Pompey Takeover Saga

If he was confident the club was about to be taken over would he come out and bash people or wait until it is done then basque in the glory? He is obviously feeling the pressure, nobody is believing his words anymore, the media are having a field day with him. So for trying to make it out he has done a good job he deserves

He may know about middle east business etiquette - how would that help him know what's going on in a deal with south africans and someone based in hong kong? My friend at the club has had nothing to do with the negotiations between this latest group and the club and isn't there today so unfortunately no details available.

What day does the cleaner work then... ??? This deal has been sprouted about all week ..Lets just face the facts here nobody wants PFc and they can't even give it away ....mind you 10% of a POUND is not the biggest give away is it ????

Look everyone, Phil's ITK.

Or is pretending to be ITK but won't actually say what's causing the problem because he doesn't really know. And would then look a ****. :smt033

Come on then Phil, what is it.

s'up Ho? Something to get off your chest?

Surely you've had closure by now?

Ho, I will try and be courteous because I can understand your desperation as I went through the same rollercoaster a year ago.

Phil does have some very good contacts and his info is not just about ettiquette. In fact he has been spot on.

As much as we have had our moments I feel for the decent Pompey fans and i will be happy if you as a club have some pain and below us but the Storries of this world get a much worse punishment.

as the end appears to draw closer, I was wondering if we should have a collective effort at getting Peter Storrie a Queen's honour.

Along the lines of services to the local community (ours as opposed to theirs, but who cares?)

Peter Storrie, OBE, services to (one team in) Hampshire football?

Afterall, our blue friends gave the freedom of Portsmouth to Mr Redknapp, it would only seem fitting to me.

Apparently all you have to do is fill in the forms online.

HO,

Any news on when this is starting ??????????????

http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/stadium/Details-of-vision-begin-to.4203042.jp

:D:D:D

According to the designers web site its all due to start...

http://www.detail.de/artikel_herzog-stadium-portsmouth_22641_En.htm

All is not lost mate, The Fratton Park redevelopment is still on.:D

Fratton Park

The current stadium site will be transformed into a huge housing and shopping development.

About 200 low-rise homes at a maximum of four storeys high will be built where the pitch and terraces are currently. These are expected to meet the club's affordable housing requirement.

The car park near the Pompey Centre is earmarked for retail development, although the club has said this will be in keeping with the area and not high-street fashion stores.

The club plans to keep Victorian parts of the stands and incorporate them in the new development of family homes.

It will also keep part of the Fratton park pitch for use as a children's play area.

Sellar's development director Barry Ostle said: 'We have never been interested in developing high-rise blocks of flats that seem to pop up on every corner of Portsmouth.'

Had a chat with my skate mate last night.

He'd prefer this 'version' of PFC to go to the wall, if only to see Storrie et al get their just desserts.

On W******d - 'haven't met any Pompey fans who like him, apart from the young ones who follow him'

We always have good humoured banter, he didn't slaughter me last year so I won't start now.

It's just the moany, whiny, hoity toity, namby pamby, wishee washee, fishy ones I can't stand..... oh its the Premier League's fault....

No. Blame Storrie if anyone. HE RAN THE SHOW. END OF.

Talks ongoing, says Harry Harris.

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=745769&sec=europe&cc=5901

Also says future to be decided in "next 48 hours". Oooooo

I can just about believe 1 lot are interested but 3 or 4. I did read somewhere that some people will express an interest just to see the books before administration so they can be ready to see what may be there when they are in admin.Kind of dummy runs

"Sources representing both Pompey and owner Balram Chainrai and Pompey have insisted it is "premature" to suggest that Chainrai is now preparing for administration after prospects of a South African consortium's takeover stalled."

??? That surely has got to be the same person...Jackanory..I mean he is only an employee

Besides the South African group bidding for control,
Soccernet
has been told: "There are three or four interested parties they are talking to and the talks will go on through the night and then continue tomorrow."

Besides 'show us the money' what exactly can they be spending so long talking about?

I think Storrie's line was blown wide open this morning on 5Live sports reports where he was quoted as saying he was "hopeful" of the deal being done later today. For Chr*st's sake, what is this bloke on ?

You're "hopeful" when the postman calls and there might be a few cards on your birthday.

You're "hopeful" that the wife won't have a headache tonight and you might get your leg over.

You're "hopeful" that the overhyped film you're going to see is actually any good.

You're "hopeful" that you might win a tenner on the lottery on Saturday.

You're "hopeful" that your train to work won't be delayed - again.

And so on and so on.

HOPEFUL ? BL**DY HOPEFUL !!!!????

This is a multi million pound deal we're talking about here with far reaching consequences if it doesn't come off.

And Storrie is "hopeful". What is he like ?:confused:

Love that Chainrai has insisted that the South African consortium showed proof of funds by lodging them with the banks.

Did he personally watch while they handed over a single Pound Coin, they should get change from that for Pompey. :D

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1252876/Revealed-Sulaiman-Al-Fahim-blasts-Portsmouth-board-explosive-resignation-letter.html?ITO=1490

So I read this as

Chairman of Football Club resigns because he refused to sign the SoA for the Court.

Should be an interesting day tomorrow. Will Chanrai have changed his tune after his weekend coup? Will the Yarpies get jet lagged staying up so late talking or did they mean someone else?

G'night all sleep well few... It was all being sorted today so you can rest easy

Soon

Maybe

Or not

“There has not been one board meeting since Ali al Faraj took over the club. How can you run a club like that, without real board meetings? Discussions between the various parties are not the same thing.”

There is a good reason why a billionaire as shrewd and business-minded as Sir Richard Branson took a cursory look at saving Portsmouth and before you could say 'Play up Pompey' decreed that any involvement by him was "less likely than likely".

Shame really...would love to have seen a Virgin linked to Portsmouth. Would have been a first.
