Danbert Posted 19 October, 2016 Share Posted 19 October, 2016 Careful now. Didn't you know that the draw achieved by the plucky minnows of the previous football club is considered one of their greatest achievements down at the smelly end of the m27? Secretly they hated it. As they know, League 2 is just better than European football, it's closer to jumpers for goalposts and further from prawn sandwiches.

TopGun Posted 22 October, 2016 Share Posted 22 October, 2016 Oh dear oh dear oh dear... Pompeyinsurrey No surprises at all today, that was exactly what I'd expect from Paul Cook. Yes we had bad decisions go against us but that doesn't hide the fact that Cook is an utterly useless scouse tw of the highest order. 5 defeats now, dreadful stuff today and Cook is a dead man walking. JUST CLEAR YOUR DESK AND F OFF NOW YOU TOTAL NOB, you can't motivate what is actually the best squad on paper in the division to consistent performances and it is so obvious. Plymouth by comparison have an average team but a superb manager who will nearly always get 100 per cent of every player most matches, no wonder they've won the league. Cook is just a ct who should have gone I thought after the Doncaster game. I was actually disappointed in a way that we got fairly decent results in the last 2 games as it meant he prolonged his time here. I actually couldn't care less now what happens this season, Paul Cook has destroyed any hope of promotion and the only chance of play off success is to kick the scouse ct out along with Smith and Forde. The Blues boss admitted Monday night’s draw was a disappointing one for his side, lacking the imagination of a trip to a non-league outfit. But with home advantage over the Chairboys – a team Pompey beat 4-2 at Fratton Park in League Two only last month, Cook is hopeful his side can navigate a path to a potential mouthwatering clash with Premier League opposition. He said: ‘Our league campaign is our bread and butter and nothing will detract from that. ‘But this is a competition we are going to take seriously – we can tell people that. ‘And for me it is all about getting to the third round. ‘We want to get there and get a great tie for our fans. ‘I would like to get our supporters that really glamorous tie so we can all have a great day and we go and give it a go. ‘I like the big games. As a manager I love big games – I don’t mind playing Southampton or Everton. ‘I would love a big game in the Cup. ‘I have no fear in that – our fans need that.’ To do so, though, the Blues will need to get the better of a tough Wycombe side and whoever potentially lies in wait in the second round. Cook, though, conceded it was a draw that failed to capture his imagination. He added: ‘I like the FA Cup for what it is. ‘Us playing Wycombe I don’t think is a great draw for both of us – I don’t think Gareth (Ainsworth) will be overly happy with it either. ‘It is a tough tie for us because Wycombe are a very strong side. ‘I would have liked to have played a non-league side. ‘I would have liked Eastbourne Borough away or Eastleigh – just for the whole Cup feeling. ‘I think that would have been good for the area. ‘Unfortunately we never got it and we have just got to get on with it.’ –

KK the 2nd Posted 24 October, 2016 Share Posted 24 October, 2016 View from a Notts County fan posted after the match ...? First visit to Fratton Park for me yesterday, and was quite looking forward to it. What a let down your dump was. Firstly, ask the stewards where the ticket booths were, wearing a Black and White shirt, so obviously I meant the away fans booth, but prat steward directs me to home fans booth, having to walk through gangs of "youths", who hadn't used their acne cream for some time. Arriving at said booth, was promptly directed to our booth, all the way back around the ground, again, "chatting" to your "crew" on the way. Atmosphere?? Nearly 18,000 in the ground, and all the atmosphere was generated by a couple of hundred Notts Fans, briefly interrupted by a limp wristed "Play Up Pompey" rendition every 20 mins or so. Is that your only song?? Quite an enjoyable time being threatened by 14 year old kids for 90 mins, all from the safety of their stand, guarded by stewards. Trying to get a drink before the game, only to be turned away for wearing a team shirt, thought those days had long gone?? Why doesn't your dump sell drinks inside the "stadium" ( ). Coming out of the ground, to be met by middle aged benefit cheats and called scum!! WTF is that all about? Won't bother with your place again. Thankyou for 3 easy points. p.s. Don,t even get me started on your cheating, disgraceful keeper. He should be ashamed of his antics.

JackanorySFC Posted 24 October, 2016 Share Posted 24 October, 2016 On the Ugly Inside site it's been posted that there are rumours coming out of Pompey that Alan Mcloughlin is still waiting for his testimonial money. He even mentioned that the money is due to go to Cancer Charities "when I finally get my monies through" (37minutes 40secs here: http://talksport.com/football/warm-podcast-max-rushden-sunday-october-23-161023214543) on the Max Rushden show on Talksport at the weekend. The game was in July and he's still waiting for it? I know they bounced some charities in their last admin but no excuse now? Maybe giving away all those season tickets for a fiver a game wasn't the best move now that cash flow has practically stopped? Bang out of order not paying an ex pro money (even more so when he's giving some/ all to charity) 3+ months on IMO.
