dubai_phil Posted 2 March, 2010 Posted 2 March, 2010 How are the Skates getting another meeting regarding selling players outside the window tomorrow? Disgrace... if ever there was a perfect example of insolvency, this is it.... That is now taken as confirmed, hence why Admin, who by law has to dispose of anything of any value to pay off the debts. He needs to ask the PL how that can be be done. 38mil - Don't you love Storrie teller. Hope he did not put that in the SoA
Channon's Sideburns Posted 2 March, 2010 Posted 2 March, 2010 HMRC is questioning timing of Chainrai's 'charge' (securing his debt) on PFC. It came on 7/1, after WUP started on 23/12. Bit iffy 1 minutes ago via txt 2nd headline: HMRC challenging value of Fratton Park. Is it Chainrai's £10m (competing 18/2/11!) or book value of £7.8m? 5 minutes ago via txt 1st big headline: last week Storrie revalued squad from £21m to £38m, contrary 2 normal practice but based on his 21yr experience! 10 minutes ago via txt ALL FROM BBC TWITTER FEED.
Liquidshokk Posted 2 March, 2010 Posted 2 March, 2010 It sounds like the only reason they havent been put to sleep is because "they are a well loved club" and they "have lots of history" Any other company in any other industry would have folded by now, regardless of how big the name is. It does grate on me.
hutch Posted 2 March, 2010 Posted 2 March, 2010 as I pointed out earlier it will give Pomey time to catch up their 5 points adrift. Then watch the PL get its knickers in a twist. Pompey will get out of it Works every time
badgerx16 Posted 2 March, 2010 Posted 2 March, 2010 There seem to be a few ( comparatively ) intelligent and informed skates commenting on the snooze - and most seem to be a bit worried
dune Posted 2 March, 2010 Posted 2 March, 2010 LOL if players aren't all sold the total debt is £86 mil.
View From The Top Posted 2 March, 2010 Posted 2 March, 2010 How are the Skates getting another meeting regarding selling players outside the window tomorrow? Disgrace... if ever there was a perfect example of insolvency, this is it.... It's in the EPL rules regarding administration. What the skate bast(a)rds want to do is sell players now but then loan them back to the skate bast(a)rds for the remainder of the season.

hutch Posted 2 March, 2010 Posted 2 March, 2010 SSN - value of players put at £21 million. story teller said £38m HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I'm sure the difference, this time, really is entirely coincidental.

It does grate on me. Of course HMRC are playing that card to have the holy and the righteous on their side. Christ they might even convince a few skates that this isn't a vindictive witch-hunt, but there is a public interest in the HMRC unearthing all the bodies. Go for it i say.
SO16_Saint Posted 2 March, 2010 Posted 2 March, 2010 I feel HMRC are building up to something. a big burp?

Red Alert Posted 2 March, 2010 Posted 2 March, 2010 Mr Mitchell said they need evidence of the validity of the appointment of administrators. 'We just want the court to determine that issue on the evidence. They may have satisfied themselves but there may be issues that they have not put their minds to.' If this is a direct quote, sounds as if HMRC might be floundering in there a little bit. Not a strong concise point that I want to be hearing from them.

dubai_phil Posted 2 March, 2010 Posted 2 March, 2010 PMSL - surely the News Feed Comments section has been hacked by Saints Fans I find myself cheering HMRC on I am begining to Like Mr Mitchell And the comment about the appointment "There may be issues that they have not put their minds to..." Which is Lawyer speak for FAIL
StuRomseySaint Posted 2 March, 2010 Posted 2 March, 2010 On another note, we are now on almost 19,000 posts, which is more than Pompeys average attendance this season.
Wibble Posted 2 March, 2010 Posted 2 March, 2010 He's being EXTREMELY selective on what he puts up. None of mine have appeared yet. Mine got ignored until this one "Full investigation into all financial dealings between owners is going to result in huge points deductons next season if winding up doesn't happen first!"
Matthew Le God Posted 2 March, 2010 Posted 2 March, 2010 [Comment From Ian ] @Stuart - Belhadj - £5m+, Boateng - £7m+, Piquionne - £5m, Utaka - £3m+, Wilson £3m+ = £23m alone Dreamland Also I'd like to see how they get £5m for a player on loan.

On the contrary: I read it that HMRC are suggesting that they [pfc/bc etc] don't know what they're doing.
