Ohio Saint Posted 5 August, 2010 Posted 5 August, 2010 All my UK sites have been crap today, while the US ones are working fine.

GenevaSaint Posted 5 August, 2010 Posted 5 August, 2010 Dissapointed is an understatement. Don't think HMRC did that good a job. It's going to be a long season for them and I don't think they've reached rock bottom yet.
OldNick Posted 5 August, 2010 Posted 5 August, 2010 There you go. The judiciary don't care that the nation has been robbed and yet again a judge has bottled it. I think we all may as well go on a spending spree go into massive unsustainable debt and then laugh in the revenues face. It wasn't a case of the HMRC playing a blinder but sending a blind man to deliver the evidence. pathetic

altoniansaints Posted 5 August, 2010 Posted 5 August, 2010 listening to talk sport and seems like they are thinking the same as us!!! wrong decision!! gutted but hey we`ll be a league above them next season (fingers crossed)
JackFrost Posted 5 August, 2010 Posted 5 August, 2010 (edited) they were always gonna win it. and they'll win the appeal. Let's not forget, if AA's CVA is as dubious as it seems and they fail to adhere to it, it'll all go back to court again. The key is, the extent of how much HMRC know the extent of the financial irregularities Edited 5 August, 2010 by JackFrost
GenevaSaint Posted 5 August, 2010 Posted 5 August, 2010 HMRC can appeal again, thought I saw that would be tomorrow. Little point though I would guess.
Iowsaintsfan Posted 5 August, 2010 Posted 5 August, 2010 WTF - right im off to my boss to get paid by image rights from now on and not pay tax!
Saint-Reece Posted 5 August, 2010 Posted 5 August, 2010 what!? we dont pay tax we pay interest or worse, they dont they get away with it, B****cks to tax
trousers Posted 5 August, 2010 Posted 5 August, 2010 So, the British taxpayer is happy to lose 80% of c.£37m ?
Matthew Le God Posted 5 August, 2010 Posted 5 August, 2010 (edited) #pompey HMRC will not appeal their QC says 1 minute ago via Twitter for iPhone Thats the end of it pretty much. Apart from if they fail to meet the terms of the CVA in the next 4 years. Edited 5 August, 2010 by Matthew Le God
Saint_Ash Posted 5 August, 2010 Posted 5 August, 2010 If it was a proper business Pompey would've been put down a long time ago, how anyone can owe the taxman 30m and get away with it is unbelievable. The judge is a bottler, obviously the whining, crying and begging from the defence worked on him the soft bottler! Sickening. Can't wait to hear why the judge favours the cheats!
saintjay77 Posted 5 August, 2010 Posted 5 August, 2010 GuardianJamieJ #pompey judge mann offers one reason for his ruling as being 'commercial validity not football creditors rule.' less than a minute ago via Twitter for iPhone wtf does that mean? Im with master bates on not bothering to pay tax too. Didnt want them gone but I at least wanted them to do things properly. With the judge voting for HMRC it looks like that will never happen. I guess the appeal will be tomorrow then?
The Kraken Posted 5 August, 2010 Posted 5 August, 2010 I'm not at all surprised about the outcome, I knew they'd get away with it. Joke decision. So now its ok to rack up over £130M of debt with horrific management and get away with it. Good call.
trousers Posted 5 August, 2010 Posted 5 August, 2010 Silver lining.....Good stress test for the forum.....assume the bottle necks will be sorted before the new season starts??
