One, a fat whale, showing off in front of the cameras, in a shameless demonstration of self-appreciation, that only the self would appreciate.

Two, a graceful dive from one of the largest, most beautiful, creatures on the planet, creating a splash that we could only imagine seeing with our own eyes.

All 5 teams below have a game in hand and Pompey are only 4 points ahead of a relegation spot.

Lol.

Matt Bloomfield:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26548168

"Torquay are scrapping for their lives and Exeter have got some good, experienced players in their squad.

Northampton Town have also been on a very good run of form. The appointment of Chris Wilder as manager in January and the subsequent acquisitions of players like Emile Sinclair and Ricky Ravenhill really gave their squad a boost.

It all means that teams in mid-table or just below will still be looking over their shoulders when checking the results on a Saturday afternoon or in midweek."

So imagine the panic in the #lowlyportsmouth board room :D

Oh dear. That goal difference isn't looking too healthy either. Be a shame if they get relegated by a single goal on the last day of the season. mwawahahahahahahah!

Soz. Duplicate MFing post.

Now that could be very interesting, just wonder if it will be pimpey or normal business they will be showing?

Quite hopeful Newport will continue their appalling recent form at home on the beach against Exeter tomorrow, seeing as they're not going to go up they may as well help the Skates down... playing them in a couple of weeks, too.

Towards the end of the season they have three games against teams around them. If they lose a couple of them then they will really be in trouble.

Perhaps they could extend the concept so the players can score imaginary goals? The crowd could to an imaginary celebration and they could imagine getting promoted.

They've already done that!

Among the more original chants was ‘Let’s pretend we’ve scored a goal’, followed by a cheer.

I have been thoroughly enjoying catching up on this bestest following my absence over the last few weeks, then I scrolled onto this piece of gold.

A great, in-depth analysis CORPY, LOL and PMSL at all your stats, what a pleasure for the eyes.

Welcome to League Two you filthy skate c*nt.

 Come on hole, don't hold back. Tell us how you really feel about Corpse.

No need, hope is fading away!:

Woke up this morning hoping to have a more positive frame of mind over yesterday's result but it's virtually impossible when we have a manager that is so negative in his application and execution. We are in a relegation battle now, not when we drop into the bottom two and yet people fail to believe we'll be relegated, that we're too big to go down! We're already fighting for our football league survival and it seems people are not aware of this, including Barking Mad Barker and the Board.

Jeez, even scum didn't sink this low :(

Indeed -

there should be better communication from the PFC board to

the PST board. Club information often becomes public before the PST board knows

about it. PST board should be getting a monthly update on the Club finances and have

received nothing.

So the Trust has no idea on the state of the club finances... :o

Less surprising bombshell from the marketing campaign for businesses to chuck a grand down the blue hole -

“When Pompey win we have

a successful city” is not working as a slogan. There was no response to the News

article.

Before the meeting both Ritchie Barker and financial manager Tony Brown (TB) spoke to the board. TB said that the operating loss for the year would be less than the original forecast while the projected turnover will be higher. This has been helped by the continuing high gates. The League 2 playing budget cap is 55% of turnover, PFC playing budget is 27% of turnover. There is only one other League 2 club that has as low a percentage of turnover. TB would like budget cuts made off the pitch so that the playing budget could be increased. If a player is sold 50% of the fee would go to pay off past players. Chorley, Taylor and Fogden have 18 month contracts, Jervis and Shorey until the end of the season. Alfei is on monthly loan contracts. Next season’s playing budget will not be approved for a while.
