trousers Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 (edited) But of course its all ok as long its not the fans fault, right? Yes, of course. If you're a Pompey fan you can detach and distance yourself from all the bad things that were done in your name but keep all the good stuff. A history pick and mix if you like. FA Cup win....? "Kanu is our hero!".... Players being paid to much....? "Kanu! Leave the club without being paid what you're due you leaching scum!" Edited 24 April, 2013 by trousers
trousers Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 .. for full payment up front or 7 days credit terms?
trousers Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 Anyway....popcorn at the ready for the 10:30 press conference...
rallyboy Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 not sure I can face it. Sycophantic backslapping, dewy-eyed children, doves being released, stunt display by mobility scooters - it's all going to be a bit sickly. Will they release those details today? What is Chinny going to get? On the day of purchase, what percentage was bought by the fans? This is a job for our old mate 'avin a larf mush'. He'd sort out some transparency. I predict another media love-in where elephants sit in front of the PDT bedsheet banner, yet no one mentions them.
dronskisaint Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 Anyway....popcorn at the ready for the 10:30 press conference... Agreed...always good to see a massive PR build up before reality sends it plumetting to the ground! Thousands of posts left in this thread - take your seats for endless amusement as they pluckily take on clubs two whole steps above Eastleigh

Im with Lord Trousers on this one, popcorn at the ready... nutjob style. champagne ian will be popping corks off everywhere, straight out of the bar chiller, most likely from Chinnys stock too... just stick it on the tab, the parachute will cover everything ten times over. Any spillages during aggressive back slapping can be mopped up using the pdt bedsheet. Im interested in Chinnys floater, £2m cash above and beyond his fixed charge on the assets which Birch forgot about. Will the pdt validate TCWTBs season ticket for life, along with the other 300 skates?
trousers Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 Did this get an airing on here last week? I must have missed it amongst the ticker tape and champagne spray...
trousers Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 (edited) http://www.pompeyonline.com/2013/04/this-is-the-day/ Wayhay....they're gonna fix the pipes at long last! As supporters we’ll be there on a match day, but we’ll also be there in numbers whenever the board needs us: whether that’s to paint the changing rooms, fix a leaky pipe or clear snow from the pitch. It’s a proper football club now, it’s back to where it started by being a team for the people of Portsmouth (people from other locales also accepted) and we love it even more because of this. Anyone for a sweepstake on how often the phrase "sorry, can't elaborate on that yet as it's still commercially sensitive" crops up...?
Glasgow_Saint Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 What percentage of PFC is owned by the supporters?
dubai_phil Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 What percentage of PFC is owned by the supporters? That's easy - 100%. The supporters own PFC and a piece of paper that says Golden Share. The Property Developers own the Players, the Land, the (how many times they been repossessed Computers) The ticket office Hut, the paper clips, the Kettle etc etc etc It's all about The Spin
Danish Saint Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 Chinny's floater might be the turd that flushes them out :-)
dubai_phil Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 Chinny's floater might be the turd that flushes them out :-) Of course it would not be at all funny if TB had actually gone and paid that off before the sale went through and the boys woke up from their 13k hangover to find a debatable black hole because of that (or something else) No siree it would not be funny at all, oh how the media would wail.

trousers Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 @NabilHassan79: #pompey chairman Iain McInnes tells press that new manager Guy Whittingham will have a "competitive" budget in League Two.

HNW's £1.6m #pompey @solentsport: Brown: "The twelve newly-appointed Presidents have contributed £1.6m between them in addition to the £1.9m community pledges" #pompey @pn_neil_allen: Presidents have put in £1.6m. andysstuff Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 @solentsport: Ashley Brown: "First batch of shares the PST are buying is £1.5m worth. Further £400k being processed." #pompey £1.5m is slightly below what we thought. Still less than 50%.
trousers Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 Jordan Cross@pn_jordan_cross Farmery: We're 100 per cent owned by fans who care about the club #Pompey
Gemmel Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 The HNW figure is the initial figure they contributed and (I think) doesn't include the additional money the subsidized during the administration which is being converted into equity.
saintmatt Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 The whole setup since the takeover has been far from professional - from the guys cracking out the bubbly in the directors' box and milking the applause in the centre circle the other day to this press conference, which looks like its taking place in my local village hall! It's a world away from what we've become accustomed to from our owners who have revamped the whole image of the club and just quietly go about their business in the background.
andysstuff Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 If they've got £1.9m in pledges, why are try holding £400k back at first - seems a bit odd.
Rusty Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 Will the pdt validate TCWTBs season ticket for life, along with the other 300 skates? Yes.
saintmatt Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 Do these season tickets for life actually exist? Sorry, bit late to the party!
Gemmel Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 For anyone that was worried, these guys would actually come in a do something or get them up the leagues.................Don't be.
JackanorySFC Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 So the PST have £1.5m (and the "conversion team are on the case for another £400k), the Presidents have £1.6m. By my maths I make PST 48% shareholders.
andysstuff Posted 24 April, 2013 Posted 24 April, 2013 89% think they can make a serious promotion push next season...... It's all about budgets innit.
