Lampitt, but I think its about time he became head of spin for the Tories or perhaps he could improve the image of Gaddy gun runners. The manufactured answers to the various skate supporter groups open letters are nothing short of genious, and utterly hilarious. He would make Boris Johnson proud with his mighty deflection tactics!

Next season is going to be fantastic. They managed to stitch up the rest of the league this season with underhand 20k loanees, but it did not come without its consequences. All the youth talent has been farmed out, a decision they may come to regret when scraping a starting eleven together! They still have big contracts to honour, which is funny. Oh yeah, that CVA... I reckon they will go bust again, Chinny wont fancy it. Karma will catch up, and Pompey is going down with no money in the bank.

I believe there are 5 companies of interest.

I remember hearing that the "fan's company" received some letters from the Tax man a few years ago that should have gone to the "City company" therefore they may well be trying to confuse the Tax man.

CORRECT ME anyone if you think I am wrong

The current lot are :-

The cheats that went into Admin last year are :-

There are 3 other companies

They should simply be renamed Cheats FC. That will avoid all confusion.

I think the weather forecast is wrong for today.

I believe there is a very localised cold front spreading from Hayling Island to Skate town today.

Imo it could see the Cheats drop to Minus 10 in a few weeks if Storrietellers trip for "Plea & Case Management" to Southwark Crown Court TODAY doesn't go well.

10:00 Court 7 before Judge Testar.

No wonder the Cheats were trying to get the ST money in early

Now it has been commited to crown court, this is just a two minute job for the accussed to plead Not guilty or Guilty.

I do hope the blue few haven't abused Mr Storrie to much in the street. Imagine the sense of revenge he would enjoy if he replied "G.u.i.l.t.y" your honour.

But thats just a pipe dream, they will al plead not guilty and it will move to trail in May

A little snippet from clotterill. Wouldn't be renegociating hios contract by any chance would he?

He's an idiot, his big mistake is thinking that everyone else is gullible as well.

They really have been blessed with some clowns in key roles, whether it be making insane financial decisions or expecting people to believe their appalling PR.

Tis the comedy show that never stops.

I don't see the Russians rushing much - wasn't this the deal that was all but done and would complete a few weeks back just in time to pay the next wages and prevent any season ticket policy debacles?......

So how many weeks was it that the Russians would be taking over? I know news down there has been a bit slow latley which is suprising considering they were just about to be taken over....... again!

Internationals have given there squad a break which could line them up for a few decent results but that could just extend the agony on missing out on the play-offs at the last minute.

Any updates from the Ho latley?

Another young player let go:

http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/great-matches/midfielder_to_be_shown_blues_door_1_2544507

"What is the difference between having six subs or seven subs?", says Steve - will have to remember that quote next year.

he really knows how NOT to make the young players feel good. I hope the parents of any youngster contemplating signing there think twice.

Next seasons squad gets more interesting by the minute. Lumpitt and one of the other Directors are already on record as saying there is a hole in where they should be regarding money for the CVA and conmfirmation from the News that they have spent next years parachute money as well.

The next parachute payment is due in the Autumn...... Whats the betting they continue to ignore the provision for the CVA and just get another load of expensive loans and frees to make up the squad.

why should pompey even bother to start the CVA?

No one is pushing them for payment, they had a big thumbs up from most creditors to do whatever they want and royally shaft them.

HMRC messed up in court so they look pretty toothless - I can't see any reason why Chanrai will bother to address the debts.

There has been no attempt thus far to pay off anything significant, what's going to change?

Even tax evasion convictions won't pay off debt, the creditors are incredibly thick or are being advised by village idiots.

The simpleton creditors voted for nothing (less expenses), and that's what they are getting - for at least another year.

Meanwhile AA is living it up, and the failed business is splashing out like Avram behind an industrial estate skip.

As it stands they look more likely to start work on the 80,000 seater Harbourdome than start the CVA.

Probably not. I'm sure that Chinny has shot his wad. If they don't go up their squad for next season will make our disastrous "revolutionary coaching set up" with the kids look like a Man City style extravaganza. And if the Autumn parachute payment is indeed the last one, then it's surely pull-the-plug time, and the Cheats (if they aren't completely liquidated) will drop down the leagues faster than a pair of knickers in Portsea Island.

The tax man has never gone away and nor will he.

