PaulSaint Posted 30 August, 2009 Posted 30 August, 2009 No, not Niemi, some unknown with about 18 consanants in his name. He's this minute just picked Adabeyors header out of the net
benjii Posted 30 August, 2009 Posted 30 August, 2009 BBC has Citeh's possession as 60%. Hopefully they can turn this into a rout in the second half. Pompey could have done with James in goal today.
The Majestic Channon Posted 30 August, 2009 Posted 30 August, 2009 Plenty of empty seats in the home sections as usual, god they got **** support.
S-Clarke Posted 30 August, 2009 Posted 30 August, 2009 Plenty of empty seats in the home sections as usual, god they got **** support. don't be silly, they've got the bestest support in the history of the premier league. corp and thierry henry said so
70's Mike Posted 30 August, 2009 Posted 30 August, 2009 Plenty of empty seats in the home sections as usual, god they got **** support. Also very quiet , ever since the Milton End was given a roof the away support has matched the Fratton End, still they will soon have a new ground, training complex, caravan park and supermarket, if corp is right
benjii Posted 30 August, 2009 Posted 30 August, 2009 Plenty of empty seats in the home sections as usual, god they got **** support. Decided to watch the second half in the hope of a goal from Bridgey! You're right, there's loads!
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 30 August, 2009 Posted 30 August, 2009 Cannot believe their new owner is wearing a Pompey shirt, a Pompey cap and sat with the fans...CRINGEWORTHY!
benjii Posted 30 August, 2009 Posted 30 August, 2009 Cannot believe their new owner is wearing a Pompey shirt, a Pompey cap and sat with the fans...CRINGEWORTHY! I don't think he can afford one of their "posh" seats.
Crab Lungs Posted 30 August, 2009 Posted 30 August, 2009 They are so ****ing rubbish now I actually enjoy watching them.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 30 August, 2009 Posted 30 August, 2009 Atmosphere is a joke today at farrton.....best fans and all that should mean they could make loads of noise but all we hear is the retard with the bell. Empty seats......lol
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 30 August, 2009 Posted 30 August, 2009 Also very quiet , ever since the Milton End was given a roof the away support has matched the Fratton End, still they will soon have a new ground, training complex, caravan park and supermarket, if corp is right What on earth do you mean by saying if Corp is right? He is never wrong :---), as we have all learned, also never going missing when what he has told us comes to . . . . err . . . fruition?
RedAndWhite91 Posted 30 August, 2009 Posted 30 August, 2009 They're here, they're there, they're every-****ing-where, empty seats, empty seats.
S-Clarke Posted 30 August, 2009 Posted 30 August, 2009 They looked completely and utterly clueless and out of their depth in an attacking sense. i know we can't say much at the moment, but it's still funny watching them.
Verbal Posted 30 August, 2009 Posted 30 August, 2009 Distin really knows how to leave a sinking ship - give it an extra puncture below the waterline. Still, you can hardly blame him. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/New-Everton-signing-Sylvain-Distin-fears-for-Portsmouth-future-article135947.html
Red Alert Posted 30 August, 2009 Posted 30 August, 2009 I thought they were unlucky. Wish Citeh were given a penalty for the challenge in the last couple of mins on SWP just to see Bridgey smash it home.

Still, you can hardly blame him. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/New-Everton-signing-Sylvain-Distin-fears-for-Portsmouth-future-article135947.html I found if funny on Soccer Saturday yesterday they had loads of fans asking him to stay he said he's going no where then 24hours later signed for Everton
The Majestic Channon Posted 30 August, 2009 Posted 30 August, 2009 Attend: 17,826 :badgrin::badgrin::badgrin:
Saints foreva Posted 30 August, 2009 Posted 30 August, 2009 Was it me or did City have more tickets than the usual away teams get?
benjii Posted 30 August, 2009 Posted 30 August, 2009 Attend: 17,826 :badgrin::badgrin: **** off pony boy. We won the League 50 years ago and it's the holiday season plus it's like £40 or something and there's a recession y'know. We're massive and if we were in League One we'd get more than you because our attendances would actually go up because evryone knows it would be cheaper, that's why we need a 100,000 mega-ground. etc.....
SOTONS EAST SIDE Posted 30 August, 2009 Posted 30 August, 2009 Filled the ground then with that 17,826! Best supported club! lol :smt040

I happen to know a section manager in one of the institutions approached, a Chelsea fan. Skates on here won't have it though, but we've been spot on so far regarding it all. They are as fu cked as they were before but instead of owing Standard Bank they owe A.N. Other. The gun runner got his money though, he made sure of that.
benjii Posted 30 August, 2009 Posted 30 August, 2009 If true it doesn't make good reading if you are a skate: http://dralfahim.blogspot.com/2009/08/leveraged-takeover-by-al-fahim.html It's almost certainly true. I don't think anyone seriously believes Fahim paid off the bank debts do they? He either refinanced with borrowings from elsewhere or he renegotiated terms with the existing lenders. Either way Pompey are geared to buggery and have minimal income and cash reserves. I think if he had cleared the debts and reduced their gearing we would have heard about it by now from the horses' mouth! The lack of official comments (ie Fahim, PFC) on the detail of the deal speak more than any blog or media speculation.

Nice one.

WestSaint Posted 31 August, 2009 Posted 31 August, 2009 Interesting that Barclays were so accommodating to Portsmouth but not to us !
aintforever Posted 31 August, 2009 Posted 31 August, 2009 "The motives behind Gaydamak’s decision to pull the plug on the deal appear to bring into question who actually owned the club in the first place." If it turned out that the club was owned by Gaydamak Snr would the Premier League take any action? They basically took the **** out of their Fit and Proper Person test, surely a points deduction would be appropriate?
benjii Posted 31 August, 2009 Posted 31 August, 2009 "The motives behind Gaydamak’s decision to pull the plug on the deal appear to bring into question who actually owned the club in the first place." If it turned out that the club was owned by Gaydamak Snr would the Premier League take any action? They basically took the **** out of their Fit and Proper Person test, surely a points deduction would be appropriate? If Gaydamak Snr was the owner then I think a demotion would be appropriate. Not only may they have broken rules but, if they did so they did it deliberately and with continued and prolonged deception. The money that was not fit and proper was used to tarnish forever in the annals of history the world's formost domestic club cup competition and has deprived another bigger club of a place in the Premier League. They should be demoted a league and forced to start the next season with a points deduction. Mind you, I won't mind for one minute if they're not as watching them implode this season might be funnier.
equalizer Posted 31 August, 2009 Posted 31 August, 2009 First time I've been able to post since watching their match yesterday! Firstly how cringeworthy was it to see their fans having their photo's taken with their new owner? It was so laughable seeing them clamber for autographs I nearly choked on my pint! I mean ffs if I saw Markus Leibherr I would shake him by the hand thank him for buying the club and that would be it, I wouldn't want his autograph nor would I want my photo taken with him! He's an owner ffs not a star striker. Then he sat in the stands in the second half, lol, what a tw*t! Loved it when the commentator said they'd managed to find him a seat in the stand, I mean be fair he only had a choice of 3000! Looks like they've got their very own arab Rupert Lowe!

What I see is a seriously rich young man getting very enthusiastic about owning PFC and with what sounds like a sensible business plan for it. That has to be good thing doesn't it ? Those hankering for Storrie's alternative takeover have to remember they had all summer to step in if they really wanted it, and in any case were never ever going to succeed because Sacha would never sell to them. SAF was the only serious potential buyer in town and we should be grateful for him saving us from administration. Even if he turns out to be a rubbish owner we should always be grateful that he was here right now." ...lol
