If that was the bet Chez, Then i would lump all my shackles on you, After what happened before, And the start of this season, If we stay up then we have had a result,

Best case scenario all the south coast clubs in the same div, Derby days every month,

Oh dear, Mack seems oblivious to the fact that if Cheats FC don't go up this year then Chinny is most likely to pull the plug.

But as they say, ignorance is bliss.

so they'll have used all the TV/parachute money by the end of this season? cor dear

Assuming they don't go up it looks like this summer is where reality might start to bite for them, although that's assuming there is no more money for Chainrai to pocket otherwise I'll expect Nugent et al will be offered contract extensions

So when does everyone reckon we will hear if they have been paid or not

They will be paid. They are breaking even this season, based on two years worth of parachute payments. Next season is the real pain, when they need to buy a squad after their points deduction. They will probably take year 3 early at that point, but then they need to start servicing the CVA.

They have avoided relegation this season, but with minus points, 7 players, CVA kicking in and reduced crowds, next season will be interesting.

Not necessarily, don't be surprised if another renegotiation of the CVA occurs again! Paying the CVA really is the last thing on their minds.

At the rate they are going in a year or so creditors will find the agreement has been modified again so that they owe pompey several pence in the pound.

I can only see it continuing. More dodgy ownership deals, no fines, no points deductions, a few surprising new contracts in the summer, a truck load of loan signings, a couple of signings they mysteriously beat clubs with money to, and few questions asked.

Will keep the thread healthy though.

they live a charmed life and whilst many thought they would go down they have a decent first team. I doubt they will get to the play offs but winning 4 on the trot has made them climb the table. Their loans in have all been good, and perhaps we should take a leaf out of their book and get some in

In other news, sources say there are no indications of any connection between Poopey FC and the Break-In and theft today of significant amounts of highly valuable IT equipment from The Vodafone DataCentre in Basingstoke.

Source confirm that the closeness of the Centre to the Cash-Stapped club were co-incidental and that the links between Poopey FC & possible Criminal entities within Eastern Europe exist only in the minds of a few Internet Bloggers.

However, despite the denials, the fact that the theft occurred so close to a rumoured date for the payment of wages has continued to cause speculation to mount.

The things they do to amuse themselves on Portsea island. I guess the two thumbs and the extra toes make it hard to do it themselves

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-12595809

The article mentions open wounds which reminds me that pcfc are themselves an open sore on the face of football, slowly eating away at it. Problem is that nobody in charge

wishes to administer euthanasia to the Corp(se).

More likely to claim that they have been forced to resort to a shared Vodafone 3G dongle for all their net access and that the outage made them miss the window for uploading the payment details.

when you say points deduction I assume your referring to Storrie's tax evasion case. Even if he's found guilty I wouldn't be surprised if the FL did the square root of bugger all with regards to a points deduction. You can hold the Luton etc. examples up but with Pompey there seems to be too many skeletons in too many closets.

As for running the club on the parachute payments, if they have splurged all 3 years worth on running the club/wages I don't get why Chainrai hasn't put the parachute payments in his back pocket and chucked the carcass on the heap. I can see why he would stay to get his mitts on all the income, but the income seems to be going straight into the player's pay packets.

I am puzzled as to why Chainrai is still bankrolling them.

Tweet from Solent.....Finance woes in the past - Nugent

"Portsmouth player David Nugent says his side have moved on since last years financial woes...."

hahaha, No David, you mean you've been paid but are currently spending your way to more issues when the parachute money runs out.

Mack, the pertinent point is, how much of the parachute money have they spent early as indicated in the last release from the cowboys who ran the administartion process. You're telling me you break even on crowds of 12- 15K given some of the salaries being paid?

Oh and it's mush.

From the recent meeting of fans with Lampitt on 23rd Feb...

Q- When will the club start to receive parachute money for its own use?

A – It is likely that the club will be in positive receipt of fund this autumn.

Chinny only bankrolled them this season because he was gambling on going up. With that plan all but dead, I doubt he'll do anything more than keep them on life support until he has sucked every last penny possible out of the rotten corpse. And Cotterill's bleatings about a "paper thin" squad is unlikely to change his mind: that was obvious during the last window.

Of course with 4 wins on the trot there is still a glimmer of hope for the few, but that will only make it more painful if they come close at the end of the season, close but no cigar (and if so, Chinny will be kicking himself for throwing in the towel too soon. :D)

Who me? I think you'll find it's Alp who does the largism on this forum, I could never walk in such illustrious footsteps.

Still, one bit of good news for the few from the recent months, how lucky they were that Gaddaffi Jnr stayed away

I thought they had used some of it upfront while still in the prem? Maybe I'm going mad.

Anyway, the money in Autumn as posted below will surely be extracted to line Chinnys pocket?

isn't the parachute £16M + £16M + £8M + £8M?

I'm guessing they have already spent or need the £32M to clear football debts in year one - leaving three years to go on ever-decreasing income, with Prem income or rich owners the only answer.

They will be financially-outmuscled by the likes of Hull as time goes on, unless they continue to trade insolvently.

Yep, that's how the payments are.

We KNOW the PL advanced them 11m of that in JANUARY 2010.

According to a UHY announcement back in November they had already spent 8m of next year's money.

They must be well into the 2nd half of next year's money by now.

Leaving the 2x8m payments for years 3 and 4, much of which will surely go to football creditors.

Good innit!!!

Well, well, well. 5 wins on the trot. The few's hopes must be raised now. How many more before Corpse Whore comes back here to start gloating?

Can their "paper thin" squad achieve the impossible and make the playoffs, giving them a 1/4 shot of postponing, for a season, being dismantled and shut down?

The excitement mounts.

they have some very winnable games coming up, I would suggest it's between them, Leeds and Leicester for the last play-off lottery ticket - let's see which squad runs out of legs and luck first.

And the way we are going, perhaps we will have two exciting play-offs to suffer on the south coast, ours for promotion, there's for survival.

Not sure I'm looking forward to our season being decided in one game at Old Trafford, or a two-legged affair against someone like Huddersfield....pivotal moment for our two seasons this month.

Time for them to cheer us up with a missed payment, failed FaPPT, or a cotterill press statement about plucky little pompey, the highest paid XI in the division.

Mack calm down or your gills will explode in excitement. The bestest team in L1 won 1 nil last night whilst the 5th best team lost 1-0. The highest paid team in the Championship won again, no talk of only 3 subs and how tough it is for you by your manager for a few matches now. of course that only is brought up when he is trying to deflect the attention from him.

Ah yes, but if we lose our Russian roulette it would only be a temporary and annoying interruption in our rise to where we belong (in the league where we spent 27 continuous years, without cheating to stay there).

The Russian roulette for your lot, if you're lucky enough to get to that point, will be with a gun having 4 bullet chambers, 3 of them filled.

Brown pants time for the few. It's the hope that kills you.

Let me rephrase, The bestest team (on paper) by a muver****in street, Blowit again last night,

I can see this all ending in tears, As the SO posty code have there little faces pressed firmly against the window, looking in on the rest of the south coast street party.

Love the analogy but what are the chances of them getting the empty chamber? Pretty high I'd say... dirty, cheating bast4rds.
