Damn - was going to register http://www.afcportsmouth.co.uk/ but it would seem that someone beat me to it :) Could be the site of the future !! Someones also registered portsmouthafc.co.uk - spose they are just getting ready for the inevitable.

So, what other internet sites should we pre-empt and register now then so we can either point them at the SWF or sell them on for huge profit at a later date?

Just a thought to Fitzhugh. Given all the material on here in this absolute farce that is the demise of the once proud Poopey, would he consider turning it into a book?. It would have a market in both cities. In the red half a comedy that beggars credibilty. In the Blue half the LAST book ever written about the Club. Mind you you might need to change the name of your publising company from Hagiology to Poopery.

What do you think?

I think we should just print this straight from the forum, turn it into a book, sell it for charity and donate some of the proceeds to a headstone for the PFC burial spot.

From todays Guardian fiver newsletter thing..

Obviously having a club website is not the be-all and end-all of life and, as recently as the late 1990s, many football clubs are believed to have been still relaying important team-, ticket- and winding-up order-related news to their fans through more old fashioned information outlets. The town crier was once a popular instrument of information dissemination, and one Portsmouth are believed to be considering if they can find a
suitably preposterous looking individual with his own hand-bell
.

Some reports that Storrie and Grant have resigned.

I hope that it is not true, how can Avram walk away now, in the current climate they have become reliant on him, there will be uproar, they can't take a loss like this it will be devastating...anyway enough about Unit 1 doubt if PFC are happy about it.

Judging by the comments on Pompey Online, it would seem they actually back Grant if he does resign because of the farcical situation.

£4m, thats the wage bill sorted then, right? Still massively in the poop.

Nope - the deal is agreed with Lens who get the money. It just means Pompey won't have to pay the remaining transfer fee - which they weren't paying anyway. This is why Lens dropped the threat of action against Pompey and part of the reason they got their transfer ban overturned.

Just reading on that pompey chimes website that some bloke reckons its all a terrorist plot you couldnt make it up.

"I am ready for the many rebuttals I may receive, but we are all intitled to an opinion, so here goes:

Terrorism doesn't just have to be about fighting a war. The financial uncertainty after 9/11 was felt around the globe as the US scurried for cover. maybe they are hitting Britain a different way, but harming a public way of life is still terrorism even if no bullets are fired (difficult to prove too)

When you consider the complete mismanagement of the club since the recent takeovers (escalated from Sacha'a fated reign) could there be more to this than meets the eye:

Consider the current war on terror and you'll find an enemy that might be manoevering a master plan to un-hinge the stability of our 'leisure and pasttime' as a way of life.

While we are wining militarily due to batter equipped and trained forces, we are currently losing the media war on terror as the enemy just has to threaten the Allies and the people get scared to fly etc.... (mainly this side of the pond) and the economics goes haywire.

If a premiership team was to go out of business, how would it affect the rest of the football world, especially in the UK? If Pompey don't try and pay bills, it will be a very public disaster (already is) but nothing too harmful as we are an unassuming club that no one would notice until too late. With so many Prem and almost all lower league teams in debt, economists have been saying for a while that the 'house of cards' will fall after the first 'big' club goes out of business. Not administration, but completely gone.

Pompey don't even look as if they're trying to pay bills, just putting out fires till the time is right and all attention is on them. Is it a coincidence that we've found two people from Dubai and Saudi Arabia who don't have any money between them, yet have walked in financial circles ...... and what religeon are they again (I understand and accept that 95% of Muslims are just like us and don't consider themselves at war with Christianity)?

If not financially, they will beat us by numbers within 3 generations at the current birth rate (UK is 1.78 and Muslims around 6.7 - rate of birth needed to amintain population 2.11) Just do the maths and see how scary that ratio is."
