I'm loath to question the News, but do UEFA's financial fair play regulations actually cover League Two clubs?

Boss: Pompey will never overspend again

...

blues boss Guy Whittingham insists he will never allow his pursuit of progress to put the club in jeopardy.

...

Pompey have recruited four new faces in recent weeks

...

‘I wouldn’t say there’s a struggle at all. We have a great working relationship.

However, the Pompey chief executive has been quick to stress the 93-day emergency loan deal for the keeper had been agreed with chairman Stewart Day – not Blackwell.

‘I would be highly surprised if the change of manager affected Trevor being here,’ said Catlin.

‘The agreement we have is not with the manager but the chairman, Stewart Day.

‘I suppose, normally, any new manager would want his players back from loans to have a look at that.

‘But this deal was brokered directly with the chairman, not the manager, that’s the truth.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. So if a new manager is appointed and wants to recall Carson, the chairman won't allow it? Wouldn't that be a great start to their working relationship? :mcinnes:

I see there's the usual load of mongoloids on @pn_neil_allen webchat today then

Neil Allen@pn_neil_allen

Very tragic. Full of their own conspiracies which can be swatted away easily by facts - then they disappear.

Neil Allen@pn_neil_allen

Once I outed the idiots they disappeared. Obsessed with the same few issues so very obvious.

jay-r-72@jayr1972

@pn_neil_allen what's this companies house thing mate?

Sj Maskell@SjMaskell

@jayr1972 @pn_neil_allen All money we owe (PCC, PFA, Robinson) is registered at companies house as debentures on the ground.

Sj Maskell@SjMaskell

@jayr1972 @pn_neil_allen scummers seem to think it is a big deal - but we have already cleared one (PCC loan).

mike fulcher@mikefrompompey21h

@SjMaskell @jayr1972 @pn_neil_allen they should spend a bit more time looking into their own debt! Obsessed and jealous

I asked yesterday why the PCC charge was still there if the loan had been related. Thought if the charge had gone it would have been an easy one to answer.

Maybe we could answer it for you here then, to save you the trouble of asking them again.

Charges don't just disappear, you have to pay lawyers to make application have them removed. In Pompey's case they probably have other priorities. Removing that charge won't improve their position in any meaningful way, it will only rearrange the queue of other creditors waiting to get their hands on FP. If it was the only charge it would be a different kettle of fish.

The fact that charge is still there doesn't tell me whether they've paid back the loan or not.

In actual fact the Company Secretary can remove the charge by submitting Form 47? to the Companies Registry after the Loan has been repaid. This would improve the Company's standing should anyone make a search at the Registry. It is not surprising that whoever the Company Secretary is. he/she has not got the nounce to know this. Unless of course the PCC Loan is still in existance.

As the loan came from a public body, would information on this sort of thing be available through a Freedom of Information Act request?

lucky I wasn't about earlier for the whole seasoning-based punfest, I would have relished getting involved in that.

As for the charge, if you've paid off the debt and met all conditions, then get the charge lifted.

It's not the rantings of 'mongoloids', it's a fair question that any pompey fan who has chucked a grand down the shi!!er should be allowed to ask - why is the charge still there?

We can only pray that Europe's finest living investigative hospitality and community liaison manager will be penning another PR-heavy and selective blog to explain whether they are being vague about satisfying the council, or that they are just hugely inefficient and have little grasp of how high finance works.

I wonder whether this is a fitting remark for somebody in his employment position?

Perhaps his next child will have Downs Syndrome and he might then learn how distasteful and offensive his remarks are.

Don't knock it, he's a freelance sports writer whose "writing credits" include... wait for it... Pompey Online. :mcinnes:

Well, the last two pages should be saved for prosperity, so when it all goes pop again, which it most certainly will, we can point out that it was those nasty 'orrible scummahs that asked the questions once again instead of the Skates. I doubt Micah will be copy pasting this time around now that he is one of the boys.

And I thought getting posterity confused with prosperity was purely a Skate problem. ;)

'Rapier' Employment. Who thinks these company names up?!

Working in the staffing sector, I can safely say that being a branch manager at a Truck Drivers recruitment company is about as League Two as it gets.

That's a bit harsh! He's also establishing 'Rapier' as a 'name' within the construction industry, so he's at least mid table League 2.

I'd like to know why he has no work history between 1997 and 2002. What was he doing for five years? Did he do a stretch at Her Majesty's pleasure?

Sorry nutjobs.

Seems the award for most clueless Journo in the world is NOT held by #factless.

Just to give you an early morning chortle, the actual worst Journo appears to be in Mexico....

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2465547/Who-going-tell-Reporter-gets-laugh-asks-Gravity-director-If-difficult-filming-space.html

Hit movie 'Gravity' has been acclaimed for its realistic portrayal of a disaster in space - so much so that one reporter seemed to believe the film was filmed on location in orbit.

Quizzing director Alfonso Cuarón at a press conference to promote the George Clooney and Sandra Bullock star vehicle in Mexico City, an apparently sincere journalist asked about the difficulties experienced in space.

Unsure whether or not he was being sent up, a game Cuarón played it straight and told the reporter that he was in space for three and half months with Clooney and Bullock and that he suffered from terrible sickness during their mission training.

Of course if you read the full article you'll see that maybe #factless can still claim the title

I see Connolly has now missed four matches and his return doesn't seem imminent.

Who could have seen that coming?

Didn't he agree to leave if he missed a long run of games through injury?

That could save them a few quid...

If they hadn't given him the coaching role.

He's more likely to rip up a hamstring than his contract.

Nice to see they're back into 'ready-made-excuses' mode although a shame they're yet to drop the 'opponents-cup-final' rhetoric...

“They will come to Fratton Park and look forward to playing in front of a big crowd.

“If I was a player on their side I would think that we’ll go there, work hard and come back with a result. It’s going to be a difficult game.

factless and his mob praised the contract to great fanfare... ten games IIRC, 20 odd % of the season, LOL. Im sure he will put in a quick shift in a few games time just to keep his income as secure as it can possibly be when working for skate.

Rather anal I know, but FOI request submitted and acknowledged. Response expected within 20 working days.

LOL, very good!

When you're ****, Guy, all games are difficult.

In one! Obviously getting their excuses in early while the masses are given the usual bile. Sad their inferiority complex is so much they need constant praise and gratification via the Septic Isle media sycophants.

Outside Pompey = no-one gives 5h1t
