Pompey Takeover Saga

This case appears to have been moved to Friday as well in Court 7 before JUDGE TESTAR.

? Does the "Order made under Contempt of Court Act 1981" refer to Storrie or the person below ?? (It looks like Storrie to my uneducated eye). Could it refer to that leaked email a couple of weeks ago ??

Henry Redknapp? :D

The genius that Chanrai hired as an administrator has informed the Portsmouth Supporters Trust of the level of debts and I quote:

2. What is the size of the debt?

Total debt now £100m, broken down as:-

£22m Football Creditors, £32m Gaydamak Trust, £5m Suliman Al Fahim, £18m Al Faraj, £5m General eg local traders, £17-18m HMRC (although £9m of this is disputed vat payment), £16-17m Football Creditors, £14m approx Portpin, £8-9m Football Agents.

Those economists amongst us may be able to spot the minor mathematical error, i.e. the above figures add up to around £138M.

Read more from the Q & A session here. The guys a buffoon and the Pompey Trust lapped it up...

....seat on the board, anyone?

Well, this article sums it up for me. Oh look...a 'neutral'.

http://www.newstime.co.za/rs_articles_contributors.asp?conid=17&recid=1615

Well well well, fancy that - a voice of reason orating what the majority are thinking, yet too PC to say themselves. Perhap this should be posted on POL so that they can see what the real neutrals are actually thinking, and it seems saying too. About time.

You have to love the fact they have a supporters club called 'PISA'

As in 'PISA'ing it up against a wall'?

Love the fact that Android will get down to more redundancies in the summer...nothing like 'cutting to the bone' is there Andy?

Sounds to me like he KNOWS he's around during the summer. If they were coming out of admin by the end of May......haha.

I bet they lapped it all up.

Premier league vote unanimously to extend parachute payments for relegated clubs from 2 years to 4 years.

This will be ratified at the AGM in June.

I thought the FL had to also put it to their members to ratify it, they certainly weren't happy with the idea.

is there a cut off point to this on going situation that will trigger another set of points deductions..?

I beleive it is end of May.

Nor did I...

Unlucky, life can be a bit ch sometimes.

Those minutes really are a pile of old guff, aren't they? It's hard to believe the skate fans just sat there and took it all in - scarcely a single tricky question asked, and all Andronikou's replies meekly accepted without demur. Forensic investigation is a difficult and lengthy process, don't you know...

From that pompey trust link...

"RG Asked if the prime aim is for PFC to be self sufficient? If so how would the debts also be paid back? AA Said that the CVA would take 4-5 years to clear."

Does this mean the creditors can make sure all pompey's future parachute money goes to them?

They are biggest load of guff I've ever seen...

Apart from the dodgy maths (not a great start for an administrator I know) there's a quality

He also realises the club has a social responsibility to the City of Portsmouth.

What social feckin' responsibility does he have? and

Liquidation is not an option as there are not enough assets.

Now this raises an interesting question - is he being deliberately stupid or is he not fully following the process by considering all of the options? He should not be in a position where he can increase the debts to try & trade out of this - although that appears to be what he is doing with the debts rising from £78m to the now stated £100m - which in reality would appear to be £137-140m from the figures given in these minutes.

They are taking cheating to a new level - the sad thing is that the PL are too busy feathering their own nest to control what is going on & the FA are now just a toothless lapdog. Let's just hope the FL still have their teeth to deal with them.

Que?

Oh i don't know, he seemed to appear during the takeover days and stuck his oar in both winding up Tony Lynham and commenting on how bad the Swiss situation could be.

In fact i seem to remember him not being happy with any of the situations (but was never critical of the photocopier salesman)

Guess i just put two and two together and got 58 ?? ;)

BTW, I am the real SS

Yes, when the fixtures are announced on 17 June. What chance Saints make the play offs, win them, and then on the first day go 20 points above the CHEATS?!

Quote from the Pompey trust meeting regarding season ticket prices:

"AA pointed out that money is needed to update the stadium."

Hmm, shame not much was done with all the money swilling around earlier. Still, some footballers were made very rich (let alone owners and directors...).

I had to laugh at this particular one:

8. What other irregularities have been uncovered?

No illegal irregularities yet uncovered.

It almost sounds as if he is expecting to uncover irregularities!

Whilst we know he will?

Brilliant blog.

From the bbc site Avram stated:

"The Premier League need to give us an award because we are playing as we play with a lot of injuries"

Any ideas what kind of award he deserves ?

150 fans at a Premier League game, surely this must be a new record for sh!tness of away followings for a PL game? I certainly never remember any team coming to SMS with less than several hundred.

Wigan of the South

Accrington of the south!

Don't look if you have a delicate disposition.

A taster.....................

''The club [Lens] have now agreed to let him play in the final, because they think it would be a good showpiece platform for him to get a move,'' Pompey administrator Andrew Andronikou told Soccernet. ''But Portsmouth's feeling is that he needs to play in the other games leading up to the final and he needs to be totally match-fit to play against Chelsea. I have made a last ditch attempt to find some rational ground between us.
