What's http://www.pompeyfc.co.uk/ ? Could be they are upgrading / scraping the old official site and putting it up on that link instead? Hmm
stevegrant Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/ = the official site. What's http://www.pompeyfc.co.uk/ ? Could be they are upgrading / scraping the old official site and putting it up on that link instead? Hmm They both usually link to the same place - little bit odd they've put a "maintenance" message up on one but just a "website unavailable" one on the other.
hypochondriac Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 http://www.pompeyfc.co.uk/ "We are currently undergoing website maintenance and will be back shortly." Sure they are.

Could be they are upgrading / scraping the old official site and putting it up on that link instead? Hmm Think it must be an old official site? Registered in 1997 so definitely not a 'new' site. http://www.track-ip.com/whois/pompeyfc.co.uk
ottery st mary Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 Does that mean there will now be an avalanche of creditors adding there business to the same HMRC petition?
hypochondriac Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 They both usually link to the same place - little bit odd they've put a "maintenance" message up on one but just a "website unavailable" one on the other. Unless it is a lie and they are trying to mislead their fans.

saint lard Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 Unless it is a lie and they are trying to mislead their fans. Surely you are not inssinuating that they would do something so dispicable

Made in Southampton Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 So say that the Saints Vs Pompey match didnt take place due to them going bust and ceaseing to exist. Do you think we'd be lineing up with the rest of them asking for money in the winding up order due to loss of revenue?
pedg Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 (edited) In other breaking news all transfer activity as pompey has been halted after their brown paper envelope suppliers removed all their stock from Fratton park due to non-payment. Edited 28 January, 2010 by pedg

S-Clarke Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 The staff are not getting paid tomorrow. no surprise what so ever. it's a joke that their embargo was lifted at all.
Pancake Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 Apparently getting Mido in... and a typical classy PFC reply. http://www.fansonline.net/portsmouth/mb/view.php?id=226301
S-Clarke Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 Woes at Portsmouth affecting Guernsey Financial woes at Premiership football club Portsmouth are having a knock-on effect in Guernsey. The club was funding the island's soccer development centre - hoping to find a new Matt Le Tissier. But local coaches working for the club have been paid late and bills for hiring pitches and training facilities have not been met. This morning the Guernsey Football Association has pledged to keep the centre going for the rest of this season. Portsmouth say they'll continue to pay the coaches, but the GFA will now pick up the bills for venue hire - reckoned to be around two thousand pounds.

Tom Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 no surprise what so ever. it's a joke that their embargo was lifted at all. From what i have heard.... (my best mate works for them) that there is somewhat of a rebellion going on.... I.e equipment is being taken in exchange for unpaid wages (he is the cameraman) It gets better all the time. !
Tractor_Saint Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 haha good work guys.. Sky SPorts news just anounced that the website has been shut down and mentioned they'd had a few emails on it Just uploaded to YouTube for those at work

aintforever Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 They are trying to take on additional wages with loanees - £10K,£20K a week? Yet they can't pay their local suppliers a few quid? Criminal, despicable, unethical = bringing the game and the league into disrepute. Nail on the head. The fact that they are doing this with the Premier Leagues blessing makes it all the worse.
Merovingian Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 say goodbye boys - the end is nigh - 2nd winding up order issued apparently. The fat lady is about to sing and the lights are about to go out

krissyboy31 Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 On Solent Twitter now! solentsport #Pompey official club website closed down due to non-payment of operating bills
Um Bongo Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 With Portsmouth now admitting to failing to pay yet another body, how can the FA let them carry on? They clearly have no money. They cannot function as a working club. The staff won't be paid. It's like watching a deer spasm around after being hit by a car going at 50mph. Just shoot them and do the right thing.
S-Clarke Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 say goodbye boys - the end is nigh - 2nd winding up order issued apparently. The fat lady is about to sing and the lights are about to go out don't go before you come to visit us, we want to send you out in style where have you heard about that btw? what happened with the takeover? i have looked on a few of your forums but i can't see anything on it now.
ohwhenthesaints Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 Will all the other creditors now sign up to the winding up petition to ensure that they get a slice of money pie if PFC get wound up?

Just shoot them and do the right thing. surely they're insolvent? they're only paying players wages (late) each month by getting short term loan deals (i.e not their money) and apparently, the info on the wage slip (who's paid them) changes every month.
Hatch Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 No more revenue from OS Website advertising. Most of it was from Jobsite.com if any PFC employees are reading this.

The fat lady is about to sing and the lights are about to go out What makes me sad Mero is that the majority of your fans are now suffering because of incompetence, and lying, cheating bastards. I hope they all go down for a long long time. All the best. ..and to the Poopey fans who still gloat about our position in L1....look up Karma in a dictionary. Oh. You can't read...and fish can't turn pages. Nevermind. Edited 28 January, 2010 by Channon's Sideburns
hutch Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 ... the info on the wage slip (who's paid them) changes every month. Wages? Or short term loans?
Hatch Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 Pompey away at Man City on Sunday. That is quite a long way to go, Wonder if they can afford to fill the coach up with petrol Maybe the players will end up catching lifts off the supporters.
krissyboy31 Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 (edited) Apparently talks in advanced stages to sell Kaboul back to Spuds! Every little helps, eh Harry?! Begovic as well apparently! Does that mean Niemi in goal against us? Edited 28 January, 2010 by krissyboy31

S-Clarke Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 breaking news again Pompey in advanced talks with Tottenham for Kaboul t return to White hart Lane. Saggy not trying to cover his tracks is he im sure he'll pocket a nice bit of cash too.
ericofarabia Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 Is that the sound of Susan Boyle gargling that I hear
skintsaint Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 breaking news again Pompey in advanced talks with Tottenham for Kaboul t return to White hart Lane. Saggy not trying to cover his tracks is he I bet he pays over 5m for him which would be stupid.
miserableoldgit Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 Gonna be a tight squeeze in the taxi isn't it Caravan, surely!
hutch Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 Gonna be a tight squeeze in the taxi isn't it Down here (and all over africa), a "taxi" is a 16-seater minibus (Toyota HiAce type). Should do nicely, most of them will be familiar!
JackFrost Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 Pompey's website being disconnected is laughable enough. But surely this will cost the club more money as the site advertising isn't being displayed and the advertisers can pull their funding?
RedAndWhite91 Posted 28 January, 2010 Posted 28 January, 2010 Did I read somewhere that if their staff don't get paid for a third time, then they will be wound up/placed in admin/other punishment? I am sure I read it, but I could have been dreaming. I do have some odd dreams; Pompey v Saints FA Cup final the other night.

However the list of creditors could go up a bit more, lucky for then they have such a small squad.

It means the players can hand 14 days notice in and walk away for free... which is probably a massive reason why P*mpey have been quiet on the selling, quite simply because clubs have been waiting for payday to see if they can pick their targets up on a freebie.
