Pompey Takeover Saga

Is there some more money being transferred from Daddy to Chainrai ?.

This article dated this month says that Chainrai attempted to make Daddy bankrupt in March but they have come to a out of court settlement.

So does that mean more money heading to the Cheats from frozen bank accounts ?

The interesting thing is the link in the article fails, however as I found it via google I was able to get to the cache version and read it. (Google :- "gaydamak chainrai out of court tel aviv" and select the cache.

Arcadi Gaydamak has reached an out-of-court settlement with Balram Chainrai and Kital Holdings & International Development Ltd., following which the Tel Aviv District Court cancelled Chainrai and Kital's petition to declare Gaydamak bankrupt. In March 2010, the court accepted Chainrai and Kital's petition and issued bankruptcy warning against Gaydamak in the amount of NIS 90 million

Pompey are close to agreeing the £8m double sale of Nadir Belhadj and Prince Boateng to Lazio.

1. I don't see them getting that amount.

2. What little 'specials' did Storrie write into the original deals?

3. After all parties have had their cuts will they clear £4M?

4. Two prize assets sold for just one month's wages?

5. Will AA manage to shuffle any proceeds straight across to his puppet master?

6. Are Lazio interested in Pulis?...

I'll be amazed if there isn't a significant sell-on clause in Boateng's deal at least.

And probably a nice little wedge to Storrie's off shore bank account too. It wouldnt suprise me if Storrie steps in to scupper the deal before he gets himself further in the poopy poop.

Probably already been posted but does this guy actually think deals are done without using the Agents? Surly if he cuts them out they will get an arse on and speak to there players negitavly about the possible transfer and fook the deal up?

I would also have thought that their newly-appointed Chief Executive should be conducting the transfer deals now...

The Mail are reporting that Sunderland are close to signing John Utaka for £2m - it's just a one liner and it's the Mail so doubt there's anything in it.

What did AA / Storie think they was going to get for him

The figures I've seen offered are:

Boateng £3.3m

Belhadj £2.5m

Utaka £2.0m

That's £7.8m, so halfway to the target. Luckily, there's no firesale, so if they can manage to hang on to those 3, that will only be half of next season's total wages budget accounted for.

Oh, and I wonder who they'll sell to raise the other half of the target.

Lazio should agree to £8M but only give them £1.6M - and not until 2015.

It shouldn't be a problem as 20p in the pound is a rate that AA regards as fair.

A very reasonable suggestion.

Although it might mean them having to shelve those prestigious, some may say extravagant, others may say criminal, plans for that pre-season tour of the USofA.

Ah, but apparently they're not paying for that tour.

No change there then...

With their 'Storrie' contracts I expect £1.6m is the most that will actually arrive in the Fratton coffers.

You make a valid point though, if I was a club owing Pompey money i'd be offering them 20% for an early settlement.

Well laugh of the morning so far is in the Daily Mail where Cotterill is 'confident of persuading David James to stay' - slightly different to the headline of James is staying but there you go.

The Daily Star has a better balanced approach (never thought I'd ever say that) saying Fulham want him and although they want him to stay, they're in administration.

The BBC rumour column also has Lazio have only offered £5m for Belhadj & Boateng - apparently in the Star but I can't find the story. Had been previously reported (in the Mail) as £8m, but see above for how accurate they are likely to be.

I think you'll find that was Dindane who they were contracted to buy as a development of the loan deal (twice according to Storrie's version of events) but refused/didn't.

A bit like borrowing someone's car to go to the station and returning it a year later.

I'm sure AA tried to sell O'Hara to Spurs.

And they will have paid up, with all the little benefits that accompany such a deal!

The Sun are also running with this story. Pompey want them to double their bid. Belhadj at £3m and Boateng for £2m.

To be fair Boateng has looked good in this World Cup and a good performance against Uruguay would warrant a better price than £2m.

Thanks for the links Georgie this bit:

Portsmouth have told Lazio to double their £5m joint offer for duo Kevin-Prince Boateng and Nadir Belhadj.

(Daily Star)

Have the club, in administration really got the right to 'demand' anything?

Have to admit Boateng is looking more like a £5m player than a £2m player at the moment.

Mind you, only goes to show what a rubbish job all their managers actually did last season.

Depends on wages though - might be a £5m player on reasonable wages, but only £2m with extortionate wages. The wages pumpey paid were always going to be a stumbling block in selling players.

A bit late now. I think we can safely say that horse bolted the moment he left the FA to join Cheats FC.

Maybe but aa still seems to be doing the jobs lampit should be doing. Is lampit sitting back making sure his name is nothing to do with anything aa touches?

Actually your right. Just being at poopy when there in such a state has prob taken his career on a nose dive. Lol

Has Cotterill worked out yet that good though he may be he will cost him a quarter of his already optimistic wage-bill. (Allegedly $40/week I believe). Never mind, reality is out there with honesty and integrity as imponderable theoretical concepts on Portsea Island.

LOL at comment 11 - Storrie and prudent in the same sentance.

will they start bringing in new players from as early as monday now Maradona is free of international duties?

The CVA is all sorted and AA had an email from some Ukranian, so now that the final managerial piece of the jigsaw is in place i guess we can close the thread.
