Meanwhile, it has emerged Spurs pocketed £800,000 from the £5m deal which took Prince Boateng to Genoa.

They received a percentage of the profit the Blues made on the Ghanaian midfielder

 

Still another £4M in this Transfer Window, then another £4M in the next and then a further £8M next summer. IMO No chance.

Anyway once this kid from up north has fulfilled the 401 conditions for borrowing £40M, he should be okay for getting more loans and working the debt back up.

Yes, I can see him taking Pompey back to where they were - £138M in debt.

 

He wants to buy the club with their own money, he's a little Glazer!

Not sure why a "late rush" for tickets equates to a need for cash-only sales....?

 

Surely it's just as quick to purchase goods/services by card as it is cash these days, if not quicker? Some sort of banking embargo for 'direct/on-site sales' per chance...?

What random event caused AA to make a specific number quote in his press release? Is it really Karma?

 

A Bridging loan agreement with exactly 401 conditions?

 

Not 387 or 426, AA read a form with 401 on it.

But sources close to Mr Lever told The News the delay is because the administrators still have to supply him with due diligence reports

 

Mr Lever's camp has indicated to The News Portsmouth City Council has been supportive of their bid and they believe it is possible that a deal for the club could be wrapped up before the weekend

maybe he's a stooge for the HMRC. maybe HMRC are trying to buy if for £16m, as its the best way for them to get their hands on all the parachute money. LOL

'The whole situation worries me, we have to be conscious we have to do the best thing for the club.'

 

I thought his job was to do the best thing for the creditors of the club, not the club itself per se? Although I suppose the latter facilitates the former.

Sorry to not trawl through the many pages, but what are the reasons for Pompey not having a points deduction this season too?

 

Because they could only have got a points deduction if they came out of admin without an agreed CVA, and it isn't guaranteed yet anyway

 

Their still in admin with an agreed CVA in place (although whether it will be kept to, many have serious doubts) when they come out.

 

Another factor is 'arry, Storrie and Mandaric are up before the beak for tax evasion in October and if found guilty, this could result in a points deduction.

The visitors have already sold their allocation of 2,200 tickets.

How can he say Portsmouth played really well and were in Palaces faces all night and had chance after chance and deserved to win etc etc when they had 49% possesion to palaces 51%, had 10 shots compared to palaces 8, had 8 corners to palaces 7, 16 fouls compared to palaces 9 etc. And that was with palace having 10 men and a 37 year old who has not played in 2 years who is a midfielder in defence.... At least Merrignton is honest with what he see's and if it is crap will say so. Pompey could lose 30-0 and have 10 people sent off and he would still say they deserved to win, what a mong.

Hey i got no problem with you winning, far from it, well done! But he makes you out to be like Arsenal or something in your style of football. How is it he see's something totally different from everyone else? Even reading on your forum they those at the game thought you were terrible. The point of a summariser is to summarise, not be a biased fanboy.

Sorry, but calling him a mong is unfair. I have met Andy Awford several times, he's a really nice chap. He's very knowledeable about football (as most would expect from an ex-pro), and is accutely aware of the parlous situation Portsmouth are in. However, knowing how blinkered the blue few can be, I think he tells them what they want to hear. How long do you think he'd last if he told them they were godawful week in week out, and still not out of the woods with the prospective owner?

Awford is still sensibly giving the party line whereas Claridge was ridiculed for suggesting that the club was being run by criminals and that it was wrong to abuse local businesses and charities.

Not sure that he's recovered from his honesty but his street cred has improved dramatically everywhere else.

 

And while we are on the subject of shafting business and taxpayers to contribute to the funding shortfalls in local services, will the club that ripped off the taxman to the tune of £25M+ be renamed as G5 FC to recognise their part in cutbacks, or are the locals not ready to make that uncomfortable connection just yet?...

So the main man behind the takeover of Leicester is a young guy whose family own the King Power duty-free shops in Thailand. Anybody who flies into Bangkok will know that they are the major players in that area. Anybody who knows Thailand will also know that large contracts like that awarded to King Power at the time of the building of the new airport, will almost certainly have been granted because they were friends or allies of Thaksin Shinawatra. I would hazard a guess that because Thaksin is not able to have ownership of a club, deemed not to be a fit and proper owner, that he has a puppet to do it for him.

Im sure they dont need to sell. AA has said so a number of times. SC must have upset him by getting in loans to cover the defence so he must have asked to leave the bestest club in the world.

looks like a few lesser Prem clubs have found somewhere to offload their unwanted overpaid squad players, and the owner clubs can't be paying all the wages.

 

I think Stoke have history, they pulled that stunt on us.....

 

Wilson can't be on too high a wage having joined before Storrie and Redknapp got going so his exit won't help as much as that of Utaka or Nugent.

If they are stuck with both of them until the next window it will cost something like £2M and the wagecap will be nonesense - that's if they can actually pay the wagebill or clear up the outstanding bonuses.

That STAR story looks like an old qoute used for a bit of 2 +2 = 5 journalism.

 

Mandaric has yet to hace the sale approved for half of Leicester at the moment. Before he can buy another club he needs to dispose of all of his interest in LCFC, so that could take some time.

 

Mind you he has bought them out of admin before, and found someone to punt them onto, maybe he thinks that he could do it again ?
