Pompey Takeover Saga

they are on a season-saving run, it must be time for Lord Ho Lucan to post again.....

Winning games is great but that isn't the main problem - points won't pay the wages, nor will those gates.

Indeed, pompey are a club where the term "under thirteen's" refers more to their attendance than their youth policy.

They won't go up which was my main concern. I expect them to be in relegation trouble next year. Hope we go up.

From that article:

Meanwhile, after Nottingham Forest made enquiries over Michael Brown, a new unnamed club has moved to take the midfielder on an emergency loan.

Cotterill added: ‘I have told Michael and given the club his number to have a chat with him. It’s not Forest, it’s another club. But there is nothing further to add on Richard Hughes.’

That's got me wondering, not Saints, surely?

£36k a week. So thats nearly £120k Ben Haim is costing someone. I bet its Pompy, and they are doing all they can so shift his wages back onto WHU.

My guess is that this is the money that Chinny boy was moaning about the other day - another club owes them money, but there is a legal reason why they don't have to pay! That reason, quite simply is because his loan spell is up, it wasn't extended and he was returned to his parent club. Not that it's typical of the skates to believe that they should still be owed his wages for the rest of the season!

"It's outstanding football debts and payment disputes. If you went into detail of these disputes, you would feel sorry for Portsmouth." Portsmouth owner Balu Chainrai.

Dream on mate.

It's the tax paying public, charities and small businesses you robbed from I feel sorry for.

A few of their fans still seem to think there's an outside hope of playoffs! An easy 5 games coming up apparently. They'd have to win nearly all their remaining games IMO. Zero chance. They'll keep going erratically and finish 12th-18th. Which probably means death.

There's only one thing worse as a fan than your team being unable to get close to promotion, knowing that going up was the only hope of avoiding being closed down completely: it's when your team starts moving up the table, giving you a glimmer of hope of salvation, but just failing at the end, resulting in the death of the club.

It's the hope that kills you.

In a way you have to feel sorry for the few.

Not.

Its ok, they have five people interested.

Just no one has shown proof of funds yet

5 interested parties eh? They covet Poopey.

Still not proved funds.

Well, that actually sounds like a MASSIVE step forwards for them. Let's face it their LAST owner didn't even prove EXISTENCE, let alone funds

Lol.

They've had 'interested' parties for almost an entire year with no sign of a sale.

'Balou' [why are they trying to make him sound like a friendly bear from the Jungle Book!], set a two week deadline, one can only assume that that was set last week and coincides almost perfectly with Crab Lungs payday countdown ;)

Also loving the fact that their chief executive actually doesn't have a clue about just how many 'interested' parties there are! Some of the comments are close to the truth, and others just come from the normal deluded retards - where is Corpse by the way :D

I'm afraid I'll remain doubtful until I hear that Lampitt has had at least one email and a viocemail message. Those things will clinch it as far as I'm concerned.

That is understandable for the fact we have got through the administration period and have three or four months of reasonably healthy trading under our belts.

Don't you just love these fishy boys. I'm wondering if Lampitt is related to Storrie perchance?

It's pretty much a given that everyone is related to everyone else in that city...

A little snippet from the fans meeting with Lumpit;

When asked how they build the squad at the end of the season lumpitt answers

"transfers do not necessarily have to be built around an upfront fee that value for money was the key"

LOL, straight out of Peter Storrie book of football club management. That's it Lumpitt...buy them on the never never

How many clubs are going to actually accept bids like that from them thought after the past couple of years and their record of paying money which they owe?

I'm told the Russian who is trying to buy them after being rebuffed by Bompey lives in Sandbanks!

You couldn't make it up, could you? But then why would you want to make it up.

 Yes indeed, they actually believe the bollocks spewed by Lampitt and that the club is now running at a profit. Well I suppose that is technically possible for a while if they can continue to sell payers for a few million, not pay the wages of those they can't flog, and continue to rely on the parachute payments. A very sustainable business model, that.

so are you suggesting the new russian is not just connected to organised crime but also a neighbour of the man at the heart of pompey's tax evasion investigations, who was also one of Storrie's closest associates through the 'dodgiest' times?

If true, that would make it a very small and scary world indeed.

Add in the man who was at Leeds with Ridsdale and there is a dream team forming.

There can't be enough left on the carcass for all of them.

Let's see what payday brings, or will they just be calling it 'day' this month?

Hi, thought I'd check in and help boost the post count for this thread, it's been about 700 pages since I checked it, but it looks like it needs the help. :)

Personally I stopped caring when they dodged the second court winding up date and started actually inventing debt to elbow out HMRC.

And people wonder why the forum crashes :D
