Grant and Story going to stay apparently. Not sure about storys claim to be good at finance if he thinks the sale of Kaboul for about £6M net is going to keep them going for two to three months. Hours is more like it!

why doesn't storie just sod off - he threatens to quit most bloody months, then comes out a day later ''i will stay''.

he's trying to paint himself as the good guy in all this, when tbh he's the man who drove them into this situation in the first place.

I can give you 1.25 million reasons why Storrie is good at finance...

Keep sucking Peter, there's still blood in the corspe.

Thanks to google I am drawn to that bastion of quality football reporting "The Jewish Chronicle".

http://www.thejc.com/sport/sport-news/26646/avram-grant-im-not-resigning%E2%80%99

Sounds like Story has been making up how upset Grant is, surely not!!!

A source in Israel who is very close to the Portsmouth boss told the JC: “I spoke to Avram last night and he has no intention of resigning. He is certainly not angry.

“He understands that several players have to be sold but he is also bringing in three or four players before the transfer window closes.

“He is confident that he still has a squad, which is strong enough to stay in the Premier League.”

This contradicts the statements made by Portsmouth CEO Peter Storrie who yesterday said that he and Grant are considering resigning.

More completely unpredictable (yer right!) news. Burnley can't get pompey to reply to their request to extent Nugents loan. Maybe they forgot to pay the phone bill as well as the electricity bill??

Interesting...the article used honour & P*rtsmouth in the same sentence...albeit in the context of expecting them to honour a deal...but they aren't words that are often seen together!:)

I believe the phrase 'your honour' is heard very frequently in Portsmouth, though...

It is a little strange that Storrie is throwing his toys out of the pram about not being in on the loop about discussions with Spurs. I would assume that his old mate Harry would have kept him pretty much up to date on any news. The least he would have done is picked up the phone to Harry.

Got to hope that the fraud squad, HMRC etc got that one bugged:)

Also the Prem can clearly see that the club is now being run by people as shadow directors, a clear breach of league rules.

Going back to this rallyboy's post earlier. From an article in the telegraph a few days ago...

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/portsmouth/6875439/Portsmouth-secretly-begin-to-offload-players-as-debt-crisis-mounts.html

In a separate development the Premier League is also seeking urgent clarification of the role of Daniel Azougy, a lawyer reported to have multiple fraud convictions in Israel, who is now in charge of Portsmouth's finances.

Azougy was brought into the club by new owner Ali Al-Faraj and has taken over day-to-day control of the club's finances from finance director and board member Tanya Robbins.

As Azougy is not a director he is not subject to the Premier League's fit-and-proper persons test,
but the league has written to Portsmouth seeking clarification that Azougy is not operating as a "shadow director" in breach of their regulations.

Azougy was banned from the Israeli Bar Association for 14 years in 2002 after being convicted of four counts of fraud and obstructing the course of justice. In March this year he was convicted in the Tel Aviv District Court of presenting false documents to the Israel Securities Association regarding the sale of his stake in a public company in 1999.

Unless everyone at the PL required a guide dog and/or a white stick it should be fairly plain to them now that he is acting as a shadow director.

Unless Azougy has been banned from having directorships in the UK he can't be acting as a shadow director. If he can act as a director nothing prevents him being appointed as one by Pompey's owner.

He may (or may not) pass the fit and proper (ha ha) test but the point is he is doing the job of a director without officially being appointed as one and having to pass the test. Its like trying to persuade the police to let you off driving without a licence by telling them that there is obviously no reason why you would fail the test.

I seriously think that the Executives at the PL, should have to take a F&PPT, as it seems they are looking the other way. Surely, Poopy are seeking to gain an unfair advantage over other teams, by trading in players, whilst not paying their day to day running costs. These new loans, will not require payment, until next month, how wrong is that. I despair of the Premier league, and feel it's time for the FA to step in.

They have to give 14 days notice but I doubt they would play in those 2 weeks anyway if they did choose to quit.

I would think they would "pull a sickie" for the two weeks to sort themselves out with a new club.

