Pompey Takeover Saga

Probably to do with this: "In keeping with requirements of the Professional Footballers’ Association, 50 per cent of the transfer figure will go towards paying legacy debts."

They will try and fiddle the amount they need to hand over to the PFA.

Come on its Crawley! We ain't got no money no more - the best Poopey can hope for is a couple of rain sodden turfs from the pitch that's still drying out from last season

So this flea market seller still has ancient Skate stock that nobody wants to purchase. No surprise there really

I wonder how cheap their 2013/14 shirts will get on SportsDirect? I've just checked and at £9.59 (and having been at that price for at least 2 weeks) they still have:

Home shirt infant and junior sizes 12, 1-2, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13

Home shirt adult sizes S, M, L, XL

Plus numerous away, third, goalkeeper and training kit.

They must be chuffed about the booming market in size 3-4 kids' shirts though, assuming they ever stocked them. Same goes for the 2XL, 3XL and 4XL home shirts - though they do still have all of those in the away shirt, and all sizes except 4XL in the third kit.

In short, they still have bloody loads of them. At under £10. In all sizes. For all kits.

Going to the trouble of checking out the stock levels of their full replica kits is Nutjobbery above and beyond the call of duty!

The much-coveted PTS medal of honour will no doubt be on the way soon.

You can clean it every day - to fill all those hours that you obviously have spare! :)

This stuff is beyond parody. I wonder if they accept virtual money.

Indeed, I have it on good authority that I order to fox the taxman and once again be able to live beyond means they are evolving a virtual currency called South Hampshire Internet Transaction Coins or SH ITCOINS for short. They are untraceable and have no actual value and are therefore made for eachother.

Penalty spots are the new snow leopards.
to be fair there are only 2 Pompey penalty spots in the world wheras there must be 50 or so Snow Leopards. If you own the spot can you take it away and just leave a bit of mud where it is placed. If so I might go and buy it

If you won the penalty spot, could you charge them rent when they wanted to practice penalties.

And whats to stop them painting all of the lines one foot to the left and selling the new spot again? Or will they leave yours in place?

Something tells me that they're never going to stop doing this. There is no deadline, there'll always be something new to fix. If the roof leak gets really bad, the fat stops the pipes totally or the South Stand collapses the begging bowls will be out again. The community don't own Pompey, they just get to pay for it. Again, and again, and again, and again...

They can do it a thousand times, a million times even, it doesn't exist, except in their tiny little minds.

effing 'shares' - surely even the thickest of the thick must now be wondering how the property developers can keep on offering you new shares in something without diluting your existing share of fantasy ownership?

You can see why the prperty developers keep doing it, though. Every time they must think - surely nobody is that stupid, they'll tumble it this time - and lo and behold the Septic Isle dwellers fall for it all over again. It's like Groundhog Day all over again down there.

"With a catchment area that includes Guildford, Godalming, Woking and Farnham"

That can't be true, all their top hoolies like to bang on about how they're all working class heroes from "off the island". Surely they don' t want to be associated with all those hoytie-toyties from the rural stockbroker belt?

Just for the record, the Infant Skate shirts are £4.99 and the kids' kits are £6.99.

They have now sold out of Goalkeeper shirts in L and XL for the home and away kits - still got every outfield size up to XL though, despite the UP TO 80% OFF sale.

Re: Poke - since leaving Saints in 2010 he's played once for Brighton in the League Cup, played 8 times for now non-League Bristol Rovers on loan, and 57 times for now non-League Torquay, though not for the last 2 months of their relegation season when he was either dropped or injured. He also had a shedload of appearances for Torquay (50+) when on loan for Saints. But overall, 1 appearance for a club still in the Football League in the last 4 years, and before that, 4 for Saints in 6 years.
