Pompey Takeover Saga

I know this was asked back when we were in Admin, but how long can you be in Admin before you fold? Also, dont the FL not allow you start the season under Admin?

You can stay in admin as long as you can pay the administrator, but you must convince the FL that you are able to fulfil your fixtures.

More interestingly, you have to have your CVA by the end of this season to avoid starting next season with the penalty. June is no good

Come on guys, remember when we were in Admin?

It's not nice. Bit of respect please.

Rich

We went into Admin with a mortgage and a single overdraft to Barclays which only became a problem because they cut it from £6m to £4.4m. We didn't owe anybody else anything

PFC are taking HMRC (that's all tax payers) for nearly £20m (you could fund several schools or a small hospital for that) and local business for even more.

But don't worry, Chainrai and the football creditors will get their money and those guys will probably still end up quids in

It's not so much that it's Pompey that is making peoples blood boil (though I don't doubt it helps!), it's been their blatant disregard of the rules for so long, and all the fans were well aware they were being funded with blood money

In order to have a rivalry you need 2 teams. Only an idiot want to wipe them off the face of the earth IMHO. I remember how I felt - powerless whilst the money men messed our club up. This site is characterised by the rat pack mentality, essentially brainless people with too much time on their hands following the lead of others, loads of examples spring to mind, of Pardew needing to be sacked after 6 games, the team should be in the playoffs etc etc , it is all falling apart.

That's not to say there aren't bright people on here....

I am glad they have gone into admin, but I would like them to come out of it. So we can resume the rivalry and take our rightful place :) The atmosphere was fantastic a few weeks ago when we met in the cup, who wouldn't want to have that kind of atmosphere/rivalry?

I'm convinced that Chainrai is working with/for Gaydamak.

Keeping all of al Mirage's people in place, and now the 'Phil Hall' stuff.

If I'm right, Gaydamak has been keeping the club alive, by limping from owner to owner. As most of the debt is his anyway, and if he can somehow free up the cash, might not he, or another of his puppets, somehow emerge as the saviour from admin?

Perhaps Pompey's fate will be determined by the outcome of Gaydamak's next court appearance (does anyone know the date?).

Certain to be relegated and almost certain to start next season on -15 as the tax man won't agree to the CVA most of the players are going to have to go so hopefully at the end of next season we will pass them as they fall into league 1. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch, fingers crossed they won't go out of existence.

Fair point, Nick.

But PES and Corp aren't the a-typical Pompey fan - they have something about them that makes them 'normal'!

Don't talk rot. Apart from the fact they are cheats and totally disrespected our club, they will come back in some form and will always be our rivals even if they are in the Blue Square South.

Administration

A formal procedure where an Administrator can be appointed by either the directors, shareholders, floating charge holder, or the court for the purpose of rescuing the company as a going concern or achieving a better result for the creditors than would be achieved otherwise or simply to realise assets in order to pay secured or preferential creditors. In this procedure, the assets of the company are quite often sold to new owners [sometimes the former directors] so that a turnaround can be implemented. In the ideal scenario jobs are saved and returns to creditors are enhanced. Administrations must be concluded within 12 months.

I don't want to see them out of business but i do want to see them hurting and hurting hard.

Starting again in the BSP would be nice, i had no relief from the abuse i took from the blue few ffs.

Also, i don't get how some of the fans txting in to SSN and that eccentric looking pr*ck MP Hanc*ck can honestly blame the PL for not helping ???

From the outside they have done all they can to not look objective and favouring the PFC case, ok, they failed miserably with the FAPPT but hey ho.

This started under gayman and satchel face, they overpaid and bought the FA cup, all of that has consequences.

So now we wait!!. If and when some of the top earners have their contracts torn up, the loanies go back (I hope), they will be a very weak team indeed. Mayhap then, other teams who have played them and lost (Liverpool!!!), make take the PL to task, as they will be giving teams yet to play them, a big advantage.

Personally, I think this storrie:D has yet to finish. HMRC will be seething, I fully expect a legal investigation of the shenanigans that has taken place. I wouldn't want to be in Storries shoes come his day in court, or twitchy either.

The assumption that Pompey is our great rival ignores the history of our club and is, IMHO, just plain wrong.

Pompey were never our rivals, in my lifetime, nor anyone elses. Our true rival for many years was Manchester United and that fact just shows how far we have fallen. The good thing is, I can see, again in my lifetime, that rivalry resuming...

...and Pompey. My feelings towards them at the moment are pretty close to the feeling I have when I scrape dog sh !t off my shoe. Glad to be rid and my only concern is the lingering smell...

Devaud said Gaydamak and Falcone had built a "secret organization" with multiple fictitious enterprises to hide the flow of money resulting from the debt renegotiation, to the detriment of Angola and the Russian Federation

Two Skates talking in the work lift this morning. One reckoned they'd win the FA Cup and admin would wipe the slate clean, he seemed to think it was a good time to be a Pompey fan.

To top that, one of them reckoned with the pressure off they would win the next 12 games & actually stay up!

Weird really the rivalry thing.

I've been a season ticket holder since I was 8, nearly 32 years (Christ!)

I always felt that PFC had a rivalry with us but we didn't have much of one with them. I remember not that long ago people suggesting that our local derby being against Tottenham because PFC weren't our level (or something like that)

Is it more a one way thing or is it just a case of the lower league team hating the higher more and so the rivalry has returned in the last few years?

Maybe that is why Bournemouth fans aint keen on us?

hmmmmm - ok, philosophical moment over, back to the skate hate

:D

I'm surprised the term `attacked' has not been used by Peter Tells Storries. I mean someone questioning him to his face has the potential to be much more painful than the paper cut he might have got from the tenners the Saints' fan was waving at him.

agreed, have they not helped them enough by handing PFC about £90M+ over the last three years?

I take no pleasure in seeing Portsmouth enter administration. Rivalry is one thing. Hatred is another. I don't care if some of their fans were joyous about our situation. 'Some' is the operative word here. There's no anti-moron requirement for supporting a football club.

Also, it's a bit pitiful that even when we're playing teams in the far flung north, we're still letting the rivalry define what people sing. We hate Pompey? In Oldham? Please.

Frankly, I couldn't give a toss what they're up to unless they're actually playing them. Rivalry is at home when the teams are competing, but the unhealthy obsession of anti-fans outside of that context.

Pancake, Richard, TwentyTwenty

I feel for the normal fans I know who support Pompey, then there are the "it was worth it all for the cup brigade" or the "who cares where the money is coming from" lot. I don't shed a tear for either of those groups of "fans". Unfortunately fort Pompey fans, it's a typical cycle for them, boom and bust. If they'd have tried a little more seriously to rebuild Fratton maybe they wouldn't be in this situation now. Life in the premier league with 20k is just not substainable in the long term. But no, they spunked 131m on wages in three years!

Now tell me that Chainrai choosing the administrator - and paying his bill!!!! - is a good thing for PFC.

For a club run by fraudsters/conmen//corruption, take your pick and a set of fans that were more than happy to go along with this.

Someone posted a picture of Limbless Angolians that have had thier lives ruined by landmines that were sold illegally by the likes of A.Gadymank.

The same A.Gadymank who's money was funding Portsmouth FC.

Not to many of their fans seemed to concerned how they were being funded when the FA Cup was being paraded around their sh1tty.

Then you call us the brainless ones. For me its been a dissapointing day, I wanted to see them go to the wall and hope they still do.
