Pompey Takeover Saga

I hope you're right or they could start next season with no points deduction, unless The Football League impose the deduction during the season if they come out of admin with no CVA.

How do they intend to fund the season if they're still in Administration, with their parachute payments hived off by the FL to pay the football debt? Seems AA is struggling to get them to the end of this season and only because Chanrai has funded it.

It says in the document that they want to protect their Academy status, yet, they owe significant money to KES, Cowplain School, HMS Collingwood, all academy venues that probably will not count as football debts.

The more you look at the list of creditors it seems amazing that more people have not taken them to court, there are a number of significant debts for local businesses. Difficult to defend that they have not been trading insolvently.

collingwood closed the gates on them about 2 months ago or so (not too sure if they are back)

they were also thrown out of HMS Dryad once before in the past too

Yes - Barry Hearne on Talksport

Bigger issue here - it is an offence to trade whilst insolvent - someone has been running this business, you can't get £100m in debt without knowingly trade insolvent. Other clubs are not livinbg in the real world - its cheating. Spurs beaten by a side who they couldn't afford.

The poor fans is just a smokescreen.

one thing though, it highlights other costs in running a football club...again with our spending I still cant imagine that we are breaking even..

anyway, they are cheating bastards

lots of differences like we do not have to rent pitches for our academy sides

of course..im not saying we have as many costs..

but when people claim we must be living within our means as our cup run and gate receipts add up to the same amount as the transfers is way too simplistic

I just hope we never go through that again

the saints fan on talksport made good points

talksport want pompey cut adrift, thrown out of the cup and made a proper example...I feel this will build and build..happy days

24,166 posts. 484 pages and finally the world catches up with us.

And yet on page 483, Florida Marlin posted perhaps the single most damning words of all.

Somebody should mail that to the Media.

FM, well done and thankyou

Spot on. I really, really enjoyed that post.

Stan Collymore on Talksport has continued to rip into them - £3m on image rights - for players who couldn't sell a teacup!!! Says someone should be looking into that (HMRC)

Mark Saggers - should they still be allowed to play in the cup final?

Mark Saggers & Danny Kelly agreed on the handover as they were both company directors, if it had been their companies, then they would be in jail by now.

They are!

Can we claim copyright on that? ;)

Haha, we should have - Stan Collymore appears to have been following this thread himself!?

"Which is it - £70m in debt as testified in court, or £120m and £50m worth extra of debt in the period since?"

One way or another, they have been proven insolvent.

lmao, who is this skate? lmfao!!!

"I paid £700, I feel cheated. If you punish Pompey, you punish the fans"

Was corrected and told that it is the creditors that have been cheated and the other teams who were outbid by Pompey, who had their finances in order...

Was double A on SSN?

Waiting for creditors to contact him to confirm monies owing (or not) and get accurate figure. Final debt to them could then go up or down. Says maybe accounts not updated by club properly where creditors have claimed to already have been paid.

He doesn't understand the Spurs/Begovic arrangement but is not surprised by it. Pompey will pay £1m only if they have an obligation to do so. Didn't give straight answer on whether this would be settled as football debt i.e. paid before unsecured creditors.

Denys inflating liabilities. Awaiting offer from Lloyd group within next few weeks. Other groups awaiting outcome of CVA.

He is mumbling so hard to understand him.
