JackFrost Posted 22 October, 2010 Posted 22 October, 2010 A last minute deal will happen. They won't go bust. Course it will. It makes the people who were calling for this thread to be closed look rather foolish but I suspect there is plenty of life left in this thread yet. Sky reckon that Gaydamak have moved the goalposts at the 11th hour, reporting it as a screw up. There will be a deal done at 11:59 though and they'll survive for now.

Toadhall Saint Posted 22 October, 2010 Posted 22 October, 2010 Who owns the land? Would have development potential if the football club went. I think its Mr G - isn't it?

BigShadow Posted 22 October, 2010 Posted 22 October, 2010 (edited) They should have been liquidated at the high court in Feb. They should have been liquidated at the high court in Aug. Third time lucky??? I doubt it, but hopeful - and this from someone who was sympathetic to their plight nine months ago, albeit amused by their struggles. But now, I am disgusted by the way they have continued to spend to attempt to fund a promotion push whilst writing off millions in debts to taxpayers, businesses and charities. PFC is an embarrassment to English football and it needs to die. Edited 22 October, 2010 by BigShadow Typo

Right sider Posted 22 October, 2010 Posted 22 October, 2010 Who owns the land? Would have development potential if the football club went. Mr G owns all the surrounding property, ie carparks, surrounding buildings, Mr C owns the stadium itself I believe.

Gorgiesaint Posted 22 October, 2010 Posted 22 October, 2010 "Mr Gaydamak has provided confirmation several times that terms were agreed. However, he has continually changed his position in an attempt to exploit the goodwill of the other parties to the transaction." (from the Pompey statement) How can he have agreed with the terms, yet changed his position several times? Either he agreed or he didn't..... ...let's hope it continues to be the latter!!! But it's just more carp being uttered from the wrong end of the M27.

Scottie Posted 22 October, 2010 Posted 22 October, 2010 Won't happen, it's just threats to make Gaydamack to lower his demands - he will get nothing if it folds. He would still get some money as the money owed to him is secured debt. i.e. he gets first call on any money made from the assets they liquidate. He could even end up getting more money if they are liquidated than if they come out of administration.

You can agree something in principle and then delay actually signing something off.

Scudamore Posted 22 October, 2010 Posted 22 October, 2010 Baj you nobber...I didn't go through the effort of tapping this toss out on an iPhone only to have you close the thread! Right here it is...as if anyone cares... What some of you fail to realise is we need them. It's like having a superhero with nobody worth smashing up. Makes life kind of boring. So whilst I'm all for getting the status quo of us being above them in the league structure...it is important to remember that we want them to exist. And to be ****. Much more fun that way.

Colinjb Posted 22 October, 2010 Posted 22 October, 2010 I will only celebrate when it's all signed and sealed. Until then more brinkmanship and rubbish from a contemptible cesspit of a "football club."

Huffton Posted 22 October, 2010 Posted 22 October, 2010 IF the club got liquidated, how much could Gaydamack realistically snap up the ground for, considering he owns everything surrounding it?