On O'Hara, I remember him being interviewed one of the other time they didn't pay wages and he said (jokingly) that he was making a killing from it giving other players loans as he was still being paid by Spuds anyway. I imagine poopey are paying 0% of his wages and twitchy is happy to have him playing football and look like he is still doing his bit to help the skates.

You would think this was still a footballing debt and the PL could embargo them again.

Interesting to see they can pull their finger out when they are getting players in on loan but when it comes to the paperwork for Nugents loan (one assumes they are paying at least part of his wages still) there is no one in.

Seriously how the hell does the PL let them sign players even though they will not pay them?

They just got given around £2m just a few day's ago, how has that just vanished?

Back when we were in the **** i had a couple of friends who worked for Saints in admin and one in marketing. They were not very rich people living just about on the line, same as most people. So if i think of the Portsmouth equivelent to them then those people must now themselves be in financial trouble due to this. If you have bills to pay and your late paying them then your going to incur charges for that.

Those are the people i feel sorry for, not the people who are getting thousands of pounds per week.

It is now time the PFA and PL come down hard on them as regardless of being their rival Portsmouth are now taking the ****. If they sign O Hara today even though the staff have not been paid then that is a disgrace that should and could of been avoided.

Interesting from the Skate News articles that Storrie signed off the Kaboul transfer as he 'was the only authorised signatory' - hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Someone telling porkies last night then when saying everything was being done behind his back??

Also, so he is the man who should sign off the Nugent deal, surely?

Smoke & Mirrors? Nah, more like Wheelbarrow and Bullsh1t....

Well this is a surprising development that nobody saw coming...

absolutely, especially as Peter Stories said they wouldn't yesterday evening. he said the money is available to pay the normal staff, but some because of {%*!£^&%#%+& the wages would not go through until Monday. As regards tot he players this is dependent on the Kaboul transfer being completed and funds clearing from that move.

Maradona is going to go ape when he sees a convicted fraudster dismantling his squad, though of course it's just paving the way to bring in all those Galacticos.

Man City v Pompey at the weekend is set to be the first of many battles between the two newest richest clubs in Europe, as Utd fade, Pompey will take their place, and no doubt billionaire mover and shaker Al Fahim will be selling ice creams in the front row again.

Any news on 2018 world cup final tickets in the harbour stadium yet, I tried to look on their website but there were obviously too many people trying to buy champions league hospitality or U2 tickets.

wage bill is £2.8m. I guess they could have paid say 75% of everyones wages though. Or it has gone straight to pay off one of the short term loans.

It was stated somewhere that the money with the PL was down to 1.6M but that the PL also withheld the money for a couple of transfer instalments due about now so I would guess they got 1M at most in the end.

Surely Harry is sneaky enough to try and get Kaboul to walk for free for a bigger signing on fee?

I think its obviously a toss up between getting him now for below what he is worth compared to having to fight it out later with other possible bidders. Remember if they do become free agents after the transfer window has closed they may have a number of desperate clubs come calling.

in the words of Keving Keegan - I WOULD LOVE IT IF THEY PULLED OUT OF THE DEAL

That would be sweet wouldn't it.

Unfortunately I'd guess O'Hara returning could be part of the deal?

But hopefully the PL will be sooo p*ssed off with them not paying wages again they'll immediately reinstate to embargo and any deals done in the last few deals are null-and-void.

Wishful thinking.

Probably, but he appears to have drifted into the background a bit doesn't he? When was the last time he made any sort of official statement?

He runs things. The Quay have been trying to get him on their show for months but for some strange reason he refuses. He did one or two interviews at the time the `March to the Park' was announced - possibly to try and appease fans a little, but none before or after.

As I understand it all the finances are now overseen by him. I believe the finance officer resigned last week, and we now Tells Stories isn't allowed anywhere near the books (who can blame Jacobs for that, would you want Tells Stories near your money???).

I just wonder if Jacobs gave Stories permission to tell the world last night the inner affairs of PFC? If I was Jacobs I'd be fuming. Stories has undermined him. Amazed he has not got shot. Perhaps he just hopes that if he gives the ****er enough rope...