They made their case very clear months ago with the single line "Take the revised CVA or we will seek recompense, from individuals".

They were never walking away from the money just like that- not just because of the amount, but the message that it sends out.

100, 200, 300 pages before this, I have said the same thing and someone posted on here the tax man has 30 files on pompey.... I'm sure he does, but its when the axe falls that will probably surprise us all. It won't effect pompey per se, but someone will pay, if not in hard cash, but in hard time. For Gaydamak, it's no really biggy, it just limits where he can live (Assumming he doesn't stump up 30 million quid) but for others the price may well be higher. Remember even a CEO who is "Just an employee" has a legal obligation to fulfil his companies tax commitments. In a way i do feel a bit sorry for him (If I am right) as the previous owners will get out of it scott free, but I have a feeling Mr Storrie, will end up the "fall guy"

On a separate note, I woneder how many of those 30 folders are titled " Tanya Robins Evidence" :)

This is a good read on the issues relating to Lehman and the Football Creditors Rule.

http://m.accountancyage.com/aa/analysis/2029942/lehmans-soothe-taxmans-football-woes

So it is "Lehman Brothers Special Financing V Belmont Park Investments" that HMRC is waiting for a judgement from the Supreme Court.

Says the decision is expected by the end of March. Looks like thats only a decision on updating the Anti-Deprviation Principle but that update is the key to what happens next.

So it could still be a while before anything happens here, as if that decision goes in favour of Lehmans then it sounds like it will go back to court for them, and HMRC will still be waiting for the result of that before they do anything here.

Lehmans got knocked back twice though based on how that Anti-Deprivation Principle is set out right now so its not looking good for them. Could be back to the drawing board for HMRC then.

IMO he looked very worried going into Southwark Crown Court on tuesday.

http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/29032011/2/photo/29032011105602.html

Although it was only for the "Plea" on Tuesday, I am very surprised there has been nothing in the press about the court appearance. Not even a one liner given the dates of the 2 trials.

Dont worry about arry, the amounts are trivial in the grand scheme of things, even guilty it will just be a fine and worst case suspended sentance. It would of course ruin his chances of being England manager and of owning Bournemouth, but I am sure he would find his away around the latter.

In fact it would be quite interesting for him to own his own club. Given every club bar his current one have gone bust, he might just have to change his post match interviews about how crap his squad is.

It might not completly ruin the england job for him. Venables got done for something and was still the england manager didnt he? Not sure what way round that was but he is still respected(ish) in the football world.

Would be nice to see some dirt stick on the twitchy bugger though!

Im not a 100% certain, but think Venables "errors" were mid term and he resigned shortly afterwards..... To be honest the best thing Venables ever did was buy pompey for a pound..... Stitch them up, make some cash and have it away on his toes...... They seem to attract the very best people.

Champaign Terrance, never bought us for a pound, He thought he had. Contracts were scribbled The bubbley cork was pop ed, Glasses were charged and raised by him and young Gregory, Then Venables Brief, Bent his shell like and whispered (you have just wasted a Knicker, He don't own the club, The Bank do) Terry got all arsie an fooooooked off,

The one thing Venables did do was make sure the fratton end stand was rebuilt.

Don't be rude, gemmel!:-) sounds like a perfectly reasonable Pompey situation, not knowing who owns the club you are buying....

Preferably not till next season so any points deduction will be then. They'd not be relegated with 10 points off this year.

Yes, but imagine they do manage to scrape into 6th place. Just as the few start to celebrate a chance of avoiding the guillotine ..... they get hit with a 10 point penalty, and so Chinny puts them into administration to complete the asset stripping, resulting in an extremely pissed-off FL tossing them out of the league completely.

Oh how we'd laugh.

Congratulations Skatesmouth FC on awarding Perth Glory's Scott Neville a trial. Perth Glory finished 10th in the Hyundai A-League 2010/11 season (or should I say, 2nd last). While Neville isn't a bad player in context with the A-League........... surely he won't be anywhere near the standard of a Premiere League football team such as Skatesmouth.

You were also rumoured to be taking Brisbane's Mitch Nichols - but as expected that turned out to be an April fool. AND NO WONDER - he's way too good for you ;)

Why don't they go the whole hog and invite Hamilton Thorp, Robbie Enes, John Aloisi and Andy Petterson back? Surely they could use the numbers...
