Clapham Saint Posted 19 August, 2009 Share Posted 19 August, 2009 that looks a cobbled together deal. Why does Dein want to get mixed up with those 2? And why keep Dr Al involved? He doesn't (or so it seems) have any money. He's wasted MONTHS of their time. He has been to 1 football match in his life. What does he actually bring to the table? Unless of course DD is providing the funds to take them through until Dr Al's bonus arrives to fund the champions league push?

mack rill Posted 19 August, 2009 Share Posted 19 August, 2009 Why so obsessed with the Skates? In case you hadn't noticed, we could well be relegated by Xmas and Bournemouth could well go above us next season. But it's not the size that matters if each member only wants to put a fiver in. Basically if it's a big consortium it normally means that they want to spread th risk if their investment. Absolutely, You won't get any gloating from me. I did allude to internet rumours at the weekend and this now seems to justify certain ITKers who speculated a Mega Consortium including Holger Heims and his German Compatriots and a far eastern element too. But why oh why did they not do some really very basic research into his whole approach..?? I've watched naive Brits trying to do business down here for almost 17 years, everytime it ends the same way. insh'allah the funds will be processed when I receive my 100million bonus/new loan against tv income/my friend Thaksin gets his pardon... This emirate has been financially on the rocks since February, anybody with a half a brain would know that all local businesses, banks and Government Agencies are struggling for short term liquidity but are working to pull things around. Nobody, but nobody outside of Abu Dhabi was ever going to pump up a loan to buy a football club, and SBT already blew his sources down there with his look at me approach to the early days of the Man City takeover. It was just a car wreck waiting to happen. FFS MJ had more funding support than SBT Phil, so how DOES it work in the middle east? Two answers 1) yes 2) I consult at US 3k a day (and nobody EVER contracts me, until their second trip here) Oh, I also allegedly have a fairly in depth experience of football deals down here if that helps  Seriously.. It is REALLY difficult to explain, I have been trying to do it for about 15 years. There is one great book - "Don't They Know It's Friday?" which I once sent to all our US Board members. It is also difficult to try and explain to you lot in your PC world with your PC police. I try and give some very simplistic examples Standard sales technique in EU (that includes blighty for our friends down the road) is to show a customer a product and an ROI and build a BUSINESS CASE. Well that always fails as ROI doesn't compute here. Look at the finances of the Burj Al Arab - income will take 120 years to pay back the loans..... Down here they buy from their friends, or people that have been introduced to them "as friends". I once got kicked off a "Relationship Selling Technique" Course in Paris when I told the tutor he was talking non-PC carp So in simple terms, you guys in Europe are brainwashed (or programmed in corp speak) You are born, you will get married, have 2.4 babies, you will save for a pension, and you will die. It is a ticking time bomb in your head from day one. Deadlines, objectives etc.... Down here, that entire concept of time doesn't exist. You live, you are good, you go to a better place. EVERY driver and motivation that you use is out the window from the first powerpoint slide. If the "man" has not forbidden something then you can do it. You are infidels, so taking money from you lot is technically good so you go to heaven..... (although that is a bit unfair as they are cracking down in that stuff as I have shown!) Now that is HORRIBLY non-PC but again, that is an alien concept here. PC doesn't exist, what exists is RESPECT. We respect their ways they respect ours. Nobody has RIGHTS, only respect. The thing that shows it the most is the Burkini.... You have swimming pools ENFORCING Burkinis "in case you offend", down here the chicks go to the beach wearing BIKINIS.... You want to wear a bikini because of your culture they respect that, they want to go swimming in an Abaya, we RESPECT that... You ant to fook around while waering a Bikini - well that is disrespectful... So, you do business here driven by the will of "God", not ROI or threats or ultimatums... CB Fry Posted 19 August, 2009 Share Posted 19 August, 2009 (edited) Talk about irony. You post this in the middle of a 30 odd page thread with 46,000 (!) views about Pompey. And look at the amount of your fans from just the last couple of pages trawling Pompey websites and papers for news of anything blue. But my comment was about the besotted Pompey fans posting on this forum again and again and again. You are besotted with us. We're just having a laugh at our gigantic megaclub on our doorstep. We're the little guys jealous of Goliath down the road. But even when you tower over us you're still besotted with all things Saints. And you post on here, again and again and again. A Pompey supporter posting on a Southampton Football Club forum again and again and again is a weirdo. Saints fans on their own forum having a good old laugh about Pompey is normal. If you people want to take the mick out of a lower league football club on its uppers on your own forums then go ahead, but I won't be joining in to try and "win the argument" as one of you nutcases said you were trying to do on here the other day. "Win the argument". But really as a Premier League elite super power with a gigantic fanbase and European pedigree I have no idea why you would bother. Saints fans couldn't give two sh i ts about Pompey when you were nowhere for thirty years. As I said before - bunch of Freaks. In a muslim country, we wear swimwear to the beach, we don't offend. In fact it is quite normal to see a local family on the beach, the husband in shorts and the wife in a Burkini or even full Abaya. rallyboy Posted 20 August, 2009 Share Posted 20 August, 2009 You don't put a consortium together in a couple of weeks (unless you live with your mum). So Storrie has been working on something for a while.... That means it was not in his interests to see the fake Dr complete. One could suggest it was in Storrie's interests to undermine and slow the process. So has he been not just misleading fans but stalling the takeover as well, for his own personal gain? Mr Storrie and a cobbled together band of saviours are all looking for power and profit. But it remains very simple, they need one decisive voice with £200M to throw at it, it is the only way they can move forward, it doesn't matter what is said, it's money on the table time! Who would look after the £27M debt without a HUGE slice of the club in return? Al Fahim may have stalled on his funding but the profits from buying a fifth or sixth of the club aren't worth the risk. Liebherr wouldn't have bought half a club, he would lose control and profit potential, Pompey are in the last chance saloon and clutching at straws. Therefore even with a Story consortium takeover of several big-hitters, I see no bright future for them. The only indication that things are looking up will be someone delivering vast funds in the next ten days. If that doesn't happen I think we will see them soon. You knew all along that Storrie was getting a bid together but never stated anything, merely hinted that something, somewhere was on the way. You're not Mystic Meg are you? lol You disappear for weeks when made to look stupid or have no answer and now all of a sudden you knew all along about Pompey's takeover. You just happened to not be on this messageboard for two weeks and just happened to know about the Storrie bid but decided to not to tell us.. Are you that desperate to be seen as being important or ITK that you feel the desperate need to impress fans of your club's most bitter rivals? Talk about sad, needy and pathetic... Ok Ho, you are itk, we'll all really impressed, we all think you're very important and very interesting. At no stage are any of us laughing at you .... I am reliably told from a very important source that Saints will buy a player. He might be a defender, he might be a midfielder. He could be a striker. We will be buying but we could be loaning him as well. I will happen soon, or it might not.. What a muppet you are... lol
