SOS POMPEY!

Portsmouth Fans United For Their Club

Pompey fans demand independent inquiry into Pompey finances

“NO STITCH UP, NO TO CHANRAI!”

SOS Pompey wishes to express their utter disbelief at Administrator Andrew Andronikou's claim that the clubs debts are now at £100m. How can the debts now be £40m higher than the original estimate when, by the administrators own admission no investigation has begun? Just three days earlier his co-administrator Michael Kiely told fans the debts were £78m. Where did £22m debt come from in 3 days?

Peter Storrie’s latest admission that he suspected Pompey’s funding came from fugitive criminal and money launderer Arkadi Gaydamak directly contradicts what he said at the time. Storrie has NO PLACE at Portsmouth Football Club. The administrators should dispense with his services immediately. His presence at the Football Club while ex-employees are signing on the dole is yet another stain on our club. Shame on you Mr Storrie, shame on you.

Mr Andronikou has talked up the possibility of Balram Chainrai remaining as the owner because he “ticks all the boxes”. This is nonsense – he has not passed the Fit and Proper Persons Test and fans polls show up to 85% would boycott the club if he remained in charge. Most of all, the Premier League, the fans of Pompey, the whole world want him to explain his links to the shadowy clique who really ran Pompey behind the flimsy cover of Ali Al Faraj, a clique he has known and done business with since well before his involvement with Pompey.

We want to know how fraudster Danny Azougy was allowed to run the club for four months, who appointed him, who he worked with and what he did.

The failure to even start an investigation into the clubs finances at a time when newspapers are full of allegations of all kinds of impropriety is a scandal.

We will not stop until we get answers. We demand a full, independent investigation into all financial transactions at Pompey over the last four years.

“NO HIDING PLACE FOR THE PEOPLE WHO RUINED POMPEY!”

Ends

To be fair, fans like this are hurting and probably realise that stirring this up will cost their beloved club in doing so.They want not only justice for themselves but football as a whole.

I have asked for justice to be served and if this fan helps it happen then good luck to him.

Looks like Owusu-Abeyie is off (some Middle-Eastern deal that was - they managed to shed a loanee - well done AA)

http://www.imscouting.com/global-news-article/Quincy-Owusu-Abeyie-leaves-Portsmouth-for-Qatar/6817/

But the bad news it appears they are close to be able to keep Dindane for the rest of the season

In fairness if it was us we would probably feel the same. Less we forget many boycotted going to games whilst Lowe was in charge. I also suspect the poor attendances and semi final interest is a reflection of SOME of their fans refusing to support a corrupt regime.

However, the Administrator should be answering those questions and I suspect that the author of that article realises that even the Administrator is part of the corruption and hence the frustration.

I also suspect that a lot of their fans realise that liquidation may be preferable than this slow and painful demise with no money, no buyers and the liklihood of further points deductions that will guarantee further relegations.

Lens want to get the transfer sealed and are also prepared to allow Dindane to play on for Pompey for the rest of this campaign if the Blackburn deal is done and the paperwork is in place.

Rovers are also generously prepared to accept the arrangement and let Dindane play again for Pompey - as long as they are covered if he is injured.

But if he plays for pompey and gets injured, how much does it cost them?

£4 million? £more?

Let him play and I am sure 'arrys lot will increase thier woes.

I am losing count ... how many fit players have they got... :smt039

I think Palace only got deducted the standard 10, and IIRC they've been in admin before.

The second points deduction is for failing to agree a CVA. 15 points for Leeds as it was their first time, 17 for Bournemouth and Rotherham as it was their second and 20 for Luton as it was their third.

Surely they'd just need to pay for loan fee, wages & premium insurance cover (so that Rovers get c. £4m in the event of perminant injury).

Isn't that the (regularly ****ed, cant remember his name) ex President of Russia to the right of MM?

Boris Yeltsin?

Famed for overseeing corruption, economic collapse and social problems within the Russian Federation.

With these credentials would fit in well down the road!!

no.3 keeper Niemi on £14K a week?!

Fair play to him, that must have been more than when he was playing in the Premier League prior to his first retirement.

He can't be accused of not doing his bit to bring them down.

Tomorrow will be interesting as whatever wind-ups are printed, they can't be funnier than the everyday news we've seen for the last six months.

Thankfully everyday is practical joke day to the east.

Think you'll find it's Terry Brady, father of Karren and another former p***ey director.

It is! Their Directors box has been like an illicit den of dodgy characters for so many years. The boardroom must be like one of those secret rooms above East End London pubs.

Has Sullivan not heard about football investors from Dubai?

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/mar/30/david-sullivan-west-ham-united

Still he could look to Saudi for someone with experience of running a Premier League club, who is free of such ties!

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/mar/30/ali-al-faraj-portsmouth

And another tale of "wealthy" owners coming to the rescue.....

Well, there's 2 who will be staying on the wage bill then (unless the club gets wound up of course).

Hreidersson is out of contract, although I think there was a clause in his contract similar to David James whereby he gets another year if he plays X number of games. I wonder if like James, Hreiderson may have renegotiated.

Webber has another year, so he'll be there. Aren't wages covered by insurance if they get injured though?

Given it's april 1st tomorrow, I think we should all see which rumour we can make up for them down the road to fall for. No what mega rich owners do you think could 'come to their rescue....'

Good point, have any uber-yachts been tracked heading towards the Solent region lately?

Is there a third Al-Farage brother?

Did Storrie's Australian adventure result in a profitable meeting with Mick Take, property tycoon and barbeque magnate?

Has Marc Jackson secured the backing of.... well, anyone?

Has Fred Dinenage gathered a consortium of Blue Knights?

Surely only if the player is out for an extraordinary length of time or has to retire. Can't see insurance covering wages every time someone picks up a minor injury, the premiums would be horrendous. Don't forget out of that six month period they wouldn't be playing anyway because of the close season.

Rob Lloyd doing well I see;)

Eatonfield just released their interim results for the six months ending 31 December. Doesn't make encouraging reading. A £5 million loss for the period and revenue down from Dec 08. With the imminent announcement of their results the share price was picking up but now these figures are released it's into free fall again.

Probably mentioned on here before but in todays Sun that Niemi has been given the boot.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/2914267/Antti-is-shipped-out-of-Pompey.html

At least he made them half a mill worse off while he was there.

Isn't it ridiculous that he probably earned more in a week at Pompey this season, after he'd been retired for a year through injury, than he did at the height of his playing powers for us.

Shocking. But great job Antti:D

Blackburn set to purchase Dindane for £2m and lend him to Pompey for rest of season, thus allowing him to play for Pompey in the cup and revive his World Cup hopes. Pompey paid a loan fee of £500k of which half will be refunded as compensation, thus giving them a welcome quarter million windfall.

Can they do that? Do Lens have permission to sell outside of the window? Can Pompey register new loanees at this time of the season?

makes you wonder why pay £2m now and allow your asset to play for another team.

Is Dindane is any good, he does not need to pay in a few matches to improve his world cup hopes

How about Pompey play him one more time triggering that sell on clause. Lens agree to write off £2.25m and accept £1.75m. Pompey sell on a back to back basis to Blackburn for £2m. All legal.

Probably cost Blackburn the whole £4Million in the summer? What I don't get is why the Skates get compensation on the loan fee, when this is all done to help them out.
